It's an older shop, but the older man who works behind the counter was nice. I was looking for a water piece and they had really cheap prices. Like pretty darn cheap... I did see a ROOR for like $300. Anyway, small water pieces for like $10-$20. However, most of them were broken or had a chip/crack in it. Pretty cheap pipes - like $10 or less. I ended up passing because I wasn't so fond about them. The owner didn't try to pass it off like they weren't broken either. Things looked a little dusty but nothing a little bit of cleansing couldn't do. Ended up dipping because it was Sunday and mostly everything was closed and there were a bunch of sketchters coming in that tripped us out. So, maybe they will get some better stuff? This guy knows absolutely nothing about vapes. The 1st experience was bad enough but not so bad that I felt the need to write a review. I just figured this sweet old man was trying his hardest to provide a service. Then 3 weeks later I returned for replacement coils for the Jomo Tech vape I bought from him on the first visit. He had NONE. Will have to order them. Will be in next week. Ok fair enough. Can i get one of those from the other vape pens you have in the meantime cuz mine is totally burnt out. NOPE. Ok. Well Geez. I guess I'll BUY one more vape pen and just use the coil from it. $49.00 please (that's $10 more then the first one I bought but there's a line behind me so, ok.) Ok now don't forget to order the replacement coils. And lots of em! A week later I decided to look online to see if I could order my own coils because for some reason I just didn't have faith in this man's ability to perform. My online search basically resulted in a new suspicion that maybe this newly purchased vape was an old discontinued model because I couldn't find one store that still had the replacement coils in stock. A week after that (now 2 weeks from when the old man said he'd have the replacement coils) I returned and of course, he has nothing. The company doesn't return his emails. Ok. Fair enough. Buh bye. Bottom line, this is not the place to go if you're looking for a store that knows what they're doing enough to provide a semi decent service to the average vaper. Sorry. I came here to purchase my first vape kit and I am completely satisfied. The SA (can't remember her name SORRY) was very friendly and patient while I puffed away trying different juices. She was helpful when I told her what flavor I was looking for. I don't even like fruity flavors but ended up leaving with strawberry cooler (must try!). Just came went in to buy my very first vape kit. I loved the atmosphere you come in and everything is good about you don't feel uncomfortable at all. The two guys working there are very helpful learned stuff I didn't even know by researching on stuff. They have many different juices to pick from! They will also let you try them and try many mods :D which is much better than ordering something online that might not be for you. The prices are very reasonable and they will give you discounts left to right. Their isn't many shops in This side of DTLA so this is great there's a parking for customers in the rooftop of the building which was great. Came out of here ready to vape! Not only did they make me feel welcome they showed me all the various juices let me relax unwind and enjoy my lunch break. Knowledgably staff - The owner Gary and his manager Abe where super cool. They new their business hands down. I am what you can a novice vapor so I know a few things here and there but ask a ton of questions to learn more about the industry. They were patient with me, answered all my questions, and made a few recommendations to give me knowledge I was looking for in vaping. Selection - even though they are new and still expanding their product line they had a good selection of beginner ego e-cigs to advanced vape mods like Smok SID, even stuff I had never seen before like variable voltage mods and rebuildable custom mods . Pricing - always a factor, knowing that stuff online is cheaper you can't beat paying little extra for trying out stuff before you buy and getting helpful l tips on what to buy . In all I am I was extremely pleased and satisfied with this Vape shop, there are a lot of new ones opening up in LA and to find one you really like and feel comfortable shopping at is a very important. Downtown VAPE is a great place to get your vape on. I went in with my girlfriend to get her set up with a vape of her own and we were helped by Abe, who was EXTREMELY knowledgable about vaporizers and juice. He had a scientific mind and knew a lot about vape technology. As a fellow geek, I really respected that. He treated us like fellow vape geeks and not like a fancy pants salesman. He educated us about many things and was kind and joyous about vaping. We felt relaxed and welcome in the store as we made ourselves at home, sampling the juices and fiddling with clearomizers and what not. They seemed to have a good selection of hardware there too. I particularly liked these iSmoka tanks they have there, which I haven't yet seen around LA. Overall, it's a great little shop and I would definitely go back. read more

They offer from Ego starter kits for a great price ($35) and also custom starter kits to build your own vaporizer. There are mods that you can purchase separately as well! But it doesn't end there, the juices are great! The Vapetenders let you try the flavors at the spot. There are many different flavors to choose from, Fruity to Rainbow Skittles! You can also choose the nicotine level, for those either doing it for fun (choose no nicotine) and those quitting smoking. All the prices are extremely affordable for those who want to get into vaping. Start with the ego kit for $35, which comes with the basics (battery, atomizer, charger), and get one juice for $10 extra. This is the most affordable vape store I've ran into that offers such low prices! Usually other vape stores charge at least $45 to get basics, not including the juices or chargers. I went in recently hoping to catch him again but no luck and the person who helped me was super rude....not even so much rude but apathetic and didn't really seem to care about me or my questions. Very nice shop and friendly staff, however prices are just way too high. To be fair and honest the female staff member that helped me pick out a new tank for my provari was somewhat knowledgeable. However, she did not take the time to explain how to properly fill my NEW tank I purchased. It was leaking everywhere so I ended up tossing it away. Two older guys . Very rude & horrible service. I don't know if he had a stick up his ass but he didnt give us excellent service. He sold us a broken coil and same minute I tried it on it broke and denied that we even purchased the item there, and that he had never seen us.
