The warranty expiration date on my sales receipt was 7/1/26. I began to have problems with the hearing aides in early 2026 and brought them into the doctors office several times for adjustments. Unfortunately they had new audiologists that wasn't familiar with my situation. I saw Dr. Astrachan on June 15, 2026 and he agreed that we needed to send the aides back to the manufacturer for adjustment, but I needed to make an appointment with his new audiologist to get fitted with a loaner pair, she couldn't see until 7/16/26, I told Dr Astrachan that I was concerned about the warranty and he said not worry because you were here on June 15th. Well on July 16th the audiologist said they called the manufacturer and they wouldn't honor the warranty, So I'm out 5,700.00 and need a new pair of hearing aides !!!

I made yet another appointment and got the dates mixed up and didn't go. They charged me $25 for a missed appointment. I actually sent them a payment but the check never cleared. I called the billing office and told them to re present the check. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. Then several weeks later I received a bill for $50!!! I called this time they answered in the billing department and I told them what happened. They didn't care. I ended up paying the $50. Expensive lesson but I learned. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Melnick in New Britain. No problems there.

Dr. Vris told me the procedure would change my life...and it has!! He is a kind, approachable doctor, who truly likes to help people. He takes the time to visit with you and explain the procedure thoroughly. The procedure itself was very non-invasive, the recovery was just as he described it, and I can now breathe fully through my nose. I've been a patient at OSG since July 2016 after a terrible car accident (100% other driver's fault…read moreon I95 rear-end collision with my car) for which I'm still in treatment. I've had wonderful care by the doctors, their staff and the chiropractor I've been treated by at OSG. However, I've had horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE treatment by administrative staff, most especially Billing Dept staff. Now, I have insurance covering the majority of my care so all I had were copays which I maxed out the out-of-pocket by mid-year, each year. Being unable to work, unemployment running out, and waiting for a disability determination and food stamps, I lost my job, my home and finally my apartment in December 2017. I explained this to the Billing Dept (I owed less than $300) that I was now living in my car in Winter and getting $25 gift cards to buy gas and food from my social services counselor. I desperately needed reports sent from my doctors to my attorney so he could negotiate a settlement in my case and I could hopefully afford a modest apartment and living expenses. I assured them they would be paid ANY outstanding bills as I still needed continued care. THE STAFF IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO RELEASE ANY REPORTS UNTIL MY BILL WAS PAID. I needed to see my doctor for an appointment which they allowed me to do WHEN I PAID HALF OF WHAT I OWED AT THAT TIME. It is now March 16, 2018 and the Billing Dept. still HAS NOT RELEASED MY DOCTORS' REPORTS. I am still living in my car and my health continues to deteriorate and my situation to worsen. I received $16 a month from the State of CT to live on which I'm appealing and I'm still waiting on disability determination. It's still Winter and it is very cold living in a car. I potentially could have been living in a warm space if my lawyer could have worked out a settlement before the end of 2017, BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE REPORTS FROM THE OSG DOCTORS. THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION MISSING AND STANDING IN HIS WAY IN MOVING FORWARD ON MY BEHALF. The doctors are great, but BEWARE, the Administrative Staff, i.e. Billing have Hearts of Stone. No Compassion. No Empathy. These People Should Not Work For Any Healthcare Agency--Ever!!!

He has seen me though kidney cancer about 20 years ago and made a plan for surgery. The cancer was removed and I never had any issues with cancer again. Let me add at least at the time I had like a 30% chance of survival. He has also gotten me though a couple of different scary health issues and every time his diagnosis has been correct and his treatment has cured me. He's a excellent old school doctor that ends up being a close friend to many of his patient's. I don't believe I would be here on earth if it wasn't for him. Let me add I'm not unique, I never seen Dr mongillo treat anyone else exactly the same way I'm was. He is a human being that cares about humanity. However I called back and they said that they were going to call a mediation to my pharmacy. I go the pharmacy and nothing was called so naturally I called them back. Some rude assistant picked up trying to rush me off the phone and she said they never called the prescription because the dr wanted to talk to me. I said I wished you called to let me know. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. Someone called me from the office and without asking me what happened stating that I am being rude to the staff. I laughed because at this point it was funny. I explained myself again, and made an appointment that I cancelled right away .this was just for a physical appointment , what if I was sick and they act like that again and again ....I was going to ask to be a concierge patient, but they don't need my money I guess. He has helped guide me and direct me through dealing with some serious medical issues requiring specialized physicians and surgeons including sepsis and cancer. He and his staff have always been very responsive and understanding with terrific "Bedside Manner". I took advantage of and enrolled in a Concierge Physicians program to which he belongs. The service offers several benefits. One of the most important benefits for me is virtually instant accessibility to him and/or his staff 24/7. I would recommend Dr. Saunders as a very competent practitioner of Internal Medicine as well as a down to earth General Practitioner or Primary Care Physician.

We don't blame the receptionists; they don't make the policies here. They also don't make new patient appointments here either, so they can't even reschedule us right now. I was given a slip of paper with a number to call to express my dissatisfaction and request a reschedule, which I did. What I couldn't do was speak with a supervisor. I also could not change preferences for when being notified about changes to appointments by doctors. But we don't use my chart in any regular way. We are not in it daily to see if a doctor changed an appointment. As I explained to the receptionist, my mother had been saying loudly in the background that she wanted to speak with a supervisor. Suddenly, three people in blue scrubs filed out to the desk in front of us, the ones who couldn't do anything. By the way, those receptionists sit in stools that are so low that if the patient were in a wheelchair, they'd never be able to see the person on the other side. Furthermore, if a patient starts having difficulty breathing or something in the waiting room, they'd never see that either. That's not putting patients first. So the blue scrubs kindly reimbursed our parking ticket and explained that the policy regarding notification preferences must be changed in My Chart, and it's not a policy they can change. Now, I can imagine that people might want to change their preferences multiple times a year, depending on what's going on, ER visits, hospitalizations, illnesses, vacations, relocations, and other things. It isn't helping the patient to make this so difficult; it doesn't serve the doctors or the doctor-patient relationship. It's the kind of thing that we'd want to check on and verify every time we show up at an appointment. We can't be expected to go into My Chart and monitor these toggles, wherever they are, whenever we have an appointment. This needs to be changed so that it can be updated and changed at the point of service for the patient's convenience, NOT the doctor's convenience, to go into My Chart and, with one click, derail a patient's entire day if you didn't happen to look into my chart. We want to be notified by phone and mail, not My Chart.

His knowledge is second to none. He's thorough. He doesn't miss a thing. I get a great exam when I come to visit. One thing I'm sad to see was that he is now part of the Yale Collective. My cost per visit tripled because of this move. I don't fault him for that. I fault Yale and their greed. I asked Dr Lane why it's more costly, and he mentioned Obamacare costs as a factor.
