They get there today and say. It is now $207.00. I was very confused and upset by this change of price. I called the owner Pat and he said too bad,this is how it is and it does not matter that we were quoted a different price by one of His Employees. I told Pat this I will be filing with the better business bureau, which he said he is a member of- I am sure with a bad rating with this kind of scam going on, he said ok. He was very conscientious about making sure everything was set up properly for the job, gave us a short and accurate explanation of what we could expect, then went to work. Afterwards, he gave us good advice about what to do next and even some free product to use in case the stain recurred. The results were great--I was sure the stain would be permanent, but they got rid of it completely. The final cost was much less than I'd expected. Ace cleaned my air ducts in April. Ever since then, when the fan kicked on, I got a whiff of…read moresomething musty. I finally called my HVAC company, since I was worried that they might have clogged the drain, and found that Ace had punched a hole in the sheet metal to access the duct in the garage, and the plug that they put in the hole did not fit tightly. So every time my air-conditioner kicked on it was pulling in stale air from the garage. It cost me $90 for them to put a 6 inch strip of duct tape on. I'm not very happy about that. Also, when Ace came they did not tell me that it would take them four hours. I went outside in the yard since there was equipment everywhere and got a terrible sunburn. A warning about the length of time would have been nice. After they left, I found an 8-foot scratch in my hardwood floors where something had been dragged. These employees definitely were not gentle or considerate of my home environment. Basically, my ducts are clean so I'm giving them a two. The additional $90 to cover a hole And The to-be-determined cost of repairing the scratch certainly do not put Ace in the economical a reasonable price category.
