Will is, without a doubt, the kindest, most honest, and most patient person I've ever done business with for home repairs. From the very beginning, he took the time to listen, answer my questions thoroughly, and explain things that no other company took the time to explain. Last summer, I was told I needed to replace my HVAC system before this summer because it uses R-22. Naturally, that was stressful and felt like a huge unexpected expense. When Will came out, he carefully inspected the system and then walked me through the facts. He explained that as long as the unit is working properly, there's no need to replace it just because it uses R-22. He also clarified that refrigerant doesn't need to be added unless there's a leak (contrary to what I had previously been told about it needing regular refills). After having a really bad experience with a well known company we shall say sounds like Dexter, trying to scam us by saying we needed an entire new furnace which would cost $14,000 we got a second opinion from Will at ASCS. Thank you to my fellow Yelp Elites for posting about this company and its owner. I didn't have a need at the time but bookmarked it. Over the holiday break and the winter temps of under 20 degrees that problem came. Our pilot light wouldn't remain lit and temps in the house plummeted 25 degrees in less than two hours. With no one to assist due to weather and Christmas breaks we slept in three layers of clothes under multiple blankets. Sleeping in a house barely at 40 degrees was tough. Thankfully my husband made the decision to remove and clean a couple of parts to get the furnace to cooperate. We later called William to service our unit and note issues or repairs. He stays fairly busy so if you call and don't hear back right away, keep the faith! He's worth waiting for a call back. William visited us later in the day and after spending time evaluating our furnace as well as the intake located outside. He encouraged my husband to walk around with him and learn how the furnace operated and how to keep it clean. He gave us a gold star and said that while our unit is very old that it's in great shape. He found one part that needed to be removed and cleaned, and suspected that had not occurred with our previous services. When we asked about getting on an annual plan he suggested that we pass (that it wouldn't provide us savings) and to instead call him as needed or in the summer to service our A/C. I can't say enough good things about Will. He has serviced our A/C system twice. Both times he has been knowledgable, diligent, and professional. He's very good at communicating not only the problem we had with the 20 year old unit (freon leak) but also the options to repair or replace. We had a transistor in our air handler outside go out and we called Will after several recommendations. Will and his company are the best in the HVAC business. I have a home warranty contract and had them send their vendor (who shall remain nameless for legal reasons) to diagnose my problem. When they were done, I could wait for them to order a part which would take three to five weeks (no cost, but the part had to be custom made since my furnace is so old) or I could purchase a new furnace from them for 6K, which they strongly suggested. I could get the furnace installed in one day. Mine you this is one of the coldest weeks of 2025. My niece recommended Will, because he had recently done work for her and she couldn't stop singing his praises. Now I know why. I have Cinch insurance. Called Saturday morning and Monday morning and left a message for an appointment. They never called back. Terrible company. If you need service on you air conditioner within the next 2 weeks don't call them. Had to get Cinch to find another provider. This my 2nd run in with this company. Awesome! I had an ac issue and 30 minutes after calling on a Saturday Will was at my house (I'm pretty sure that's mostly luck) and had answers for me quickly. It wasn't just a "your motor is broken and I'll sell you a new one," he took a little extra time to show how he diagnosed the problem. Then he gave me options of oem and aftermarket motors to save some money. My problems ended up being bigger than what we thought. Again, Will explained what the problem was and how he came to that conclusion. The final bill ended up being about double what was originally quoted but thanks to the careful explanations of all the problems, I'm confident in saying I got exactly what I needed, nothing I didn't, and don't in the least bit feel taken advantage of. There's a reason ASCS has so many 5-star reviews and leads the Yelp charts! Our air conditioner recently went out and we began looking for solutions. We got an opinion from Jarboe's and they said we would need to replace our unit (which is only 8 years old) for around $3500. Thankfully, I went to Yelp in search of a second opinion and came across the highly-rated ASCS. Will came out to our house around 6:30pm the same day we called. He was professional, hard-working, and looked for a couple of diagnoses for our problem. Ultimately, he found two leaks that had emptied our refrigerant. He showed us the leaks, walked us through the solution, and reassured us that we would not need to replace the unit. He repaired the leaks, filled it with refrigerant, cleaned the outer coils (which were filthy, whoops!) and reset the unit. The vents started blowing cold air again, and for only 1/5 of what we would've paid without finding Will! He stayed until around 9:00pm to ensure that we would have cool air for the night, explained everything he did in his invoice (which he emailed to us), and even took the Yelp discount deal off our bill even though we had overlooked it! I can't recommend ASCS highly enough. Every time something goes wrong in the house, it feels like the start of a complicated, expensive process of working with different services over the course of a few days. Our AC died at the warmth of a Labor Day weekend. The following days we schedule a repair visit and Will was able to come to take a look at our unit. Unfortunately, after several attempts to re-start the compressor it was diagnosed that my old unit needed to be replaced. Will quickly sent to us different quotes and options that we are currently evaluating. We also got second opinions regarding our unit from other companies which also diagnosed the same.
