Two weekends ago, I ordered and was charged for a regular and received the amount of fries I have previously received with a little. I was shocked at first but then logged in online to see this was also the experience of others since the transition to the new container. This isn't such a big deal if these are moderately priced fries but this "regular" portion of fries is $7.59. That is similar to a basket of fries at a restaurant and I expect a similar portion, which is what the portion was under the cup system. Five Guys isn't cheap but it always felt like the quality of the food and the portion justified the price. That just isn't the case anymore. I used to go to Five Guys a couple of times a month and grab dinner for me and my friend but we haven't been back since, and likely won't.

Recently I found out about this location in Macon which is close to a hour drive from where I live but happy to have it as a option while traveling through the area. It was a Sunday evening around 6pm when my husband and came to this location. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly staff. The restaurant was not extremely busy but there was a short line. This location is much larger and nicer than several locations that I have been to. The tables were all clean, everything was in order. We both ordered salads. It was obvious that there was some training going on because the young lady that started my order failed to add the lettuce first, as soon as what seemed to be her manager realized I ordered a salad she started the order over herself. They had everything in stock including the fajitas veggies and salad dressing. I should have not been surprised but this is the first time in months that I have been able to get everything on my Veggie salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and both of our salads were delicious. We had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back. I now have a renewed confidence in this chain. Hopefully the Warner Robbins location will be able to turn things around so I can start going back there since it is closer to home.
