After exploring several construction and restoration companies, we decided to go with Baxter Construction given their reputation for top notch, project management and a wide range of expertise in many of the skill sets we would require. We were very impressed with their project management from beginning to end of what turned out to become a 6 month project. In working with Baxter, we were additionally comforted by the dedicated staff carpenters that had been with the company for many years. As the weeks and months progressed, Baxter were able to diagnose problems and perform remediations responsibly. We were kept up to date with frequent progress reports from the project manager, and grew to admire the carpenters who explained the details to us along the way. Given the need for carpentry, roofing and painting, Baxter was able to coordinate the process efficiently. The project included painting the entire outside of my house, replacing rotting wood, installing or repairing four windows, and some electrical work. I was looking for a contractor with the staff to handle all of these functions. Not easy to find. The results were outstanding, and frankly, better than I expected. Here are the highlights: Excellent staff, neat, clean, reliable, and hard-working. Management: Outstanding, professional oversight by management. All work was written in a contract. As needed, the contract was amended as we went along. Communication. This was extremely important to me. My communications with the owner and his on-site worker/supervisor and the administrator, were unique in that we all were always on the same page. To sum up. Bryan will be my 'go-to' contractor as I have future project needs, big or small.

We had Bryan's Handyman service come out and do some work around our house to prepare for my mom…read moremoving in with us. They sent a two man crew, Ruben and Luis, who did a wonderful job. They prepped and painted two rooms, including the baseboards, trim and ceiling. They replaced and painted a set of closet doors and replaced the rickety attic stairs. They also fix the bedroom door where it is now fully functional. The work took two days, but they transformed the two bedrooms. The crew was polite and professional. They worked quickly, quietly and with skill. I could not have asked for better. Mr. Grubb was very responsive to emails and quick to address all our concerns. Thank you for the good work.

Maurice was the only contractor who was very responsive and came by to give us an estimate. His pricing was very competitive but his customer service was incredible. Maurice and his crew went above and beyond to complete the roofing in one day on our 2,400 sq foot home and worked on a Sunday to complete the chimney leak issue to avoid further damage to our interior wall. Maurice contacted us prior to each visit, explained his work thoroughly, and took such pride and passion in his work. We will refer his company to everyone and we will be using him for all of our homes needs/repairs, from decking, painting, renovations, etc. He is the company you can trust and feel confident that he will go above and beyond to make everything be perfect. From the first meeting, Bill took time to learn about us, our needs and our aesthetic. He worked with us to create a gorgeous and functional space, and was sensitive to our budget and timeline. I am an avid home cook and baker and love to entertain. He designed a long counter space which invited guests to sit with me while I cooked and prepped, but kept everyone out from underfoot! The first time I had people over, and was holding court alone in my kitchen with everyone hanging on the other side of the counter... it was a beautiful thing. He even incorporated shelves into the design to display my collection of cookbooks and cooking antiques. The kitchen is the star feature of my living space. We also had the pleasure of working with Jason. He is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. All of the vendors Bill recommended were excellent. They did quality work and were extremely professional. We moved into our house at the end of 2016, and I have been cooking and baking up a storm ever since. I never want to leave this kitchen behind, but if I have to, you can bet I will be calling Spyglass Design to build the next one.
