I needed to get a tube replaced in a bike tire that popped and also have some cleats removed and pedals put on another bike. Dr. J's is conveniently located in Buellton and was open on a holiday! They have parking right out front, which was nice for unloading bikes and easily going inside the shop. The staff working this day was super helpful and immediately started helping us upon arrival. He was really quick to work on both bikes and we were in and out in less than half an hour. I definitely recommend this spot. They have tons of bikes and bike accessories available for purchase inside too.

This is a great local bike shop. If you need to rent a bike to ride in the Santa Ynez valley...this is your place. They have nice rental bikes and every kind of gear you may possibly need. My in-laws live in Santa Ynez so I came up here to ride quite a bit. My favorite story is the time Performance Bikes in Los Angeles gave me the wrong speedplay pedals (since they all look very similar) and I had drive 2 hours from LA to ride the Fig fondo. I arrived at the start line and realized I couldn't ride because my bike shop installed the wrong pedals even though I showed them the pedals I wanted and gave them my shoes to look at. Thankfully Dr. J's sorted it out and got me the right pedals. I've chatted with Corey a few times and he is super nice and knowledgeable as well. They are super friendly and knowledgeable here and I can't recommend them enough.

We highly recommend Dr. J's if you are looking for a bike tour. We did the wine tasting and lunch tour and it was excellent. Our guide was Scott, he was amazing. His knowledge of the area and its history made the tour even better. Just a great way to spend an afternoon!!!

My daughter and I were in Solvang for the Solvang Century and the bike I had shipped from Colorado had a problem.

Our guide, Tony, helped us plan a route to fit our schedule and abilities. He was a great guide; friendly, flexible, knowledgeable, and focused on making sure we had a nice time. We didn't have to worry about thing. We wound up doing Happy Canyon and then lunch and wine tasting at Lincourt. Great price point for all that is included (tour, nice bike and helmet rentals, water bottle to keep, lunch, wine...). Thanks again to the whole team for a memorable day! PS Please note the building used to be in Santa Ynez, but they relocated to Solvang. It's also a bike store, so you can store up on gear or snacks before or after your ride if you'd like.

The website was easy to use and Doug, the tour manager, immediately sent back a confirmation. On the day of our tour, Doug met us in the morning at Dr. J's bike shop. He helped us with bikes and helmets. They provided each of us with a blue water bottle. The whole process took about 30 minutes (more because we were slow not them). Chris gave us some final instructions, took our pictures and then we were off. We rode up to Neverland, did Olive oil tasting and visited a lavender farm. Olive oil tasting was fun and was a way to replenish after biking in the morning. The lavender farm we could have done without. I wish there was a guided tour of the place. Other than that, the lavender farm felt like an overpriced store. Then we went to a winery where a beautiful lunch was set up complete with local fruits a day dessert from a local bakery. There was music and wine and a beautiful view of the winery. If you're looking for a great experience this is it. Our guide Chris was great! He kept an close eye on us and was very encouraging when we have trouble going up the small hill. He was knowledgeable and didn't rush us. He made sure we had a great experience and we did! We'll definitely be back!
