Almost completely sold out by 930 on a Monday morning, and with good reason. We snagged a handful of varieties that were available (sadly no conchas) and each one was soft and flavorful. I'm not sure we will make it back this way to try it again but this place is definitely worth a stop if you can get here early enough. read more

Great bread. Horrible inconsistent opening hours for a bakery. I was there at 8am once as advertised in google or yelp. Place did not open for 15 mins. Done that twice, and sorry I have to give my business to a consistent business with advertised hours. They don't even have a sign at the store front showing store hours. If you are not open by 6 am, you are not a true traditional Panaderia. I want pan (pastries) for breakfast not whenever you decide to open or whenever you want to wake up. If you opened early and were reliable I would leave a 5 star. read more

I was passing by on my bike and I remembered that yesterday I had been here to buy a rosca with my gf and I told myself I would come back because they had this torta looking bread stuffed with cheese and jalapeños. Unfortunately, they didn't have any. I was bummed out. I guess I came at a good time because there was a radio station there doing a raflle and giving away free shit. Well, since they didnt have any of that stuff that I was looking for, I bought three little dessert for $1.65. I don't know but kinda pricy because I believe all the desserts I chose were suppose to be 40 cents each. This panederia is failry small and the selection is small. Weak! read more

Probably my favorite spot for authentic pan dulce. Everything is made fresh daily. The cakes are amazing and they do great airbrush techniques and fondant. I had read lots of great reviews so I decided to give this place a try but was left a little disappointed. I got there early (about 5 min before opening) but they didn't actually open on time, they were 15 minutes late to arrive. Not too big of a deal since I know this happens to everyone sometimes but when I went in there was hardly any bread to select from and I'm pretty sure a lot of what was there was from the day before. I saw most people ordering their conchas and those were coming from the back so I figured those were fresh. I ended up ordering a few of those and a couple of other things but nothing that really wowed me. The conchas were good but on the small side. Not sure if I went at a bad time or they were having an off day. I can't give more than a 3 but I might try again some time if im in the neighborhood. If nothing else, maybe I'll be lucky enough to see the cute friendly kitty in the parking lot again. read more

I had long ago forsaken 'conchas' because at most bakeries they always lacked flavor and the delicious sugary topping would always fall off (and there was never enough) and they didn't taste freshly baked (no matter when I got them). My sister mentioned this place to me months ago and I've been there like 3-4 times, specifically for their conchas - they are soft, freshly baked, the topping is crispy and flavorful and they are bite size (ok maybe 2-3 bites, but who's counting?). They are worth waiting for, and they come out of the oven usually early afternoon and they go rather quickly. They might make them more often than every afternoon, but that's been my experience - call ahead to be sure. I am now a concha lover (mind out of gutter, please) and I only get them from this place. This place is right out of TJ, the bread on the windows, the bent pans, the only thing that isn't TJ are the prices. Each basic piece is about .46-.60¢, filled ones are about $1. They always have plenty of Conhas which is what I'm all about, but what I go there for is most definitely the chocolate donuts. Their Chocolate is soooooo good, goes great with coffee I always surprise myself when a little bag ends up being about $6, but it's worth it for that true Mexican bakery taste. Go but DON'T stock up, after a couple of days the bread gets hard, its meant to enjoy that night or the next morning. read more

I may be a bit biased because my grandfather was a baker here when I was a kid. I know it's slightly pricier than other places bit the quality is so worth it. They are small, you walk in, grab a tray/tongs, and pick out all the goodies you want. Fruit empanadas, conches, cookies, etc. The classics. I got 7 cookies, 5 empanadas, and a conch for 3.75. I couldn't wait to pull out of the parking lot to dive in. They had pictures of custom cakes and they look really nice. Also the cakes in the window looked beautiful. Not sure about pricing though.
