I asked that it be covered during cleaning but not removed. When I picked the dress up I saw that the pin had been removed and sloppily resown. Threads and stitches were visible and the pin was exposed on the inside, which was not the case when I brought it in. I was told that they did the best they could and she did not know why I had a problem with it.
