If you get a referral for surgery to their Savannah office, consider a consult with a different business. I answered phones for over an hour and tried to deal with an absolute irate patient, and then I had to shut down the office and lock it down on my own!!! Today I left the office in tears and tried to keep a smile on my face while taking my son to his autism therapy appointment. She diagnosed skin cancer and got us the treatment we needed. We do our yearly skin checks with her and wouldn't trust anyone else with our skin! We have used this office for everything from medical needs to laser hair removal and have received nothing but the best treatment from Dr. Gaughf and her staff. The receptionist took my file placed it in the hopper for me to be seen and told me to wait to be called. I told her that I had a balance of $84. I explained that I could pay the today;'s charges but not the past balance. She called and verified that that was OK. She said the $84 was not in collections but I would have to pay it before my next visit. I said OK. I asked her what todays balance would be? I assumed that it would be the same as my last visit. She put my file aside and kept me waiting for 20 minutes while she checked and helped other customers. She finally got back to me. And said that now I had to pay the the $84 plus the $60. I said 20 minutes ago you told me that I only had to pay todays balance. She said that had changed and I now had to pay it all. If she did not want to see me with a past due balance... I completely understand. But keeping me there 20 minutes and then changing your/her mind was not right.

On November 23, 2020 I called Richmond Hill Family and Cosmetic Dentistry about a tooth that has…read morebeen causing me trouble for quite some time. The receptionist quickly picked up and greeted me in a courteous manner. They were able to get me an appointment for the very next day with Dr. Carlos. Upon arrival the waiting area was clear of people, clean, and comfortable. There was one easy to read sign on the door explaining that they require face mask and they had sanitation stations throughout the practice. The receptionist greeted me in a welcoming and upbeat manner--she also took my temperature and asked me a sort list of qualifying COVID questions. I believe this practice has adapted well to business in a post-covid world and I think the reason the waiting area was so empty was an active effort to space appointment times to ensure social distancing. The medical staff called me back very quickly after my arrival and I didn't have mountains of cumbersome paper work they had taken care of everything. Dr. Carlos was great! He identified the problem with my tooth that required a filing and got to work right away. His Novocain injections were painless. My tooth was fixed in no time with no complications. Dr. Carlos worked very efficiently and put me at ease with his fun at ease style. At check out they already adjusted my insurance and I only had to pay $65. They also seamlessly scheduled my next cleaning right then and there. Thank you Dr. Carlos for fixing my hurt tooth and gums--I definitely recommend this practice.
