Clean, professional and friendly service. Book in advance, but I saw walk-ins get in quickly while I was there in the morning. Lots of seats for manicures and pedicures. Kathy also does a great job with eyebrow waxing. Keep in mind that the atmosphere is a nail salon not a spa and set your expectations accordingly. (I would give zero stars if I could) This was by far the worst manicure I have ever received. I came in with a clear photo of what I wanted, and from the moment the technician started, it was obvious he either didn't know how to do it or didn't care to try. I told him right away that it didn't look right and showed the reference picture again. He still refused to get help from another technician--even though someone else may have been able to actually achieve the look. What's worse, I walked out with three cuticles bleeding, and now have a minor infection developing along one of my fingers. This goes beyond a bad manicure--this is unacceptable and unsafe. And the technician saw me bleeding while he was working and when asked if I was ok- I said it really hurt. He was sanding my skin! When I spoke with the owner and her husband, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. I explained that I was only in town temporarily for work, and they said the only way I could receive a refund was if I returned to the salon and let them remove the manicure. I told them, very clearly, that after leaving their business with injuries, there was no chance I would allow them to touch me again. They refused to refund me, take responsibility, or show any concern for my health or satisfaction. I will absolutely never return and will be warning every coworker and friend I have to steer clear of this salon. You should be ashamed of the way you treat your customers--and for running a business where poor technique and rudeness are the norm. read more

I needed my nails done, so I landed at this spot with my significant other. I was hoping that it would be an amazing experience, but I was let down. I looked over the services that they had to offer. The Manicure options included Hand soak, nail cut + file, cuticle care hand massage with lotion. I went with the Basic Manicure Color. It was $25. The Spa Pedicure options included Foot soak, nail cut + file, cuticle care, callus removal, scrub, lotion leg/ foot massage, hot towel, polish. I went with the Classic. It was $38. Not too long after waiting, I was guided to sit down for the pedicure. I was stranded with my feet in the water for quite a bit. I tried out the massage on the chair to pass the time, but it was weak and worthless. The pedicure felt a bit rushed and it definitely wasn't relaxing. I got a clear coat and it turned out nice at least. The quality didn't seem to match the price of $38. After the pedicure, I was guided to a different area to sit down at for the manicure. I didn't care for this service. I wish it was more detailed. A price of $15 would have been a better fit for the quality I received on this one. The service was spotty. My technician kept leaving me during both of my services to take care of other things, so that was unfortunate for me. I felt that I should have been her priority from start to finish. She did alright when she actually had a groove going, but her focus quickly strayed away. Overall, this was a convenient spot to get my nails done, but not a good one. My visit fell under average. I felt like the guy doing my nails was the head of the salon and kept having conversations with all the walk ins along with the technicians. walk ins are welcome, so I tried for a walk in, was told to come back in 30 mins when they had appointments available I went back 30 mins later and they said they couldn't get me in for another 90-120 mins. that was disappointing. I did not want to do that due to the inability they had with appointments and making them work. I didn't want to come back 2 hours later for them to tell me they were behind again and waste my day. In town for vacation from Illinois. After having no luck with the last 2 nail salons, this was our last attempt in getting a pedicure. And what a great experience it was. They were super busy but sat us down and started soaking our feet while we waited. I presume the lady there was the owner because she handled everything like a boss and getting things done. We had an appointment for 4 chairs 2 weeks in advance. We arrived on time and were served 1/2 he later after asking when they would be ready our pedicures were poorly done. My toes were redone 4 times as the staff could not do them correctly (his choice, not mine to redo them) I did not complain. With my manicure - my nails were crooked. Ragged and the polish applied poorly. I then asked if they could be redone. I was given a nail file and some polish remover. I sat by the door and finished my nails I let them know I was disappointed and would not be back I am not a rude person and I held my manners in check. read more

The overall vibe of the place is welcoming and clean, I needed my nails done asap after breaking some at work this morning. Overpriced for what I got. I get a new set almost every two weeks. I have been getting my nails done for years. A short set with a simple french tip should not be so much. I paid $72! I needed a soak off and was given a damaging removal. My cuticles did not get cut and were not cleaned up after from the acrylic. In between me and the client before me, there was no sterilization of the equipment and the file he used on my nails was already used! I do not feel that I got what I paid for. read more

Today I called Kathy at Nail box & explained to her that my nails had been lifting after 2 days & then breaking. I was having to super glue them. As well as the guy who did them didn't fill them all the way down to the cuticle. She said yes it's within the week we will fix it free of charge & to come in at 6:00 tonight. She also asked me to send her pictures of my nails to her business Facebook Nail Box & I did. I get there & there's a discrepancy & she agrees to fix the one nail which was ridiculous. However I'm going to take what I can get as far as any repairs. She also called me a liar saying it was over a week. As she calls everybody else a liar who has had the same issues with their nails & who has left a bad review. I didn't want to leave a bad review without talking to the her & giving her the chance rectify it. Which she said she would do & told me to come in at 6:00 but upon getting there she changed her tune. So she fixes the one nail & I ask her for her license number & she doesn't give it to me which is fine. Then prior to me leaving I stand up to take a picture of the licenses on the wall as to file a complaint & she says I cannot do that & PHYSICALLY pushes me back. I filmed her trying to swat away & in the front of the licenses in hopes to not allow me to get a clear picture/video. Those are there to show their credentials & there should be ABSOLUTELY no issue with her being concerned with me taking a picture if there's nothing to hide nor doing anything wrong. After she pushed me I immediately walked out after recording her behavior & called the Lake Delton Police Department & told them what happened. Before the police arrived she threatened to call her husband who I believe volunteers for the Lake Delton Fire Department. She said something of the nature about having my face or name in the paper. She wasn't exactly clear in her threats. I didn't know if he would also show up & I was alone until the officers arrived so then I was concerned with him coming there & then I felt unsafe. They didn't arrest her but spoke to her. I have called the Lake Delton Police Department Sergeant & he will be looking into the incident further & getting back to me. I hope something further is done because if I were to push her in her establishment I would of without a doubt been arrested. Waiting to hear back from the Sergeant. I'd give zero stars if I could. I had been here in the past for a pedicure and a dip manicure, but it had been awhile. Now I can remember why I had not gone back. The gentleman that did my dip manicure this time was rude and was clearly upset by the way I had my hand positioned, since he felt the need to grab my arm and position it for me. My nails were cut way too short and the technician was so sloppy with the water that he got my shoes and my daughters shoes wet during the process. He also left nail polish on my skin surrounding my nails (I received a gel pedicure). He dropped the pumice stone on the ground and proceeded to pick it up and continue to scrub my foot. He used a dry towel to rub off the lotion that was dried on my leg. When I brought up my concerns to the owner, she upset with me and didn't even apologize, she just became defensive. She admitted that he was still training, but then tried to justify it when we told her that he shouldn't be training on paying customers. read more

Find another place. We wanted our nails done while we vacationed and thought having a fun design would be nice. 1. There is no care when prepping the nails. A dremil drill is used to slice your dry cuticles down to the skin. Think inflamed, painful, infected cuticles the day after. 2. There is no clean up post dip. There is polish/dip on the sides of my nails, on the pads of my fingers, and my nail is glued to my skin. 3. There is no shaping of the nail. If you go in with unshaped nails, you leave with unshaped nails. 4. A 10 second watered down lotion rub followed by a dirty warming towel followed by a paper towel to remove the wetness. 5. Your nails will not look like the Pinterest photo. Not even close. Hope you have medical insurance because you can expect a trip to the doctor for antibiotics to heal your cuticles. This place is mediocre at best. Came in for a pedicure and gel manicure with my daughter. My pedicure was overpriced and rushed when I was supposed to have an extra massage. My daughters toe nail polish was so sloppy it looked like a 2nd grader did it so I made them redo it. My gel manicure has bubbles and I can see that it won't last more than a week. My daughter likes to stop by here after her work shift. She has always had a good experience but her most recent experience was by far the best. She researched a pattern she wanted for her manicure and the technician NAILED IT. My daughter couldn't stop looking at her nails and gushing about how well it was done (and she gets her nails done routinely). She is going back today for fills.
