Then he did something completely unexpected... he offered to work out a plan to accommodate my needs during his off time since I was on a tight schedule. I was shocked. The owner contacted me later that day and we confirmed the plan. RRSS is an outstanding family owned business that puts the needs of the customer ahead of all else. I enthusiastically recommend them. I was initially "forced" to leave a good review, but now that it's been some time i need to share what happened. I left my stuff there over the summer, and when i collected my stuff I asked them if i needed to sign anything or do anything since i'd be ending my lease there. I was told no... that was a lie. I ended up getting charged another month of rent, and when i called they said i needed to sign some papers. Well i signed them but they told me i did it "too late" and would still need to pay another month of rent. However, they said if I agreed to leave a good review and a donation, they could help me get out of that rent. Low key felt like black mail, i still have the transcript of the voicemail they left me too. I did do it, but i'm a broke college student and couldn't afford another months rent. Which they still did end up charging me! Anyway, my roommates recommended i try and call someone or report it, i eventually got to the boss and most i got was an apology, no refund though... So, if all you're looking for is a safe place to store stuff and don't mind being scammed, by all means come here. maybe that was just one employee, but i personally won't be risking that again.

However after teaching it to multiple levels of employees for a "Texas based grocery company" for over 20 years, it is always a thrill to encounter those who do it so well. When a representative at one location completely dropped the ball and was incredibly rude and dismissive of me to an excessive degree, I posted that account here some time back. The owner responded quickly to my posted 1 star feedback with a sincere apology and a plan to salvage the relationship with me, his customer. His plan included a discounted rate for a period of time. When it was later discovered that I was still receiving the discount past the agreed upon period of time, as it was not updated in their system, the manager called me back w my new rate and start date... with NO MENTION of what it "should have been". Many managers can't help but elaborate in such situations, tooting their own horns and making the customer feel uncomfortable. Not here! Greg (not certain that was mgr's name) was professional, respectful, and even showed a bit of sense of humor. Nice job! There's no question of my choice of storage facilities for now and in the future. I rented my PENSKE truck from them and they worked to get me the absolutely best deal. I moved the small amount of stuff that I wasn't moving to DFW into a smaller storage unit that I kept until June of this year. Friday, I rented another PENSKE truck so that my parents could bring me the last of my furniture to Allen, they stayed late waiting on my dad to come get the truck on a Friday afternoon when we misunderstood the time we were supposed to pick it up. We had our $61 storage unit for exactly 3 months (3 billing cycles) before a letter arrived in the mail notifying us of a rate increase to $133. This is corporate using computer systems to jack up the rent and increase revenue as much as possible. If you call into the Waco office they won't lower your rent, they will try to sign you up to move everything into a new available unit for $10-$15 more per month than the lower internet price you first paid...and in 3 to 4 months you get the rate doubling notice again. You need to be VERY AWARE that this location absolutely will not stop playing this game. Only rent here for extremely short term storage or be prepared to pay double the rent every 4 months. (A guy confirmed rate increase letters are mailed every 3 to 4 months, automatically sent by computer systems at corporate! You cannot escape it!) Renter be very aware! This is not a student-living-on-a-budget friendly place. This place is designed to take advantage of parents of college students with money.
