UPDATE: I had another company come out from Oldham County, I had a misfire. with a simple fix they fixed my issue and said I do NOT need a new unit. I cant believe what I went though with Dr.P. Tried to sell me a new unit. Do NOT recommend. Be weary, if you communicate any dissatisfaction, the team (husband/wife) tag team and scream. The husband was in the background literally yelling. I had to ask her to stop emailing me, in which she continued. I threatened to call the county attorney if she didn't stop. Not only did she NOT stop she had an officer call me to get my side of the story. He then called her to ask her to stop calling me. She is very dishonest. I do not post negative comments unless I feel the public needs to know. No business should ever scream and tag team a customer over nothing. It is on record however. I will NEVER use them again as well as 5 other people I have found in Oldham that feel the same. A good friend had a similar experience with them both. They are fake, not genuine people, it was their unprofessionalism that shocked me. Again, they will respond to this because they are terrified of a bad review, but I must tell others about my experience And share the truth! They have now updated their response FOUR times and is adding personal information about me on here that will likely result in a lawsuit as some should be very confidential. Super grateful for the affordable and professional inspection and house vent duct cleanings, we've had last 2 yrs. The tech identified a gas leak near our furnace. When LG&E tech came by 2nd time, even after repairs, a whole new gas pipe with multiple connectors changed, there was STILL a gas leak. In all ~4 gas leaks identified. YIKES! So thankful I found Dr.P's (thanks Yelp!). I used Yelp to reach out, love the messaging system, Dr.P's responded quickly. They were able to get us scheduled for the next day. Got a nice heads up text when they were on their way which I really appreciate because it gave me enough time to kennel up my pups, it's nice not to have to scramble when someone is knocking at the door. Tech was kind and courteous, made sure to put on the little booties to protect our floor. Came in diagnosed the issue, had the parts on the truck, got us back up and running in no time at all. Tech stayed to make sure the system continued to run smoothly. Offered us their maintenance plan, it looked great, but needed to crunch some numbers before we signed up, tech was totally understanding and didn't push it. I am so thankful they were able to fix the issue today! The other guys that came out before Dr.P's said we needed a whole new unit. Dr.P's saved us $3,000! I asked to get a service on an out door ac unit. I didn't know if any parts needed to be replaced or whatever just that it wasn't cooling properly! I had no issues getting a date within the week and a knowledgeable guy, Robbie H, did the service and explained all the things to look out for to keep my unit up and running and clean. There was no parts broken just a filthy ac coil. He had to take off the top to clean it and get the poison ivy out of it. The price was great for a cleaning and I also signed up for their service plan to come check the unit quarterly. My property is used as an airbnb so I need to make sure the furnace and ac are always up to snuff and the guests are happy. Thanks Robbie for being so knowledgeable and teaching me what to look for when checking any ac unit or furnace! I will call you all for all my properties when they need it! read more

Had Justin come by for a regularly scheduled spring HVAC maintenance on annual older pair of units. He spent a few hours going through all components, checking Freon levels, cycling the units, etc. I have to say it was pretty thorough. He took time to explain what he did, what he saw,, and what I should do to keep the units running. Ended up needing a blower motor. HVAC and blower are up and running now and just in time for winter. Some little things I noticed that set these guys a cut above the rest: boot covers over their shoes when they enter the home, courtesy phone call when they are en route, Justin showed me pictures of the power meter readings after inspecting the unit and explained them in detail, invoice with multiple options, and they rock a company shirt *and* hat. I had my HVAC vents cleaned as well as my dryer vent. P's HVAC Heating and Air Conditioning was quick to respond to my request for a quote. The quote was in line with other quotes and lower then several. I chose them because they were prompt on communications, and they were available quickly. Jacob and his partner showed up on time, and I received a text about 30 minutes before their arrival with a picture of the techs and a brief bio - nice touch. Jacob also called to make sure I was available and to confirm his arrival time. Upon arrival they wore booties to keep the house clean and inspected the vents etc. The price did increase, but that was on me because I misquoted the number of ducts I had when I gave them my info. My fault, not theirs. They then efficiently cleaned intake and output HVAC vents as well as my dryer vent. The whole process took a while, but they worked quickly and efficiently. When they were done they showed me the dust, dirt and lint that were removed from my vents - there was a lot! they cleaned up and it looked as if they had never been there! Everything was back in place properly and all stray dust and dirt was vacuumed up and vents were all replaced. They even did me a solid and secured a previously loose outside connection that I didnt have the proper tools or screws for, that was nice of them. The first day after I did see some increase in light dust that they advised could happen, and after a regular dusting, I can tell it made a big difference because the general dust around the house is MUCH less than it had been. For reference, my home is 18 years old, I have lived here 3.5 years and this is the first time the ducts were ever cleaned. Now I wish I had done this when I moved in as I was battling dust constantly. Learned my lesson about keeping vents (dryer in particular!) cleaned more frequently. I called ahead of time to get my thermostat replaced. I made sure to ask the exact price before I even made the appointment. The lady Kaitlin told me $57 for them to come out and then with the thermostat it would be around $150 total. They get here and then say no it's 95 to even look at it and the thermostat will be around 300! Mind you we cancelled all the other appointments because she quoted me a price i could afford! They bait and switched me knowing that they waited until the very last minute to come out here. They even tried saying I cursed out the technician when all I did was start crying when I spoke. I even apologized for crying and said I'm not trying to cry I am just pregnant and can't hold back tears. I would stay far far away from this company. I will be submitting a bbb report and a fcc report since they feel like screwing over a pregnant woman. They said they recorded me in my own home without my consent and lied to the BBB and claimed I told the tech to get the F out of my house. Where are these recordings you say you have of me that I didn't consent to? You have the calls recorded and you won't pull them to confirm that Kaitlin purposely told me the wrong pricing. It was the third company that I scheduled in the first one that showed up and they showed up on time and they told me when they were going to be there and called with great customer service. This business came out to fix one unit of the house. They upsold a cleaning on both units to prevent damage to the other unit. However, they broke the second unit and assumed no responsibility for the damage during the cleaning. Pete came out to conduct "annual" cleaning of the furnace. During the cleaning, he found the ignition switch was not up to standard and told me it would need to be changed out soon. He gave me the option of wait until it went out completely or just change it out now. He would not charge me a service fee to change it out then. I went ahead and had it changed out so I would not have to worry about it. While he was here, we talked about how part of our house is colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. He looked everything over and suggested installing a return vent in each of the bedrooms with the temperature differences. He crawled all over the attic to determine he could not got to the area needed in one of the bedrooms to install the return. After calling me back with a quote, I had him come out and install a return vent in one of the bedrooms. Nice, professional, and a neat work inside the house. read more

Pete was out the other day to give my ancient furnace a fall check up and change the filter. He was very professional, neat and personable, we discussed about how long my furnace will last and what my energy bills were. He gave me a couple of ballpark figures for replacing the furnace and AC unit. Prices included labor, etc. The AC unit is probably as old as the furnace. He also made sure that I had a working carbon monoxide unit in my home. He did note that the bottom of the unit was starting to rust - its on a dirt floor in my (Stephen King) cellar. I got home from work one day to a house that felt warm. It was. It was 80 in the house despite the thermostat being set to 75. I called Dr. P.'s HVAC the following morning, and Pete came later that day. He delivered the bad news: I had a significant freon leak, and while I could consider repair, I would be better served by replacing the AC part of my dual-fuel HVAC system. Before leaving, Pete refilled the freon, and after leaving, he kept in touch with me to make sure my house stayed comfortable through today, when he could put the replacement on his regular schedule.
