She and her front desk staff go above and beyond to assist their patients. Time and time again, Dr. Litchman has proven to be a caring, dedicated, and concerned practitioner. She spent eight months fighting with my insurance company to have necessary tests and procedures covered. Because of her commitment, she was able to get approval, the root cause of a two an a half year headache was discovered, and I was able to have the necessary brain surgery. Without her, I am not sure I could have endured. Because of her caring disposition, and refusal to give up, I felt supported and encouraged to keep fighting.

When i miscarried and called the office back, i was told i abandoned an appointment that at my prior appointment was already established to have been cancelled as a pregnant patient cannot get botox. i intend to pursue this legally as i do not see where any physician can abandon a patient in the middle of a treatment plan and provided no notice of same. i had to call to find out. the front desk at this office is horrendous and the office manager has personally apologized to me several times for the inconsistencies with my coordination of care. i do not know if the staff is underpaid but i would never recommend anyone to Dr. Litchmann though Yale Physicians seems to be a decent facility. I intend to report her to the State Department of Health Services and the Medical Board as well. It is a truly disappointing and shocking situation. I have never heard of a licensed physician ever abandoning a patient mid treatment plan without notice. i would recommend prospective patients pay close attention to my review, that of Amanda's below and the "not recommended" review by Geri as i can personally attest to the same exposure.

After a week and no call, I called the office 3 times each time the receptionist left Dr. Evans a message that she DID NOT respond and noone called back. On the 3rd call the receptionist tried to set up a televisit with a different person. I refused to pay another $50 when at minimum Dr. Evans could have responded to the messages left for her. Or called in the perscription that we discussed during the initial visit. Needless to say I will not be going back for a follow up and have scheduled an appointment with a different Doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. de Cholnoky since 1989 and have found her to be an excellent OBGYN. She saw me through a very difficult pregnancy in 1990 with complications prior to and following the birth that caused me to get to know a good number of specialists that work out of the Stamford Hospital system. While in the hospital, I asked several doctors who they chose to use or whom their wives chose to use for their OBGYN care. Everyone I asked told me de Cholnoky including the then head of Surgery for Stamford Hospital. His comments said all. Here is what he said: "There are lots of doctors who can deliver babies and that's pretty norm for the course during the life of an OBGYN. The reason my wife see de Cholnoky is because I have seen her at the operating table. She's as cool as a cucumber in the event of an emergency. And that's what you really want. Someone who can react well when it's necessary and someone who can handle the more complicated issues during a pregnancy or any other malady in a women's health care. de Cholnoky skipped first grade at Greenwich Academy. She then went on to succeed with obtaining a degree from Harvard Medical School during an era when professors were walking into classes and addressing the class with "Good morning Gentlemen." It takes smarts and guts to be a breakthrough woman in any line of career. She's won my respect. I can't recommend her enough and have advised my daughter as a result, to also see her. I researched doctors in the area thoroughly and landed with her as my choice. I hope she'll do a good job for anyone choosing to see her as a result of this post. As a new patient I assumed there would be paperwork. No one was in the office and the door was locked. When I saw the lights come on at 7:58, I tapped on the window to get into the waiting room and the receptionist hollers at me "you have to wait two minutes until we open." What? I can't sit down? When you are sitting right there to let me in? (2) I came to the doctor with a need for a urologist, a neurologist, and a therapist. I am having some female issues and I was hoping she could give me a recommendation for a urologist. She looked at a picture I had from a previous surgery by a world renown doctor and said, "You have a prolapsed bladder." Huh? I have been to many doctors, urologists, and gynecologists and none of them have ever indicated that I have a prolapsed bladder. (3) I have severe endometriosis and told her I had had an endometrial nodule in a sensitive area. She said that wasn't possible until I showed her a picture I had of my insides from the doctor. Didn't have much to say after that. (BTW, the world renowned doctor is Dr Salgado in Puerto Rico. He is a Harvard lecturer on endometriosis. (4) I don't appreciate Christian prayers being displayed in a consultation room. If those are your beliefs, that's fine, but I don't need you to put up a poster about being a good Christian business woman. (5) I asked for standard bloodwork as this was an initial visit. I also need to get the levels of some of my meds monitored. She was reluctant to run a standard A1C, Glucose, Liver, Thyroid test although the size are SOP for a new patient. She told me that if I needed blood work, she would do it "this time," but in the future I needed to contact the doctor that needs the results and get a blood test through her. Why?!? When she decided she would do the blood tests, she couldn't find the form to send with me to do the tests *sigh* I will not go to or recommend this doctor.
