I went back the following morning to speak to the owner, that in itself was an even worse idea. The owner greeted me with anger and hostility, I was barely even able to speak. He screamed at me told me to "shut the f*** up." I called my boyfriend inside cause I was honestly scared he was going to assault me. When my boyfriend stepped inside he proceeded to tell him that "he was a handler and for us to " get the f*** out my store, get your girl out of here." I was so scared that I looked at the owner and asked if he was okay, because theres no way a normal human would act like this. During the screams yells and cursing he was shaking so hard to the point that I thought he was going to hit me or spontaneously combust. I can't even believe this company is still in business. Before the appointment: Amber handled our booking personally, making sure we reserved plenty of time because my daughter is only 3. Her reassuring communication and professionalism put me at ease right away. First visit: When we arrived, Amber greeted my daughter patiently and spoke to her directly, making sure she felt comfortable and understood what would happen. During the initial exam, Amber noticed an eczema flare on my daughter's ears and explained (in kid-friendly language) why waiting for the skin to heal would give us the best outcome. She recommended postponing and immediately helped us reschedule for October 1. (Even had some incredible recommendations that made a huge difference in her recovery) Then the late-September Helene hit. Obviously our whole area lost water and power. Even in the middle of dealing with severe damage to her own home, Amber spent her free hours at a local relief center, providing meals and helping neighbors find housing. We actually ran into her and her son there volunteering! Her compassion is real and unconditional. Months later, once life settled down, we re-booked. I didn't think our experience could get any better, but Amber surpassed every expectation. She walked my daughter through each step in simple terms, checked for consent at every moment, and never rushed. The patience and genuine care she showed were priceless. The piercings are perfectly placed, healing beautifully, and (most important) my daughter left proud, calm, and smiling. Not a single tear shed! On the day of the appointment Ariel said she'd be running late (while I was on my way to the appointment), she said to just go in and fill out the paperwork. I got there, the store was locked up with no one inside and she showed up 20+ minutes late. She then told me she was the only one in the store that day, so she lied about someone being able to help me? I explained what happened with my piercing and I picked out different jewelry, their gold selection isn't as big as I'd hoped. And before she could take me back a walk in came in and she started taking them even though she was running behind on our appointment. Then the person wasn't actually interested after speaking with Ariel so now at this point I was getting pierced 40 minutes late. When I went back to get the jewelry replaced in she couldn't find the backing of my conch piercing (I've had two piercers replace the jewelry in it for me no problem) and blamed the previous piercer then told me to come back in 30 days when it's fully closed. A few days later I contacted the business through email, instagram, and phone trying to keep my deposit but instead make an appointment with Amber since I'd heard good things. On instagram I got an automatic reply about making appointments, no one ever responded to my email, and I got a call back from Ariel at the shop who said Amber wouldn't be able to pierce me because they broke their collarbone. I then asked for my deposit back since I didn't receive any service and couldn't instead rebook with Amber and Ariel said that wasn't possible to give me a full refund. I don't plan to go here again but I definitely warn others who do that this might be your experience or something as bad.
