A family member went here and she explained her experience. Terrible. The doctor called her a "clusterfuc_" because she had more than one condition she needed help with. Also just terrible at her job. Shouldn't be working as a doctor. Poor communication. Not terribly smart or empathetic. The glowing reviews on Google are probably paid for fakes. Run!!!! read more

This is my first time yelp-ing because I am so disappointed/annoyed at this doctor. What everyone else said was right, LONG LONG wait with NO apology. I waited an hour and 15 mins to see her and she didn't even apologize. When I finally get to see the doctor, she would type annoyingly while you talk so she could jot everything down (even irrelevant personal/family matters). so next time you see her, she would just read off her screen, "Oh, you got married, how was it?". C for effort, it would be nice to actually know your patients. I've been going there for 3 years. I thought she was awesome, but after a while, the things she says are actually offensive and not even sincere. I feel rushed everytime I see her. I finally have the courage to switch doctors. P.S. Dr. Mary Scott is a tremendous and very smart doctor. Numerous members of my family and friends go to Dr. Scott and they all agree that she is a Dr. who truly cares about her patients. If you're complaining about a long wait in the Dr's office, it's probably because Dr. Scott doesn't rush any of her patients when you do have an appointment with her because she always takes the time to listen and talk to you. The only complaint I would have about Dr. Scott is that it may take a 2 weeks or even more to get an appointment with her because she is always booked. If she wasn't a good Dr. , it wouldn't be so hard to get an appointment with her. I have had multiple health issues and Dr. Scott always explains in thorough detail what my diagnosis is and how my new medications will help me (by using posters/pictures of the human body/brain) because she always wants you to understand what is going on in your body and wants to make you feel at ease. One example is, after having a hard pregnancy, I had high blood pressure and Dr. Scott was so concerned that she would call me on the weekends to check on my health and to make sure my blood pressure wasn't too high. In all, Dr. Scott is a hard working and dedicated primary care doctor. She helps me stay healthy, identifies potential medical conditions, finds specialists for you when you need them, and creates long and comfortable relationships with her patients. This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She was rude, pushy, demanding, overbearing and flat out mean. I left in the middle of my appointment in tears at the way I was treated. I've seen Dr. Mary Scott for years. If more people called out their doctors, rude, unprofessional behavior, I am convinced we as clients/consumers/patients would have better care. Again, Dr. Scott should have retired 10 years ago. I cannot begin to tell you how many offensive, hurtful, insensitive things she has said to me. I personally thing she does not like her patients. She is complacent and rude. If someone writes an actual Good review after mine, it's either A) her friends or B) her assistance that are rude, rude, rude. They talk about other patients in the waiting room. Watch out for the ones that have names taken straight from the movie clueless. Dr. Scott's Apathy and the apathy of her staff have no limits. Been visiting this clinic for a few years. Just received a call from their office telling me that I needed to schedule my annual physical and that my health insurance company required an annual physical. Then, I called my insurance company to verify this. The information is not true. Instead, it's a tactic used by the clinic to drum up business for their office. Know your health care rights. Yes, health insurance companies will pay for an annual physical. No, it is not required that you get one. read more

Personally me, my brother and my GF have had very good medical care provided by Dr Scott. She is not for everyone---but she is for us. As a lifelong RN I have seen the value of an MD who loooks at patients individually---and understands that they are not all the same. She has on several occasions described how a medication will have a great effect on some people---and not on others. Being very medication sensitive I find that almost unheard of in the medical community---and especially where I have worked for 30 years. I also have approached her with many ideas over the years regarding my medical care. Each time she has been open to suggestions and is more than willing to explore my ideas. My former MD was absolutely unwilling to hear anything but his own voice telling me what I need. One of the most interesting facets of this Family Medicine Specialist is her uncanny mastery of Psychiatric issues. I am a Nationally Certified Psychiatric RN with 32 years experience. I work in a Harvard Psychiatric institution with widely accomplished and published MDs. When Dr Scott and I speak about Psychiatric issues---including Pharmacology and Therapy---I am always taken aback. She has a "sixth sense" in this Psychiatric arena. Not many of the Harvard trained MDs I work with have it. She does. I understand that at times she comes across in a sort of riposte fashion---but I dont take that personally. Medicine today is highly frustrating and I dont think any MD is immune to it. I can honestly say that I wouldnt trade Dr Scott for any other Primary Care MD I have ever met.. read more

update to my last review......so I had originally gone to see Dr. Scott for a problem back in early August - when they screwed up my prescription. I had to call because after three weeks I wasn't seeing the results Dr. Scott told me I would see. I spent three days talking to her AWFUL staff begging them to have her call me....NOPE "she wants to see you" - screw that she just saw me why can't she CALL ME BACK instead of ME taking time off my job to come in AGAIN? No way. Also, I just called them this week b/c I never received the results of the blood work they did at my original appointment in August. They told me they would email them to me at the time of the appointment. Um.. so when I called this week the secretary tells me the don't use email to send results?? well then why the hell did the nurse ask me for my email address so she could send me the damn results if they don't do that?? So i asked the secretary to please send me letter with the results...she had to check with the Medical Tech to see if they can do that. I'm sorry but I PAID for that damn test I think i'm entitled to see the results. All I can say at this point is,,,,they suck all around. Im supposed to go and see Dr. Scott at the end of September for a physical....they can eat me. No way will I allow this so called Dr. to touch me ever again. I already booked an appointment with my old primary for November. Can't wait to see her at Tufts New England Medical Center where a patient actually gets real care. read more
