This location is completely unprofessional and misleading. I never received my eye exam after being told multiple times it would be done on-site. Instead, I was given nothing but excuses and the constant runaround. The staff "claims" you can complete your exam at the location, but once payment or scheduling is done, they fail to deliver or follow through. When I tried to make a complaint, they gave me a fake number; another tactic to avoid accountability. It's unacceptable and unethical, especially being located right next to an Army base where many Soldiers and families rely on honest service. I would not recommend this place. It's currently the 3rd week and my glasses are still not in. Apparently the lab was affected by the Human Coronavirus and they had to sterilize the entire building. Do you think they bothered to contact the customers about the delay? I had to come in twice to ask what's the hold up?Now they are telling me two more days...(we'll see). As I walked out, another customer came in angry with literally the same issue. She stated she already complained to corporate and demanded better answers...so I wasn't alone. Oh, and don't expect to meet a doctor in person. Your whole exam will be via Skype with a doctor probably 800 miles away. The techs are nice and professional. Update! After all of this mess, they also ordered me contacts that I never asked for, because once again, I didn't even qualify for contacts! They say they're going to look into this? I've talked to 3 customer service people, two supervisors who all said it's up to the store, spoke to the store manager & she said they never do refunds and what is done is done. Zero customer service and a huge scam! Scary. Original review: The employees here are really unkind & do not provide much information. They don't actually have a doctor on premises, it's video chat and I don't feel like my prescription is correct. They were not forthright about services offered. I only qualified for a glasses prescription not contacts & they still charged me for a contacts exam. My prescription is so low it doesn't even warrant a contact prescription so this made zero sense. $90 to only receive a glasses prescription. When I called to get help they told me they would do nothing about it. To top it all off, the equipment looked smudgy and unclean. Went in to pick up my glasses and approached the worker at the counter on the right. She was African American, skinny, with long hair and long eye lashes. I told her I was there to pick up glasses and she replied to not talk to her because she is on lunch and then ignored me instead of instruct me on who to see or where to go. I was then taken care of by another associate. This female continued to sit at the counter ignoring everyone in the room. This is by far the most rude experience I have ever had anywhere. If you are on lunch why are you sitting up front where customers are going to approach you and why are you on lunch in the front of the store where everyone can see you. I am not sure if I will go back to this store for my annual exam after encountering such poor customer service. read more

this place is a COMPLETE bait and switch rip of, I saw the 2 for 95$ with a free eye exam deal on the internet and called to verify and was told that the ONLY stipulation was bifocals wich ABSOLUTELY don't use or nee, so I drive 1 1/2 hrs to this plac and after the exam was informed that my prescription did not permit the deal price I tol him their were no restrictions WHAT SO EVER read more

From my understanding, you cannot just pay for an eye or contact exam. You have to order something, I just wanted to pay for my exams and get prescription. Was told could not do that. Explained I need to go to the ATM, clerk said if you leave we will have to call the police. And I have vision insurance. Never again. I have never been in a business where I got sent out when I needed to use the restroom and I wet my pants because I couldn't hold my urine to do my business. The. have the nerve to say the restrooms are closed, but some other lady was showing me to the bathroom until a black receptionist said they don't have bathrooms. No respect no customer skills. My Eyelab is conducting business in an underhanded and illegal manner. There is no doctor on the premises who does a physical examination.

My elderly parents went here by themselves to get my mother some eye glasses. They are not very technical savvy so when they were asked to fill.out paperwork on a iPad they were going to need a little help. One African American young lady, did come over but didn't help, when they asked for further assistance they were ignored. They left and we're very upset. I came down to visit my mother whom had just experienced a stroke and brought her back to eyelab,even thought they were rude and nasty the first time and we had a pleasant experience with 2 Other employees who.work there ( I hate to add race but these two were Caucasian and I need you to know because I want the right people to be reprimanded for their behavior). My parents got the call to pick up my mom's glasses and she drove up there to get them. They were rudely told by the the same AA young lady as before ( might be a manager) that the call came from the lab that makes it and not from them and her glasses weren't there. My mother was confused and when she tried to ask a question for clarification, the AA young lady looked at her and said, Next...... Really!!!!!!!!that's how you treat the elderly in a town full of soliders and elderly??????? I want to take this to corporate office for EYELAB SO PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONTACT ME! Avoid this location! They should hire dedicated eye professionals and stop running this like a remote online eyeglass company. The customer service at the Hinesville location is inconsistent. The manager is not a certified optician and the optician is always arriving late. My appointment today was made by the customer service people that are not local in the store for 9:20 am and she did not show up until after 10:05 am with 2 large Dunkin Donuts coffees in hand after the manager lied to me and told me she was late due to traffic because of an accident. I find the antics very unprofessional and distasteful and they will waste your time. I highly recommend if you have vision insurance going somewhere else. This is a uniquely remote eye experience. The optometrists are all remote (not at this location) except for one day every few weeks to re-evaluate you if your prescription is not correct. It takes 2 weeks for the glasses to come in and if they are not right and they have to send them back to the lab like they had to do for my glasses then it takes another 2 days. The optometrist is conducting your eye exam from an undisclosed location and it is very impersonal. The selection of eye glasses is vast however, this is a Walmart type shopping experience not a doctor's office type experience. read more

Its been a while since I've gotten my eyes check. I Normally go to Walmart, this time I tried my eyelab. Glad I did.... Ms. Jam Hunt was a wonderful help from the time I entered till I walked to my car. Definitely gonna continue to use my eyelab and recommend them from now on. read more
