We were frequently locked out of our unit and told that it automatically locked for a portion of each day. Also, one of our units was in a walled off portion of the building with no working AC, in August, in Texas. The owner would not return calls or work with us to make the situation right.

We needed a Uhaul to move from Waco to Flower Mound and chose Ritchie Road Self Storage randomly…read more(since it was on our way to the library). I was greeted by a courteous young man who I later learned to be the owner's son. He set me up with exactly the service I needed, and he offered a few perks without me even asking. Then he did something completely unexpected... he offered to work out a plan to accommodate my needs during his off time since I was on a tight schedule. I was shocked. The owner contacted me later that day and we confirmed the plan. RRSS is an outstanding family owned business that puts the needs of the customer ahead of all else. I enthusiastically recommend them. I haven't used their storage offerings, but the facility is neat, clean and modern. If my own Mother needed uhaul or storage services, I would tell her to call RRSS.

Aaron's Self Storage has been terrific to work with the people (Steve) and the facilities are top…read morenotch. First, the site manager Steve has been a blessing to work with. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and amenable. He helped make the reservations (I was calling in from out of state so renting sight unseen) and it went without a hitch. Also, upon my delivery date, I found I needed an additional storage unit and Steve arranged it on the spot. And I have worked with Steve a couple of times since I stored my stuff and he has been a real pleasure. The facilities are inside a large warehouse, so are climate controlled. The building is clean and very well maintained. It has sufficient space to navigate. And it is very secure. All entrances are gated and monitored and accessed by individualized key codes to be able to track who entered. There are cameras all over the place and recordings will help determine if there was unauthorized access. They have several dollies and wheeled vehicles available to enable your move. The only surprise was that my unit(s) are on the second floor, I had no idea storage units could be on the second floor. This helps keep my property even more secure, but it added a level of complexity to get the furniture out of the moving truck, into the elevator, out of the elevator and then into the storage unit. However, it all went well I highly recommend Aaron's Self Storage.

Negative stars for this place…read more They started the year off by increasing their prices by 60% (units aren't temp controlled & little overhead) - here is what they do: 1. The company does not cover your items in case of theft or damage 2. You, as the renter, are responsible for either using your homeowner's insurance or purchasing costly insurance 3. They are famous for calling renters horrible names You pay $160 to store personal items that are not guaranteed. If they have an employee that decides to steal your stuff - you are responsible, not them. GO ELSEWHERE!

The store is designed to make it easy to see where to line up; however, the way it ropes off, it blocks customers from the copiers. That doesn't make sense. Hopefully this is fixed soon. The store is in a shopping center, so parking was very easy.

I always use this location with no issues, but today was different. I wanted to mail off something…read morewith post cards inside a bigger envelope and have a smaller envelope inside as well ready for a return already paid for. The attendant helping me out wanted to weigh the bigger envelope without all the contents that would be inside of it, to which I told her if it's a weighted item, everything that's going inside the larger envelope should be weighed. After going back and forth for much longer than needed to about what should be done, she decides to do as I was asking (despite her attitude written all over her face). She mentioned it would be a bigger charge and to which I am fine with because on the way to the original destination, everything should be weighed for accuracy, but the smaller envelope should be weighed separately with the contents that will be returning to me. As I was leaving the store, before I could even step outside the building, I heard the other staff (Brooke) say, "you were right." With other customers still in line, we're is the decorum? Anyway, this staff needs to be trained to not talk about customers in front of current customers.
