Seeing the Downtown Dallas Skyline in person was really impressive. The mix of modern skyscrapers and unique buildings makes it stand out, especially with the bright lights at night. I spent some time just looking across the city and taking it all in, and it's one of those skylines that really gives you that big city feeling. There are several great viewpoints where you can see the whole skyline, and it makes for some great photos. It's definitely something worth checking out if you're visiting Dallas or just passing through. The buildings, lights, and overall atmosphere make it a memorable sight. read more

Downtown Dallas Skyline - Throw back to 2009 Dallas skyline in the background - Local Flavor Near Me

I recently saw a review for the Dallas skyline. That's cool! I can do a review, too. I have been to Dallas twice in my life. The first was over a decade ago for a conference. The other time was in January 2019. I stayed downtown the first time. I spent more time figuring out the city the second time. Dallas has a gorgeous skyline. It's not overdeveloped. It is rich in history. There is plenty to do downtown. During my conference, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is steps away from Reunion Tower. Reunion Tower is a ball-shaped observation tower. I love hitting any tower in a city to get skyline shots. It was a bit nippy on a January day, but the views were spectacular. I'd imagine that they are even more gorgeous at night. From the Hyatt, I walked over to Dealey Plaza on a conference break. There is The Sixth Floor Museum where you learn about John F. Kennedy's assassination. The sixth floor is where the shooter was. The street below has an X where he was shot. Kennedy's assassination was well before my time. Dallas wants you to learn about its history. I'm glad that I took the time with a friend to do so. I like interesting, quirky aspects of a city. I loved visiting the cattle drive statues. These statues felt like they came to life. I also became enamoured by a giant eyeball. Who knew? It looked cool and the history behind its creation is equally as fun. I miss Dallas. I've lived here all my life and never witnessed the onslaught of commercial development. There is so much to do and see downtown at all hours 24/7/365. Its become a real cosmopolitan City and while the overcrowding can be nerve-wracking, the trade-off of excitement is an acceptable compromise! read more

When driving through downtown Dallas, you gotta blast the theme song from the famous television daytime soap opera, Dallas. This place is bigger than JR. I love Dallas' skyline. The Reunion Tower looks like a giant dandelion, and the Republic Bank Tower with its green lights, and the tower with the giant needle eye- this place is beautiful. It's always so cool to see the downtown Dallas skyline in truck TV commercials. They always show it for Truck Month. More like the Sighline, because it'll make you Sigh. The skyline of Dallas is pretty and spectacular compared to most, but compared to its main rival Houston, it doesn't match up as favourably. The colors are as good if not bette, but the buildings themselves don't have quite the same amazing power and presence, and they are a little bit shorter. Also the downtown just looks a bit smaller than Houston. For a city that always thinks of itself as the bigger and better rival of Houston, the fact that the downtown is smaller and the city is smaller and has a smaller population and that the city is eclipsed by its neighbour Fort Worth is an interesting Testament. But judging Dallas against most American cities in terms of skyline, Dallas wins. And is definitely gorgeous and can be seen for miles. The best food and drinks: In DFW get Meerut Kebab - the best Chicken Boti and Karahi you'll ever have. That's the top 5 in Houston place, btw. Downtown Dallas skyline has one of the best skylines yet! The views driving toward the city are breathtaking and it will anticipate you more to get out and explore. Dallas is home to the NHL team the Dallas Stars, and the NBA team the Dallas Mavericks who both play Downtown in the American Airlines Center. There is so much history in Dallas such as the area of where our President John F Kennedy was assassinated. The city is very beautiful with different types of architecture and building structures. One of the most famous buildings is the Bank of America building which typically at night lights up green but displays different colors I have also seen purple as well. The Omni hotel located Downtown displays such a great view at night and on Stars hockey games they usually display the Victory Green Colors with the Stars logo. Dallas has many museum's to offer as well as parks, and tourist attractions. One of my favorite attractions are the science museum, Klyde Warren Park, and Pioneer Plaza all located Downtown. Dallas is home to many restaurants and bars that serve up great local or ethnic flavor in a nice southern warm hospitality aspect. Downtown is also home to the famous Aquarium and the state wide known Reunion tower and, Giant eyeball which is a must see! Overall Downtown Dallas has beautiful views during day and night time and the streets are always clean of trash and debris. Downtown is a pretty safe city walking around with plenty of security and law enforcement as well. Once again the BIG D is a must visit and I highly recommend you to see for yourself! read more

Dallas really has one of the most unique skylines around, thanks to the "green building" (which no one calls "Bank of America Plaza," but that's what it is) and the Reunion Tower (make sure you eat in the rotating restaurant at least once for the view! There is an observation level too). Take a drive down I-35 to take in the view if you are in town. read more

I had a great time in Downtown Dallas. The skyline is so beautiful at night. There's minimal construction going on right now in Dallas and that is so awesome. It was pretty easy to navigate through the city and I can't wait to go back so that I can walk downtown and check out all the buildings and places I missed on this trip. What a gorgeous city! Dallas has such a unique and breathtaking skyline. The combination of all the beautiful buildings and bridges over the Trinity River make it so unique. This morning, starting out in downtown Dallas is a group of runners, running what used to be called the White Rock Marathon, for now it's the BMW Dallas Marathon. The runners will get to see so many different views of the city, how fun!
