We ordered 2 blizzards and the staff person went to promptly make them. I noticed that mine looked a little runny and she didn't turn flip them over to show they were the right consistency. When I got to the car, I decided I wanted to go back as it was too runny but there was a line of about 3 people so I didn't bother. Based on this, I'm giving it 2 stars. The service was friendly though so I would go back if I was in the area and ensure the blizzard passed the upside down test. This Dairy Queen is in a strip mall and parking can get busy with the other businesses. The evening we were there they seemed to be some shady activity outside of the store when we were leaving. May not be the best location to be walking to in the evening.

My son and I just looked at each other and didn't respond. (My husband is very hard of hearing and luckily he couldn't hear this guy! He said something to the Manager/Owner and they looked at my husband and laughed. (They didn't say it in English.) Later I went to order our deserts and he was very disdainful towards me - even though I was friendly. Then I was teasing my husband because he was being impatient at the table. I wanted to surprise him with a Banana Split. When the treats were ready...this man said to me..."Is your baby crying?". HOW DARE YOU insult my husband! How DARE you assume he isn't a man because I order for him and I help him! How DARE you insult a happy couple who enjoy life!! We are done with this restaurant. You do not have the right to blatantly insult my husband and get away with it! And the restaurant (tables, floors, bathroom have usually been as clean as possible and when they were not, I have asked for a table to be cleaned and the staff get right onto it and clean my table and the others that need it - these employees are not lazy like some of the other DQ's in the city - the owner here obviously takes pride in their establishment and it shows!). I prefer to patronize a facility where the employees are nice and professional and oddly enough you really get that here -- a fast food joint! By far the best DQ in Edmonton, if not Alberta!

The service here is rather slow, but I have experienced this at almost every Dairy Queen I've been to. This place gets packed in the summer, especially on a hot day. Sometimes it can be a 20-30 min wait just to get an ice cream. I'm not that patient, so instead I'll get something on a stick from the 7-11 next door. I don't come here that often, because it's expensive. It's best to come while they are having some kind of a deal. For some reason, this location continues to offer this deal: two single cheeseburgers for $3.99 & two double cheeseburgers for $5.99. The other locations only have it off and on, which is really annoying. I've gotten many ice cream cakes here, and they are always well made and so amazingly good, especially the fudge and cookie crunch in the middle. I've special ordered a couple of cakes here too, and they've done a very good job on the lettering and design each time. All the ice cream stuff on the menu is good too. I love Oreo Blizards and Moolattes. But honestly, McDonald's ice cream is almost just as good and is way cheaper.

The service is slow at times. Have to check your orders, ask for ketchup etc otherwise you might not get it. Also I don't get why on the odd drive thru were asked to move ahead out of the way and they'll bring out food to us when it's ready. It's a bit odd especially when there's no one behind us. I was completely overwhelmed by the choices and options while my brain wad still worried about my kitty. Jacob, at the till, was exceptionally patient & helpful. The prices are still a bit high in comparison to portion size for both kid and adult meals. That being said - everything came exactly as ordered to our table. They have a modern pop machine where you can add your own flavor shots to Pepsi products though I'm more of a water girl when knowing that ice cream is soon to follow. The hubs and I shared a medium blizzard and it came to the table presented upside down and had lots of toppings. That's certainly not something I can say about my local St. A Dairy Queen.
