A recent sports injury left me near cripple before my recent visit to Dr Custer. My lower back pain made it impossible to do the simplest of things like turn over in bed, put my pants on without having to sit down, or get up from a seated position without having to use my arms to pry myself from the chair. I spoke to my family doctor and they just prescribed ibuprofen and told me to have blood draw after which doing so the results were "standard" I also tried the local chiropractor which resulted in a very minimum improvement. I've been to several different acupuncturists over the past 20 years and Dr. Custer is one of the best I've ever seen. She's a great listener and very knowledgeable. She had some excellent suggestions about diet changes I could make to help control my blood sugar levels and better manage my stress and anxiety. Few weeks back I pinched a nerve in my neck after lifting a heavy object for a client. After I've tried chiropractic Western medicine I had about 50% relief but I still had a left hand that was three fingers were numb especially the index finger and my thumb and weakness in my wrist so I wasn't completely out of the woods. I was referred to Dr. Barbara Custer to buy a customer who used her quite often said she was the Best called her made an appointment and then I got a return call and I want to see her yesterday which is Saturday the 18th I believe. After consulting with me to understand my issues she began acupuncture same day but what she did differently as she added electrodes to acupuncture needles and then cupping. The results are amazing after one treatment I have use of my index finger and it feels much better not as numb like before my finger feeling is to normal.
