After my dentist retired, we had a little global pandemic, and then things got busy and ... in 2026 I brought them a mouth some California dentists wouldn't touch without hundreds of dollars in X-ray and lab fees up front. Then wouldn't touch. ​ In two days of care, they replaced a complex crown, did four quadrants of deep cleaning, and filled an embarrassing number of cavities. I paid about two and a half Gs for what I was quoted elsewhere for between $6K and $10K. This is dental work under local anesthesia, so some pain from numbing is expected. They have a deal with a chain hotel in easy walking distance that has an included breakfast with soft foods and a UV water dispenser on every floor. From my initial contact on WhatsApp, to their offer to Uber me to the office, to patient intake and detailed assessment including head CTs (!), 3D modeling (!!!), photography of teeth and individual tooth x-rays, and the competence of the clinical team... I don't believe this level of dental care is available in Estados Unidos. If I have a friend who needs dental care, I will cheerfully refer them here. Note: WhatsApp and Uber are essential tools in Tijuana.​

I was looking through my insurance website trying to find another periodontist to get a second opinion and saw ADC listed in Tijuana. Knowing that my insurance company would not have a shady outfit approved on their network, I contacted ADC and made an appointment. I have had fillings and minor dental work done in Mexico over the years, but was nervous about having actual surgery down there. I shouldn't have worried - the facilities at ADC were cleaner and more modern than any dentist in the USA. All the instruments came right out of sterile autoclave packets and the imaging equipment was state of the art. There is a paid parking lot next door. Dr. Ahumada was a joy to work with - very knowledgeable and professional. The surgery sucked, but she made it as comfortable as she could. The receptionist speaks good English. My out of pocket expenses, including a trip to the pharmacy was under $700. ADC saved me $500 and Dr. Ahumada could not be beat. Very highly recommended.

When the dentist installed them, everything was done so quickly that I wasn't given a chance to really look at them before the appointment was over. I told him they looked crooked, but he insisted they were fine. On the way out you pay for parking with for the allotted time you were there. The grocery store and other little stores are on the first floor and a lot of clinics/dentist offices are on the second floor. Once you get to the second floor, there'll be someone at the main door asking you to check in and that really just states your name and how many people are with you and what office you're going to. There is a staircase, and there is an elevator to get to the second floor. The office is small but very clean but unfortunately in Mexico, what happens sometimes is that the running water stops working and you cannot use the restroom since there is no water to flush the toilet. The two girls at the front are really nice and are really inviting. Feel free to ask them any questions you have. Dr Yasmin introduced herself and she was very lovely and she is the person who did my cleaning and my teeth whitening. She was very lovely as well and she kept asking me if I was OK and was very attentive. So what happens first is that the doctor will check you out and make sure that the items you requested can actually happen that day and then someone comes and gives you a quote and if you would like to continue, you sign the quote and then the work is started. It was my very first time doing a teeth whitening, and while she was doing it, it did not hurt at all, but I did experience some teeth sensitivity around an hour later. The teeth whitening is four sessions of 15 minutes under some sort of lamp on your teeth. It is a small quaint clean office. I would definitely go back.
