Kyle, the sales person I was dealing with is fantastic. He has a great attitude, very knowledgeable and extremely responsive. Kyle got my trailer all taken care of on the business end and then turned me over to the service department to complete the work. Everyone in the service department is top notch. This has been the only boat repair service that I've ever left happy. All of the guys in the service department are very helpful and friendly, which I am not used to when dealing with boat people. They gave me a tour of their entire facility which is new, indoors and quite large. All of their repairs seem to happen in a large, clean and fully stocked Costco sized warehouse. They even have a fiberglass shop and paint booth. This place is fully stocked with Outboards, general boat gear and everything you could possibly need. It's extremely clean and well organized. Like anywhere else that's top notch, you might pay just a little more but it's definitely worth it. Worth it enough that I was inclined to write this review over a boat trailer. If you want a quality product with quality service to back it up, these guys are definitely who you want to go to. Also, they also included a complimentary torque wrench to keep the wheels properly torqued. They'll show you how to use it if you don't know how.

Cannot believe I am leaving a SECOND bad review on this place, I went in the other day to pick up…read morean online order because I was so tired of driving over and being let down by how under stocked they are, first thing I noticed was the cashier Lin had a very long line and was just standing there arguing with a customer who had a question about hardware, she ended up sending him to the dollar tree next door for some reason??? After that happened she looked at me and said with a very nasty attitude "what? Can I help you? What do you want" and I told her i was there for an online order and she looked at me and rolled her eyes, she then looked at the rack they have for maybe 2 seconds and threw her hands up and said "well its not here so I don't know what you want me to do about it" I then gave her my name again and my order number and she scoffed and called over the walkie for it, mike had came over to me after about 2 minutes of waiting and asked if i needed any help or had any questions which was very very nice of him and I said I needed help with an online order, he then checked all the cubbies and even the slips they have on the side and after a bit he said he was not able to find it however he will ask someone to get the item for me, after a few more minutes a lady named Shary handed me my item and with a similar nasty attitude to Lin's she said "is there anything else I can help you with or are you all good?" And before I could even speak she just walked away. It is very upsetting how disrespectful Lin and Shery were, Mike is an A+ employee along with Alex, Mariah and Kimberly. They are the only respectful employees who make shopping there enjoyable unlike everyone else.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! Ive…read moreactually really wanted to write a positive review and held off since July 2025 to allow Boat Specialist to resolve all the issues Ive had with them. But today, after 6 months I'm at the end of my patience and since some of you are praising James Doer, then some of you know who manages the Service Department. I bought a brand new 2025 Ranger Tug R23 or at least I thought I did, but since there was crap in the holding tank when I received it, Im starting to think it was used. I paid for a Radar to be installed before it was delivered. When the boat was delivered to me in the Marina, immediately I discovered the radar I paid to have installed did not work. The water pump didn't work. I got 1 key when it should be 2. The holding tank had crap in it. The solar system charger didn't work. The outboard motor sat in the water in full lift and there was no bottom paint to protect it even when I paid for bottom paint to be applied to the boat. The excuse for that was the Buyer needed to ask for it...How would a Bulyer know the outboard motor wouldnt come out the water fully? The Service Dept agreed to trailer the boat back to fix the Radar and fix the water pump and all issues Ive identified and advised it can be done when the boat comes back in for the 20 hr breaking in service, which I agreed would be a good time. When it finally was picked up for service and returned 1 month later, the boat was returned but did not have the bottom paint on the outboard that I had agreed to pay additionally for. Before the boat was taken off their trailer, I spoke to James Doer who promised he would trailer it back to do the bottom paint as it should had been done before it was returned to me. So again he advised I can use my boat and then later he'll work out a time to trailer it back to finish the bottom paint that they had forgotten to have done. Few weeks later, Boat Specialist trailers my boat back to their shop to do the bottom paint on the motor and I also paid to have some service done on my Bow Thrusters and Windless Anchor... 3 weeks later my boat was returned from BS and put back into the water and as their delivery guy pushed us off from the dock, we discovered the Bow Thruster didnt work! It was supposed to be fixed, but again BS does NOT verify that repairs were actually completed. Again James Doer said he'll send a tech out in a few weeks to repair it. Yet again, I've been patient with Boat Specialist. I waited for the tech to come out and they did repair the Bow Thruster several weeks later. Just as I thought every issue had been resolved, there's more. What's the problem now? I just learned the 20 hr break-in service that was supposed to have been done the first time Boat Specialist trailered my boat back to fix the Radar and other issues was never done! My boat is at its 50 hr service alert and I now discovered Boat Specialist never did the 20 hr break-in. Is it fair from the multiple instances where this Service Department failed to complete work that they were suppose to do for me to say that the people managing it has FAILED and do not give a rip for our boats in their shop? I have asked that Boat Specialist do the right thing, but as he claimed that theres no written record that I asked for the 20 hr service to be done, he has decided to not recall that we spoke on the phone that I wanted the 20 hr break-in service...today he just conveniently forgot that request was made because he forgot to have it done months ago and returned my boat anyways. If the Service Department's performance is any measure of how Boat Specialist ensures their product is quality and their service is aimed to satisfy customers, then they have failed at least me... If I am that one unlucky person to have the WORST experience dealing with them... I whole heartedly hope you will not be the next. Or perhaps I am one of many... BUYER BEWARE!!!! GOOD LUCK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Dont let the charm and smiles fool you.

I was inadvertently sent the wrong pump and reached out to them to get it resolved. With no questions asked, Sean was kind and gracious enough to replace the incorrect pump I received with a new one - which was far better than the one I ordered. That was something he did not have to do, but I was really thankful and grateful that he'd do that for me. My second, and more recent, purchase was last week, when I purchased another fuel pump from their store in Ventura. Once again, Sean was an absolute pleasure to talk to and he provided me with a truly stellar deal on my new pump [because the one I'd received from him earlier in the year had suffered a malfunction]. I even e-mailed him, after I got home later that day, to thank him for the deal he gave me and for his kind attitude. Despite the slight mixup with the first pump and the malfunction of the second, I think the guys at Quantum are truly amazing people. They stand by their products and are willing to go the extra mile to meet the needs of their customers, and I genuinely appreciate that. And being that they're a small business in a city that so many of us love, I think that we should all try to support their efforts at providing affordable car parts to the people of our community. On Amazon, car enthusiast sites, and online message boards, lots of people say that the quality of their products is second to none - but if you ever have the pleasure to deal with them personally, you'll see that their reputation is well earned.

First day I took this ferry out from Ventura Harbor to the Santa Cruz Island and it was about 90 minutes and we got to see plenty of dolphins and whales. And if wildlife is spotted, they make it a point to stop so we can watch the animals up close! Note that day trippers and campers are all packed onto this ferry. Second day, I took the ferry from Ventura Harbor to Santa Rosa Island and the ride out was 3 hours, so plan for that. Again, we saw quite a lot of wildlife. We also on the way back, got a really nice look at the Painted Cave. Third day, I took the ferry from Oxnard Harbor to Anacapa Island and it was about an hour. This was a much smaller ferry, limited selection in their galley. Again, saw plenty of wildlife and got a nice video of a humpback whale. All 3 experiences were excellent and would use them again. Note that ferry ticket isn't cheap, so plan for that. Also not the different harbors that have ferries out, lots of options. I would definitely use them again next time I return!
