Spa Serenity is now my…read morego-to for haircuts; they're a an expected price for a more upscale place and I've only been disappointed once -it was a little hurried because I think I was her last client on a Saturday. Otherwise, it's a great place for your routine haircuts. I usually do my own Brazilian waxes but I decided to save myself the inconvenience and have one of the lovely ladies make it quick. Yes, it's pricey but considering the time and pain it takes me for these I'd say it's worth it for how long the results last. Painful? Oh yes, but maybe 20 minutes tops. Usually people are nervous or embarrassed to get into the awkward positions a Brazilian requires but the conversation was calming and fun so the whole thing went smoothly. I booked my next one 7 weeks out and will probably make it a routine too.

However, the ladies at Hair Force exceeded my expectations. I have long hair and wanted a full foil with highlights and lowlights. The color was perfect and the application was thorough and came out natural looking. I also got a haircut that really took the dead ends off but didn't make it too short. She layered it and I'm loving it as it had been a while since I tried that style. She knew how to make it look healthier and thicker and still keep the length. She styled it great and spent ample time with me, never rushing and putting her full attention into the service. The price was outstanding, very reasonable and much lower than higher-priced alternatives in the area or in Madison. I literally drive here from Madison for the service, it is that worth it. What you may not realize is that this business is open to the public and inside of the warm and welcoming St. Clare Medical Campus complex. It serves all of the residents of their senior assisted living and nursing care residences. I love giving my business to a non-profit healthcare organization and they have a deli/coffee area and other things that make it more inviting than your standard salon. Consider doing something different and choosing Hair Force!

The staff were also willing to respect my request to be masked during my appointment, and all equipment was either disposed or sanitized after my visit. My impression is they take hygiene and COVID seriously. Five stars, will definitely recommend! (One more note: free and ample street parking is a plus!)

The front desk wasn't especially friendly so I didn't leave feeling like we just tried to do some relaxing for ourselves. Bright interior, lots of colors to choose from for both gel and acrylic. Around 6 manicure stations and 9 pedicure chairs. Relatively comfy. I understand that not everyone wants to talk during getting their nails done but the woman doing it really struggled answering pretty simple questions about the polish I had in English, it was a little frustrating. It was pretty dusty on the chairs, shelves and boxes, as well as dried spills on the trays they were using so I'm hoping they're being hygienic with their tools because it didn't look like parts of the shop had been wiped down. The pedicure turned out nice but it was overpriced for the experience. The only nail salon that's charged a credit card fee no matter the card type. I don't think we will be returning customers.
