Tonight was not the night to be seated outdoors because the cooler temperature was definitely noticeable. The dining room is small but the ambiance filled with plants and other cool decorations made up for the smaller space. We both got jugo de Jamaica which is one of my favorite juice drinks on Mexico. We went on a Monday night and had such a fun, upscale experience from start to finish. One thing we really loved was being able to dine at the bar. It's surprisingly hard to find full food service at the bar in Mexico City, so that made the evening feel extra special and relaxed. We started with the Carpaccio di Manzo and the Carpaccio di Pulpo. The flavors were great, though the pulpo dish was a bit light on the octopus and leaned more heavily on the potatoes. For our mains, we ordered a couple of specials -- a seafood soup and the tuna pizza -- and both were absolutely delicious. We finished the night with a few desserts and a couple bottles of gourmet Italian wine, which paired beautifully with everything. The service was excellent, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Alejandro, which added a personal touch to the evening. It was my lucky day! Nonsolo Is right in the heart of the historical Zolaco. It has an old world charm and an inviting menu. As soon as I walked in I got a really nice vibe and liked my waitress. She spoke a little English and I spoke a little Spanish, and between the two of us we were able to communicate. I'm not so crazy about a QR code menu, but this seems to be standard fare these days. It was hard getting a signal on my phone to view the menu, so she signed me into their internet Wi-Fi and then there was no problem. I ordered pasta with clams in a white clam sauce. And of course, a Coke zero! While I was waiting, I enjoyed the bread and butter and taking in all the people strolling by. The pasta was really delicious and I hated to see the bowl empty. I sat for a while looking at the people in the street and took in the wonderful ambiance and that delicious meal before I headed to Ballet Folklorico.
