I have been seeing Dr. Gutsmann since they opened in Allen and highly recommend her! She has been seeing me, my husband and my adult children for years. She listens intently to what you have to say and is very thorough. The whole staff is always pleasant and friendly. No matter the time of day I have an appointment scheduled for they are very punctual and the wait time (if any) is always reasonable. I never feel rushed or unheard! I love that they offer extended hours and even offer video visits which has come in handy multiple times. read more

Dr. Gutsmann has been my doctor for ten years. She is an excellent physician, really listens to you and does not rush the appointment. She really cares. Frank is amazing too - always there to help with the appointment, scheduling, signing in and assisting in any way he can. I have my bloodwork done in the office too and that is quick and easy - he is very efficient and painless. All of the staff I have met have been considerate and know what they are doing. The offices are very clean and neat. I like to arrive a little early for my appointment and occasionally wait 5-10 minutes to get in, most of it due to my earliness. I have no complaints. Great name for this practice, they all do care! So glad I found them, I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Dr. Guttsman is AMAZING! She truly listens to how you feel and she understands that every body is different and medication affects everyone differently. She works with you to not only address your symptoms, but to try to get to the root of your issue. I've been to many doctors and she is the first doctor in the last decade that truly listens to what I'm feeling and understands the need to adjust medication and try different things because everyone is different. This is huge as a lot of doctors say oh that's not a side effect or oh that's not supposed to happen, and they dismiss you. I love that she truly cares about how her patients feel and she exudes patience! She takes ample time with you and she doesn't make you feel like a number. Her staff is also amazing, Frank is phenomenal. He is a keeper for sure. I can easily text Frank for refills or medications questions or for appointments and he quickly responds! I have been seeing Dr Astrid Gutsmann for years. I am a diabetic and her knowledge of diabetes is very impressive. She takes the time to discuss my blood work and I feel I have time to ask all my questions. Her entire staff from the gentleman who draws my blood down to her front desk guy and everyone in between make you feel like you matter. That is really important these days. Highly recommended. Don't waste your time and money here. I've had two issues that they just ignore. No resolution...one I've been dealing with for over 8 months..the other 4 months. I get an x-ray and have to call weeks later to find out any results. Takes them four days to tell me call an orthopedic. The payment for the first x-rays is wasted. They didn't even forward them Soo now I'm at an orthopedic office and getting it resolved today. read more

I have called twice to schedule an appointment. Yesterday the girl answered and then started talking to another employee explaining how the doctor was an hour behind. I hung up. Because I am very interested in seeing this doctor,I called again today and they answered with "hold please". I made an appointment to get a COVID test online. It was confirmed by e-mail for 10:00 AM. I was told to stay in my car when I arrived. After 30 min of waiting I walked into the door and was rudely told twice "Wait in your car" by an extremely rude receptionist. When I walked through the door I was not ready for how filthy the entire waiting room was... DISGUSTING. I sat in the parking lot another 15 minutes waiting - while I made another appointment at CVS... AVOID THIS HOUSE OF HORRORS!!!!! read more

This office is fantastic but understaffed and it shows. The MAs are amazing and go out of the way to help even when I know they are so busy. Debbie and Ginger have been a blessing and are so nice. The lady that got my moms referrals done, thank you!! The guy at the desk, You rock! If you need a great doctor that deals with hormone therapy Dr Gutsman is awesome. The staff listened to my concerns and ran the tests I requested. They are interested in getting to the bottom of my health concerns. The office staff is the worst I have ever encounter in a doctors office. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone. I've waited over 2 weeks now to get a copy of my blood work. I've waited on the phone over 30 minutes to even talk to anyone. I've waited in the doctors waiting room over an hour to see the doctor. Do not go here. read more

Rude, condescending, mocking and Very un-educated support staff; Med tech was horrendously unprofessional from first vitals to end of appointment. Med tech was untrained and physically assaulted my arm after an injection instead of putting bandage immediately to protect injection site from germs, she used two fingers to aggressively rub injection site PRIOR to bandage without warning or explanation. Ridiculous violation of personal body. Made report, too bad because NP Amanda is AWESOME. read more

Here is the problem with this office, it's not the physician or the back or the office team, it's the front of the office. They are apathetic and slow. When you call for things that are necessities for a patient, they get an attitude and blame the back of the office, however I'll say that when I'm behind the door and into the area where you get care, it's very thorough. read more

Dr Gutsmann is great! This review is not a reflection of my experience with her, but rather the rest of the staff. Having to call numerous times to have results emailed, and speaking with a new person every time is extremely frustrating (I still don't have the results). Be sure to check what they are charging you also. A physical with no blood work last year....was charged over $600. This year, with blood work....$280?? I'm going to have to look into the charges from last year. The nurse asked me if I was still taking cipro on a daily basis??? What the heck. Surely as a nurse you should know that Cipro is an antibiotic, and in the chart it stated they prescribed it in 2017. No mam, I have not been taking an antibiotic everyday for the last year. The lack of medical knowledge is actually quite scary. I can safely say that I will never be booking another appointment there. read more

Be careful what's being charge, they charge me $145 to PICK UP my blood work result that SHE COULD HAVE EASILY JUST GONE OVER THE PHONE. I get my kids check with another provider and have never been charge to get results of blood work. They are STEALING. Definitely will be looking for another doctor. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This staff is T E R R I B L E!! My mom has been going here seeing the doctor- however the nurses, don't know how to draw blood to save their lives- my mom is bruised every single time we go in there, and she has the easiest veins ever! They try and charge you a specialist copay, and in no way are they a specialist! We are transferring out of there and seeing an actual doctor, in an actual office, with better nurses and staff! I called today about a blood pressure medicine recall and the lady that answered (Amy) i believe, laughed at me and said "let the fun begin" meaning it's funny to her that all of the patients who are on blood pressure and heart medication are going to start calling in. Well of course?! I'm not sure why they would think no one would be concerned with a prescription recall! This place is so unprofessional, uncaring, and just terrible overall! I really liked Dr. Gutsmann as a doctor. She was generally very thorough and informative. However, I stopped going to her after I had a more significant health issue. She must take on too many patients or just hires staff that cannot handle their responsibilities. The time I spent waiting and the miscommunication amongst staff made diagnosing, treating, and then following up extremely difficult during an already stressful health-related time. I ended up having to seek out my own oncologist to get my true issues addressed. I had let this go until I recently needed to get a hold of my records from 2014 in order to receive follow up care that is essential to my health. My new doctor's office has been trying to get these records from Dr. Careing since April 2018 and was told this month (six months later) that my records are no longer in the system. They had my name and birthday, but none of my medical care records. When my current doctor then reached out to the Texas Immunizatoin Registry to try and obtain this information, they also were never given records of my immunizations. This means that potentially life preserving information is completely unavailable, leaving my current doctor unsure on how to treat. While on the phone with Dr. Careing myself today, trying to get to the bottom of my missing files, the Dr. Careing representative hung up on me. To say I'm upset and concerned is an extreme understandment as this could quite literally be the difference between me living a healthy and full life and me developing a life threatening illness if exposed to the wrong thing. I will never recommend Dr. Careing to any one. I honestly fear for those who have similar or worse conditions who may also be missing their records or are not getting the correct information that they need. read more

Dr. Gutsmann is a wonderful, caring, and devoted physician. I absolutely adore her. Unfortunately, the practice itself is a nightmare. Anyone who tells you otherwise is being untruthful and biased. Myself and those I've referred to Dr CAREing experienced, on a consistent basis, unreasonable wait times, poor follow up, high employee turnover, and complete disorganization, even with their new digital recordkeeping. I went to Dr CAREing for many years, despite a poorly run business. I liked Dr. Gutsmann so much that when I moved to another city, I commuted 45 minutes to see her. Again, I take nothing away from Dr. Gutsmann as a physician, but be warned about the extremely sub-par practice itself. Last I checked, you couldn't even reach office staff. This may be the worst doctors office have ever visited in my life (55+ years old). I use the term "doctor's office" loosely, since I have never seen a doctor there. The staff is rude. Tests are ordered, but results are never reviewed. It took over two months and several calls, texts, and visits to get the results of an ultra sound that their office had the same day the test was completed. I never received my lab results. I finally logged onto the lab's website and downloaded test results and had a friend (who is a doctor) interpret. Save your pocketbook and your health, find another doctor. read more

Beware: I waited a week for an antibiotic only to find out they sent one in that I was highly allergic to. It is very hard to speak to someone in this office. After you wait for a long time for someone to answer the phone, you are hung up on before you even can get one word out. This office charges outrageous fees for visits that are not necessary. being treated like a drug seeker for 30 pills over 6 months that were schedlue III. the way I was spoken on the matter was beyond ridiculous. the NP talks at you, the judgment and pontificating in a phony tone is painful. I said I walked every day? she walked out and told the doc I used my treadmill. uh? I dont have a treadmill.Dr. Gutzman was short and rude with me and I have been going every 4 to 6 months for 2 years. I find the whole group fattist and poor listeners. you would think someone who calls themselves caring wouldn't want to drive away customers by treating women worse than male docs do. but they do. women are worse offenders and we have these 2 at this office to highlight the sexism in medicine clause. wow..i called and texted ahead my needs and your office team judged me and they still all got it wrong. wonder why people are anxious when they go to docs. many many reasons these days. Dr is very busy and never been able to see her, but only nurse pediatrician. Not organized, they are not good in keeping track of the order they gave to the patients.
