This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. Your first…read moreappointment will be a consultation to rate ur pain level and issues to establish a therapeutic regimen. Appointments are 2-3x per week normally. They also give you exercises that you can do at home. I went for the dry needling, but found out my insurance doesn't cover it, but you have the option to pay out of pocket. The room is wide open so it will be several other patients getting worked on at the same time. They do have some private rooms. You're given several exercises to build your strength back up in whatever area you have issues with, and they also incorporate some massage, and heating pads into your treatment. It's about an hour visit, and you're in and out. Wear something comfy. I have used them in the past as well and think its a nice office to use for your therapeutic needs. Check them out!!

Once you check in, you are directed to the waiting area with chairs, TV, coat rack and cubbies for personal items. The Therapy area is large and equipped with everything you would expect to see in a state of the art facility. However, the front desk staff leave much to be desired. I got a call in June 2026 telling me they were cancelling my June followup because the now don't take my Anthem Healthkeepers insurance. I was welcome to reschedule and pay out of pocket for the visit, which would be $197. Xrays and anything else would be extra. I have never been so confused about insurance policies and frustrated with a practice.

They…read more& the new Brock Cancer Center are located on the southeast corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard & Kempsville Road. Both share a large parking garage. Entrance with a traffic light is located both on Virginia Beach Boulevard, which the buildings face, & Kempsville Road. The location is also easily accessible from I-264. The handicapped parking is extremely convenient & plentiful at the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. The spaces face the entrance & continues around each side of the building. I've never had to park in the spaces that require a short walk. A covered circular drive thru is a convenient drop off point at the main entrance. No valet parking is available. I've had therapy at Sentara Hand Therapy & Sentara Therapy Center- Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. I've had MRI's at the Advanced Imaging Center. My Shoulder & Elbow Orthopedic Surgeon does outpatient surgery in the building. But my recent Elbow Surgery, although outpatient, was scheduled at the hospital itself. The practice requires anyone who has a Cardiologist to have surgery at the hospital, where emergency personnel are more easily accessible. My experience with both therapy & the MRIs has been excellent. The equipment & facility is state of the art in this excellent sparkling clean Medical Center. Technology is sophisticated, extending as far as doors being opened by a sensor activated by the wave of a palm. There are also hand sanitizer stations in plentiful supply in the building. I'm very impressed by the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. It's now my location of choice for both Physical Therapy & Advanced Imaging,

Arrived for my appointment and they were going to send me away citing I needed to reschedule. I had…read morebeen injured for 3 weeks and was just trying to be seen by any doctor...didnt care who. After getting upset they allowed me to stay and be seen by the Dr (same one I was going to see to begin with..they wanted me to see the ligament dr specifically but I would have had to wait even longer) just so I could get an MRI referral. Dr. Pinkos told me I didnt have to use my crutches or brace...that he doubted I had anything severe wrong. Turns out I have completely severed ACL and bone bruising...had I listened to him I could have injured my self even more! The receptionist was horribly rude to me as I was having severe anxiety because of my pain. Go somewhere else. The nurses were the only one that cared. I have an injured shoulder as well, that I was sent with a referral for too.. and they didn't even ask about that!

I was told that I would receive expert advice from this orthopedist, however Dr. Graham was completely incompetent. He told me incorrect information about muscle insertions, didn't know proper muscle names, and he even told me I needed to cut running out of my life forever to keep the pain away. As a 25 year old and a soon-to-be Doctor of Physical Therapy, I know for an absolute fact that he is wrong and it is disheartening to see that there are doctors out here like this. Please consult you primary care doctor or physical therapist for another recommendation before coming here. Dr. Graham should be retired and I am taking steps to get his license revoked.

I'm in Town to visit my Daughter and her Ohana. I had taken a fall and injured my heel. I did not…read morego to the ER because although the pain was intense, it was not overwhelming for me to want to drive to the ER. Instead, I chose to jump on Yelp and locate a nearby Orthopedic Office for help. I found Advanced Orthopedics who was just down the road from my Daughters Doctor and decided to schedule a visit there as she had an Appointment as well. I had called and spoken to Brittany who was very kind and gave me the first Appointment available which was 2 days away. I was told to be there early to do paperwork and do an X-Ray. I got there at 12:00 p.m. Brittany greeted me right away and handed me the paperwork. The paperwork was completed in 5 Minutes and then Lisa had taken me in right away to do my X-Ray. I was in the room by 12:10 p.m. Dr. Graham came in at 12:16 p.m. I was out of there by 12:37 p.m. with a Boot for my injured heel. All in all, I really enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend Advanced Orthopedics to anyone in the area! Mahalo Dr. Graham, Lisa and Brittany!! You all are Awesome!!
