I love Johnnys Pizza. I've been to more locations than I can count and I know the owners. The wait staff at this location are great and attentive. The inside is nice and clean with a great ambiance Unfortunately the food at this location is sub par. Inconsistent pizza. Sometimes the crust is rubbery and undercooked or not kneaded enough and has thick spots. Sometimes it's overcooked and inedible. The pizza tastes over seasoned, it's tough to explain but too garlicky or something. The sandwiches, and I think Johnnys sandwiches are the best, are lacking the same amount of meat that I get at other locations. Maybe it's inflation but when I get a turkey sandwich I want a hunk of meat not just bread and veggies and minimal protein. If the food was better this would be my go to spot but instead i usually just go to Moe's next door (which is one of the best Moe's that I've been to). read more

It's a small joint, if you think it's a busy time for a pizza dinner, you're right, and it'll probably be packed. If you're lucky, squeeze in, they'll still be lovely in accommodating you the best they can. Very friendly staff. NY style pizza, delicious ingredients, spices DIY on the table, good draft selection, fair enough wine selection, and other beverages to your liking. Clean nice pizza restaurant. My husband had a lunch special sub. He enjoyed it and really loved the roll. I had the calzone as a lunch special. It was stuffed with lots of cheese and sliced sausage. Ordered one evening for delivery. For the price, the pizzas were on the smaller size. $50+ for 2 medium pizzas is a little steep. Pizza arrived warm, but was overcooked. The bottom and crust were really hard, and there was no "flop" reminiscent of a NY slice. The taste was just okay overall. For the price, I wouldn't order from this place again. I'm 90% vegetarian so pizza is always on my menu at least once monthly, and this is my favorite in Macon. Asked for our pizza well done. Confirmed with the person taking our order that we would get it cooked through. Pizza came out underdone. We had to put the pizza back in the oven when we got home. I called just a few hours before our group of 15 descended on them and asked if they could accommodate us. While they do not accept reservations they did make arrangements by putting enough tables together so we could enjoy each other's company. Jasmine was an awesome server! I tried to post a review of this restaurant about 3 weeks ago and it was taken down stating it appeared I did not go to the store. I would guess the store called or emailed Yelp and requested it be taken down I am going to leave a more specific review so that does not happen again. I ordered a meal for 2 people using their online ordering system. Doordash brought part of the order but they did not send one entree. I called Johnny's and spoke to an employee who said they would issue me a credit. When he transfered me to the manager, he said they would not issue me a credit, it was Doordash's fault. Doordash refused to issue a credit also. Someone from their marketing department emailed me and said I would hear from the store but I have not. So, they took about $11.00 from me. I have been to the restaurant in person as well. This incident involved their delivery service and management's lack of service. read more
