I don't even know where to start about my experience with trying to get in to see Dr. Esmer. After seeing my primary care dr., she recommended that I see a DO, someone more specialized and with more knowledge and guidance than what she's been able to help with the last few years. After letting my primary care dr. gynecologist, and my outpatient care dr. know what the next move was, they were all on board. My primary care dr. recommended a few DO's she knew personally. Once I got home, I started the process of finding a new dr. Either no one was accepting new patients , they retired, or sadly left town. On June 24th., 2024, I spent several hours with my insurance company and calling numerous clinics and private practices to see if they were accepting new patients: that's when I found Osteopathic PDX. After reading the dr's bio and reading a few positive reviews, I called to see if he was welcoming new patients. Dianne, the office manager, collected some information and put me on the books for Aug 26th., 2024, which was the soonest Monday they could see me since Monday's are my days off. I was shocked and supper bummed that the wait was so long to be seen. I patiently waited for that day to come just to receive a call by Dianne, the morning of having to cancel my apt. due to the dr. not coming into the office that day. Dianne rescheduled the apt., and the soonest Monday was September 1st., 2024. This apt. was then again canceled the day of as well. Although I was not happy, both my primary care and treatment dr. encouraged me to make one last ditch effort in rescheduling another apt. I was thinking "the dr. clearly does not like working on Monday's." Yet again, I was rescheduled for Oct., 21st. Sunday night, I received a voicemail by Dianne saying something to the effect that the dr. had something come up and that my apt. would need to be rescheduled. No. No, I sure will never be "rescheduling" another apt. with this dr., screaming out loud. I've now spent the last 4 months time waiting to be seen by this provider, and rescheduling for a 4th time is something I will not do. Working in the medical field myself, I understand that things come up with dr's and or their staff. Unfortunately, having to move patients around or reschedule them is something that happens from time to time. It personally hurts when I have to make these kind of calls to patients. However, Dianne should've known that this was 3rd cancellation now. There's one thing I know working as a surgical assistant, and that the surgeon I work for and myself would have skipped a lunch break, (as we often do anyway), or come to work an hour early, and or stay an hour later to make it right with that one patient; especially for the one who's been cancelled on one too many times. Dr's and their staff often have that ability to do just that and I wish they would've shown the compassion to do so. Perhaps in the future, when the dr. needs to reschedule the patients, you could color code or have a system in place of how many times you've had to cancel that one particular pt. because every time Dianne would call to cancel my apt., it's like she was unaware that she's now called me 3 times prior cancelling my appointments. I truly felt like she had no care whatsoever for my time spent waiting to be seen. That is was just another day at the office. It's a shame that I even have to write this review. And believe me, it's taken me weeks to think about this. I kept asking myself "should I write a review or should I just let it go?" Something over the course of the last few weeks kept nudging me to do so. Maybe now I will feel better about the situation? Maybe I just needed to write all this to get it off my chest? Because I do patient care, I felt the right thing to do is to let whomever know, who's thinking of becoming a new patient here, make aware of my experience with Osteopathic PDX.

I had a difficult neck/rib problem and Dr. Esmer helped me quite a bit in a single session. Several other practitioners including a chiropractor had tried but his session helped me turn the corner on that problem. This office bills some health insurance plans; call to ask. I'm able to see him for a $40 copay; I'm used to paying out of pocket for this sort of treatment so I feel very fortunate. Since the pandemic, he is often booked out several weeks to a month, so plan ahead.

And nothing to indicate this is a real business location, except a hard to read lettering on the door. I don't know if they scammed me, or if they are legit. I can tell you that they were quite willing to take my $125, which I grudgingly gave the receptionist. She seemed very inflexible. I told her to never contact me again. And that I was going to write a negative review. She said I had no grounds for that. That it was my fault, and she had tried to contact me. Again, I filled out the forms. I don't know what happened. I say this because Dr Zaander is hands down the best OB/GYN I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by (you heard me right, ladies... I said pleasure). This is because while the majority of us normally dread this type of annual visit, Dr Z makes it more than simply bearable... instead it feels like coming home each time to talk to a really good friend. Someone who you know beyond a shadow of a doubt will always have your back and your best interests at heart. So then what could possibly have made it so "bittersweet", you might ask?... Well, my health insurance just changed and unfortunately she is no longer covered by my new policy. So even though I've finally found the one doctor I feel the most comfortable with, it appears that I might have to switch to someone completely new, all over insurance and cost. If so, that would make this my last visit... and there in lies the bittersweet-ness. Now don't get me wrong... Dr Zaander and her team are amazing enough that if I can find a way to afford to continue to go there in spite of my lack of insurance coverage, I most certainly will. They truly are THAT GOOD. :) So whether this was in fact my final visit, or I continue to be seen here for many years to come, I want to personally send a BIG thank you to Dr Zaander and the entire staff at Lake Oswego GYN for taking such excellent care of me for all these years. Arrived for an appointment originally made 4 months previously and changed by NW Functional twice…read moresubsequently only to find out that the appointment had been cancelled because of some bogus Medicare issue. Told by one of the associates that the practice had been advised not to see anyone of "Medicare" age while various approvals were being sought. We were very hopeful that this "different" approach to our condition might provide some hope and could not be told when we could possibly be seen. The lack of professional practice management makes us doubt the value and skills of this approach and we will be unlikely to accept a future appointment. Extremely disappointed! Felt we were told a series of lies regarding the scheduled appointment. Seriously deficient in management of the basics of a health-related practice. This rating would be lower if it was offered.

I was with dr. zilinski for at least 2 weeks of intensive care therapy treatment and he was more…read morethan wonderful in helping me figure out my diagnosis's that i've been wondering for the last couple years and within my first appointment he got them in a 2 hour time span! he knew exactly how to treat it and rewire my brain so that it didn't affect my body to align again and both weeks did that. him and the assistant probably saved my life. and i always will remember that. thank you.... as for mrs. zilinski i was wrongly accused of being drunk one appointment, where i was ABSOLUTELY NOT. i was awake for 24 hours straight, i could not fall asleep i was shaking and stumbling over my words (which is a HUGE symptom of POTS. my BIGGEST diagnosis i got from her husband. i was wearing the same clothes as i wore the previous day. that night around dinner time (7:00pm) i drank 2 glasses of wine.... a normal amount?! but because i couldn't fall asleep that night and didn't shower or brush my teeth in the morning because i was late to my appointment, i probably still smelled like it. i get that. but... she got loud with me and accused me of being drunk and did NOT listen to me when i told her i was not at all: being awake for 24 hours in results of shaking and having major anxiety because of it, not showering, had 2 glasses of wine the previous night, but would never not only drink and show up to an appointment but would NEVER drink and drive. she did not give a fuck if anything i said. she just kept making a sour face and continued to say i smell like alcohol and am drunk. I. WAS. NOT. got pissed off as anyone would be for the accusation and told everyone in the building i was drunk and to end working with me. then would not even LET me drive home. sent a fucking UBER. took my keys and wouldn't let me have them back!!! WHAT THE HELL. i went to my doctor afterwards and asked them to draw my blood to see if there was any alcohol in my system. none. had to come back in the next day to get my keys. everyone at the front desk were whispering about me and giving me disgusted looks. and mrs zilinski never talked to me blatantly ignoring me when i tried to speak to her again about it. and brushed me off and walked away. that is the most unprofessional thing i've ever seen from a LICENSED professional, who is a "psychologist". assuming and accusations based off their actions towards the situation. I absolutely recommend the neurologist side, but NEVER go to her. i am absolutely appalled by the way i was treated by her and the childish behavior and comments she chose to unprofessionally spoke towards me. 0 stars actually -10 stars for what SHE chose to say about me with a literal doctors confirmation that i was sober. im extremely sad and angry still 6 months later than i cannot see them anymore because of being accused and mistreated by her. on another note: intensive care therapy treatment for ONE week costed me $10,000 so imagine the TWO weeks to be treated for my 7 different diagnoses i was given all at once in august that means i spent $20,000 for the neurology team to help me get better results... one appointment with mrs. zilinsky on the psychological side costed me $350-425 and i saw her twice. unbelievable it's almost like she just wanted my money instead of being the role she played being a "professional" before she kicked me out and still required me to pay for the appointment that i barely was 15 minutes into. WORST psychologist i've ever encountered!
