If I could give zero stars I would. I am so unbelievably disappointed in this place. After being excited that this practice was new I went hoping for the absolute best since they were all "pediatric" and well NEW. I brought my baby who had RSV last month in hopes that they could help her as she was showing signs of respiratory distress, has a cough, and fever of 102.4 and I would have preferred to keep her out of the ER for obvious reasons. A decision I am clearly regretting.
I arrived right when they were opening and was greeted with two people just staring at me, no "hi how are you?" "How can I help you?" "What brings you in today?" ...after explaining what was going on with my 7 month old daughter, I got a lovely "okay well do you have an appointment because people that have appointments will be getting seen first". Which okay, fair, if we were not, the ONLY people there, I would have been able to understand. But I also found it interesting considering when I logged onto the app to fill out information it informed me that we were next in line and there were no appointments ahead of us.
The pediatric oxygen machine wouldn't work. Which is honestly the least of my complaints. I won't even go into detail about the misinformation I received but I will give you my favorite highlights, like "we don't worry about babies in respiratory distress really when they are awake, it's more of a concern when they a sleeping" and "if someone is making noise/talking they can breath" a dangerous myth to spread as a medical professional.
I would expect anyone in the medical field to know that to make sound/speak you only need a very small amount of air to move through the upper airways and that still doesn't mean that oxygen is supplying the rest of the body adequately.
But I really knew I had made a grave error in bringing her here, when the "nurse/tech" came in to set up her nebulizer treatment and proceeded to drop the mouth, face mask part on the FLOOR and then put it back on the tube for my SICK BABY TO USE! It wasn't until I said "um can I get a new mask part" that she threw it out and replaced it. Dropping stuff happens obviously. But you need to wait for the patient to ask you to replace it?! And thank god I watched it happen or my baby with an already lowered immune system would have been directly exposed to god only knows. FOUL!
For anyone wondering if this is going to be your better bet to avoid the ER, save yourself the stress and money and go.. quite literally anywhere else. read more
