I went for a regular cleaning.. was told I had to fix some teeth. So I did, whatever she put in there kept on coming off. So i had to go back so she can fix it again. Then she said she had to remove a different tooth because my bone above was cracked and I was just so confused. I went for a second opinion, who told me I didn't need any of that and finally fixed the stuff she put in my other teeth. When I went to get my cleaning in January I was told I had a balance and I had to pay upfront for my cleaning, I explained my insurance covers my cleaning but they refused to do my cleaning unless I paid first. I asked to please be billed because of the mistakes they made in the past but no luck. In regards to my balance, the office sent the bills again to my insurance and the office manager agreed I should have not paid so much out of pocket and that they owed me money. I tried for 7 months to get my money back and I was just informed this week that Dr. Q sold her office in Kendall and the new owner is not taking responsibility. My cleanings were good, staff was professional but unfortunately Dr. Quintana's administration office did not know how to bill my insurance and Dr. Q took no responsibility. read more

I read the reviews and after buying a house in the neighborhood decided to change to a closer dentist than the coral gables location I previously attended. I was impressed by the offices cleanliness and modern updates. I was able to make an appointment for my daughter and myself with ease. Provided all my insurance information and expected for it to be verified in advance. I found out the day of my appointment that it was not. It was very busy when I arrived with phone calls. Dr Q was not there and I had an appointment for a routine cleaning. The dental hygienist must have just started I had never had an experience where they grazed my gums with the dental drill. She also went over my lower tooth making it feel jagged. I was told I probably had a cavity which I didn't believe. The hygienist said the doctor would review and let me know but still haven't heard anything. My appointment was a few days ago. I couldn't believe the cleaning experience and asked my daughter which had an appointment after mine how her experience went and she said the hygienist hurt her too. read more

Where do i start... I'm new to the area and switched dentist because my dentist was in Hialeah and I was now living in Kendall. I had a check up and cleaning and overall it went well. Dr Q even complimented my skin. She said i had great skin. I thought to myself, seems like a good place. Well 6/28 comes around and i had to go in to see her unexpectedly because over the weekend a molar cracked. I was NOT in pain or feeling any discomfort but obviously had to get it fixed. 1st of all. Dr Q wanted to charge me the complete total up front for crown which I did not understand why. That has never been the case anywhere else I have gone. She claimed that insurances tend to deny crowns and if they approved it she would reimburse me. Luckily I talked her into allowing me to pay half. She begins to work on prepping me for crown and several times states my mouth is too small. Never heard that one either. Places this gadget to keep my tongue from getting in the way. Later her assistant places temp crown but while she is doing that she's talking to another co worker about a new TV and how many inches and I'm thinking its only my mouth she is working on. Anyways, I go home and felt discomfort that night, pain and discomfort the following day, and the following. Finally decided to call them and let them know and I went back in. Dr Q checked me and i told her i was in pain but she put some air on my temp crown and when i jumped she said oh thats the problem and asked her assistant to seal it with whatever cement substance they use. Mind you assistant and coworkers back with their personal conversations that i really didn't need to be part of. So i go home and OMG i had the worse night ever. I was taking 2x625 tylenols plus 2x200 Advils every 4 to 6 hours. I was in excruciating pain. I called the office Saturday morning and left a message because thats what it said to do if i had an emergency, so i did. Needless to say no one ever called me back. Well i was this way all of Saturday, Sunday, Monday (4th of July). Finally i decided i was not going back to Dr Q and went back to my old dentist in Hialeah. The best ever by the way! It turns out my root was dead which is like necrosis of a toe and i had to have a root canal and am currently taking antibiotics. Funny thing is my root was just fine according to Dr Q so something must have happened during the prep to kill my root. Anyways, following my root canal with Dr Garcia (best dentist ever) i got home and did not experience any pain. I did not have to take anymore pain killers. Before i got home i did go to see Dr Q to let her know how my weekend was in excruciating pain but she was too busy with veneers and i was told she would call me back. Oh and before i forget, when i walked in the front desk girl said at 1:00pm hours after they opened, oh i was just about to call you because i got your message. Three days later. Really? Dr Q called me back and i told her everything i went through and what Dr Garcia told me had happened which she said couldn't be true. She also said that she would not proceed with my treatment at my request but refused to refund me for any of the money i paid her. Also, submitted claim to insurance which i had to call and let them know everything that happened so that they dont pay her their portion. A tells them that the work was completed and the crown was ready. When did the crown get done? Because when i spoke to her the day before she never said it was ready. All of sudden its ready. Bottom line. I do not recommend her. I've had the worst dental experience in my 48 years of life. Oh and left 1 star because i couldn't post review without choosing a star. Oh and if you need to charge the work because you don't have cash on hand or in bank get ready to pay 3% above cost. Just letting you know. read more

I received the worst service from the entire staff, especially Jackie. I spent $10,000 on having veneers done and five months after having them put in one of my crowns that they installed popped out. They told me that all the dental work they were doing was going to be guaranteed for one year, they lied to go and have that crown repaired. They wanted to charge me another $5000 and made me wait for a month before they would even see me with a broken tooth in my mouth. This is one of my front teeth I never would've had any of my work done there if I would've known that the service was so horrible and the work, I'm at another dentist now having all of their work redone save yourself the money and start off by going somewhere else. read more

Dr. Quintana is an exceptional dentist! She is gentle and caring. From the moment I walked in I felt so comfortable. I went in for Botox injections as a preventive measure. She explained every step of the procedure in detail. I was very nervous at first but Dr Q put me at ease. The Botox/ injection was painless! Not only was it painless but the results are amazing! I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at Dr Q's office. I scheduled a cleaning and after completing all the paperwork and waiting 20 minutes, the office staff says,"Did I tell you about the COVID antibody test? It's $30." And of course she had not informed me about the test nor that it would cost $30. I called my insurance company and was informed that they should have processed it as a claim and not charged me for it. I was also informed that the usual charge for this test is $15-20. I am appalled that at a time of such hardship for the community that this dentist is taking advantage of people. read more
