Dr. Louie was kind enough to fit me in for a surgery on his last surgical day here out of his current practice which will soon be moving to a new location. I had originally seen a different Urologist from Pomona who would not come to the hospital in early February to help me out when I needed it the most. Sadly, when I met with him 10 days after being in the hospital it was only a consolation. He really did not seem too concerned about the pain I had been going through off and on as he wanted me to go get another ultrasound in two weeks and then another two weeks after that come back to him to see the results and if the issue was still present, we would then schedule for surgery. If Dr. Louie had not fit me in, I would have still been waiting for my procedure if I had have stayed with this other Doctor. Dr. Louie is awesome and I want him to know that I am grateful that he fit me into his schedule to address my issue. When Dr. Louie opens up his new location his new patients will be in good hands. UCI Urologist Dr. Michael K.Louie in chino hills I had real bad experience of Dr.K.Louie. I was a patient of Dr. K.Louie for for almost 2.5 yrs. He was very gentle and nice at my first visit. I had overactive bladder and incontingence . Dr.K. Louie did all kind of treatment including Urodynamics and Botox but not success after all. Finally he recommended "RESUME"technick which is the REZUM procedure destroys prostate tissue using heat energy in the form of water vapor(even though he did not have enough experience of RESUME procedure). He started RESUME procedure on 09-12-2019. and I'm still having pain and hard to urinate.I could'nt go to sleep for 3 days(not even a twinkle of eye) I 'd called office because of pain and swelling of bladder right after removed catheter and he was out of town. he even did not prescribe antibiotics and pain pill after procedure. He'd prescribed only "Urinary Pain Relief"(you can buy over the count) I went to ER for twice for bladder swelling and pain(because of dysuria). Because of his negligence I'd been suffered for many months. I was(used to be) also a healthcare provider(that's why I did'nt go to court because I know what it is for him and practice). I have to put catheter almost several months. End of that I had severe "Epididymitis"(huge swelling of scrotum) But I have to let them know and all pertinent patients to know that no other patient should be suffered like me afterward. Great experience with Dr. Dhar. I came in because I have been struggling with a long term issue of frequent UTIs. I have tried everything recommend to me and nothing seemed to cure the issue. Dr. Dhar provided me a consultation and provided me ongoing support to combat this issue. So far has worked. He's a life saver. read more

He is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. I had a prostrate procedure which I was very very concerned about. He explained in detail the procedure I was going to go through. I can't review the doctor himself because I never got past the receptionist. After filling in all my information and booking my appointment online, and receiving 5 appointment reminders from ZocDoc, the service they use, I was told today when I arrived that my appointment was not on the calendar and they did not accept my insurance. So I wasted no less than 2 hours of my time with this office only to be turned away. Part of the forms I filled out online were insurance carrier and all the pertinent numbers. Had the staff at the office simply looked at the information I submitted then they could have canceled my appointment and not wasted any more of my time. My recommendation to this office: if you sign up for a service like ZocDoc (which is great by the way) then you have to use it as designed. Doing so will save your patients a lot of aggravation! read more

Very unprofessional!!! I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist was rude and informed me I had to call my insurance myself to see what my copay was going to be. I've never had to do before at any doctors office. The day of my appointment (today) I left work early and when I showed up they let me waste more of my time filling out papers only to tell me I couldn't be seen because their systems were down. I thought It was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of them not to call their patients and let them know they would not be seen. I can't speak for the doctor but my first interactions were not pleasant I will not be returning. read more

I have been treated by Dr. Louie and have nothing but good things to say about it. He is friendly, knowledgeable and will answer all the questions posed. In other words he has good bedside manner. Where he really stands out in my opinion was in the way he did procedures. The biggest indicator was the way he did a cystoscopy. Now I have had 2 done prior to his doing one. The previous 2 were nearly the worst experiences in my life. I have broken bones, passed kidney stones, and the 2 prior cystoscopies were horrible events equal to fractures and stones. Not so this time. Though it was no fun, it was tolerable. In fact I was able to look at the screen and view what he did. that was not possible before. Pain for those was a 10 out of 10. Maybe even an 11. For him to have made me feel that comfortable says something about his belief in the type of care he provides for his patients. I had a Button TURP. It was done in an outpatient surgical center (I was glad to hear this since I did not want to be admitted to a hospital. Back home by 1 pm I could recover where I would be most comfortable. Post Op my biggest concern was pain control. I used Hydrocodone only 3 times and never again. Tylenol and Motrin were more than adequate to manage discomfort. Once the urinary catheter was removed. I felt fantastic, even though I did have to manage my level of activity, I felt as if I could resume a normal level of activity. At present I have no problems. I am very active trying to get ready to return to work. (I am 4 wks. post op) For those who have had problems with his staff all I can say is I had a minor problem too. Nobody died, I have no complications, the sun still rose, and the issue was corrected. The staff I dealt with have been pleasant and helpful. I know that when we are ill we want all to be corrected as quickly as possible and anything that stands in the way of this we view as a major problem. To me those inconveniences can be overlooked as long as I DO receive good care. Bottom line, help me return to the best state of health as possible. I could be wrong, but after seeing several Urologists over 3 decades, I think I did. His taking the time and expending the effort to make me feel comfortable I am sure transfers over to what he did when I was anesthetized and unaware. I am grateful for the care that was provided. read more

Very professional staff, I like the rapport that they build with their patients. I took my son in for a procedure and the medical assistants took me under their wings and explained every step of the procedure in detail. I couldn't had chosen a better facility. Dr. Michael Louie, MD - Chino Hills, CA ripped me off for $11000. We agree in September on price for surgery to diagnose type of bladder cancer at $2600 cash and 500 insurance co-pay. I have paid $932.23 prior to surgery. Today have received invoice for $12622 for 20 minutes procedure. I don't have that kind of money, I'm retired with $2400 per mo. So i think it is better to die than see Dr. Michael Louie. Didn't expect that big lies from him and his personnel. read more

I was referred here by my health insurer as I was having difficulties finding a urologist to see me within a eeek, as most urologists are min 1 month wait time for new patients. Unbelievably they had an opening. I was so grateful that they were able to book me on such short notice. Dr Dhar was knowledgeable, professional and had a ver bedside manner. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions without rushing my visit. The staff was very professional and efficient, answered any questions and partnered with the imaging center to ensure my diagnostic tests were authorized by insurance and reached out to my Primary Dr for my medical records. They were super friendly and so efficient. So refreshing. The office was nicely decorated and clean and wait time to the Dr was minimal. A great experience. Took my elderly mother to see Dr. Louie twice. We were very impressed with his skill, bedside manner and professionalism. Prior to seeing Dr. Louie, my Mom experienced what we thought were recurrent UTI's (at least 5-10/yr). Dr. Louie accurately diagnosed the issue and my Mom hasn't had any UTI-type symptoms in over 6 months. He doesn't act rushed like so many doctors today and he took the time to answer all of our questions and explain things well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Louie. read more

Take way way way too long for staff to send applications for ultrasound. Called my medical provider found out they never send applications after I called them 2 times for it. Which they told me they supposed to do it the same day when I was there. After 5 working days, my medical provider still not getting anything from this place.......what a shame read more
