A little while later, a woman who I assume was a manager came over and explained that the tables could not be put together. She was very kind about it, and we had absolutely no problem moving them back. I completely understand restaurant policies. Unfortunately, everything after that made us feel very unwelcome. Our waiter was nice, but he barely checked on us compared with the other tables. There was also another woman overseeing the outside area who was walking around greeting and checking on nearly every table except ours. I don't know if it was because we had children, because we wanted to sit outside, or because we had originally put two tables together, but the difference in service was very noticeable. I asked for a menu and waited about 30 minutes before having to wave someone down again. After that, it still took another 20 minutes to actually get the menu. At no point during all of this did anyone come over to take our food order, while we watched other tables arrive, order, eat, and receive attentive service. At that point, I should have left much earlier, but I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Eventually, I paid for our coffee and we left. We walked literally across the street to MAQUE, and the experience was NIGHT AND DAY. They were welcoming, accommodating, attentive, and wonderful with our family. We still got to sit outside in the front, enjoy the beautiful weather, and they even had live entertainment. Honestly, it ended up being such a better experience!! I know one Yelp review isn't going to make or break Felix, but I wanted to share this because it was very obvious that other guests were receiving great service while we were being overlooked.
