Dr Green is very special. She is medically proficient and couples that with a tremendous sense of empathy and focus on listening to her patients' needs. OMG, no waiting! I had my first appointment with Dr. Green today. I got there 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out the paperwork and a couple minutes after the hour, I was in the little room that they take you too. This part I dread because not only are you waiting another long period of time.... naked, you no longer are treated to magazines. NOT here! I barely sat down and the doctor was already there to see me. She was really nice, made me feel comfortable (see Rachael W's review) and really talked to me like a person. read more

Dr. Green has been my primary doctor for the past 4 years. This past year I was going to the doctor frequently and she was so helpful, took the time to really listen to my concerns and questions, and was open to continue trying other options if the first option didn't work. She allowed my husband to participate in a visit when I needed extra support and included him in my care. She also made several referrals for diagnostic testing. Her front office staff is very nice and has been able to squeeze me in for last minute appointments when necessary, but I am frequently seen within 3 weeks for routine appointments. If Dr. Green isn't available, I am always offered the opportunity to see Dr. Koseff who shares the practice and is also a very kind and competent doctor. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Green since April, and due to quite a few health issues, I've been in there alot. I love Dr. Green. She is very kind and takes the time to answer all my questions about what's going on with me and my treatment. She makes me feel comfortable and overall, is just a great doctor. I've never experienced any of the issues with the office staff that others have mentioned. Everyone I've spoken to has been pleasant, definetely not rude. Often enough, I can get an appointment to see Dr. Green within a few days. The most I've had to wait to see the doctor is half an hour, which is pretty typical for most doctor's offices. But there are times when I show up 10-15 minutes early for a morning appointment, and I'm out of there five minutes past my scheduled appointment time. I always get phone calls to remind me of my appointment and they call me back with answers to questions I have. There is one nurse in paticular who remembers me, asks me how I'm doing with certain issues and chats with me. I'm definetely not a fan of going to the doctor's, with Dr. Green and her staff, it's relatively painless. read more

When I first moved to Long Beach, I had a different doctor. I don't even care to remember her name after she left me in the room, prepped and ready for my pap, to answer her cell phone. She left me there for 10 minutes. Not cool. Then I searched around and asked around for a new different doctor and I found Dr. Green. When I first met her I told her why I left my previous Dr. and asked her if she had a habit of answering her cell phone during an exam, especially if the patient was already prepped for a pap. When I related to her what happened, she laughed and was quite put off that a doctor would do that. It's one thing if the doctor has a family emergency or one with a patient currently in hospital, but after having prepped a patient for a pap exam, not cool. I adore her and her partner, Dr. Koseff. They're both very personable. I've always found the office staff/nurses to be very friendly and helpful. If some have found them less than, maybe it's how you're feeling and not how they're behaving. I'm one of the most impatient people in the world and the ladies in the front office (most of them are all nurses btw) have never come across as rude to me. The waiting to see Dr. Green is no worse than waiting to see any other doctor I've seen over the years. I recently had a health scare that I needed to be scene immediately for. I didn't get the run around after I called a second time and explained to the nurse I spoke to that I needed to see Dr. Green immediately. It was something I didn't want to 'wait' to see her in a couple of days. I got in the next day and she made sure I got other testing to ensure that this health scare got taken care of immediately, considering the family history of this disease. read more

I'm so glad I looked up reviews on Yelp to find a new Primary Care Physician after we moved -- Dr. Green was really fantastic, and I don't say that lightly. I loathe and fear doctors, and medicine in general, and usually wait as many months or years between visits as possible. Dr. Green was friendly, thorough and casual. I didn't spend the majority of the appointment with a nurse practitioner, which seems to be the direction a lot of doctor's offices are going anymore. She didn't make me feel rushed in the slightest. I was able to ask all of the questions I had and run through quite a list of referrals and things I needed to get done, since I haven't had a PCP in quite a few years. And on top of all of that, she had no problem with me bringing my spouse to my appointment (it helps with the nerves I get with medical stuff), and she was LGBT-friendly (for those to whom that matters). On the topic of her office staff, they were also friendly and helpful. I had little trouble making an appointment and although I did wait once I was there, that's par for the course for doctors these days. Plus, it wasn't an unreasonable amount of time. I could write a long review with all the details but let it suffice to say that the other lackluster reviews are harmonious to my experience. I arrived in excrutiating pain barely able to walk. I specifically researched female Doctors ( a personal preference based on lifetime of experience ) I was fobbed off to a Dr. Koseff a male. I wasn't happy about that but excepted it. I arrived an hour early for my appointment & despite only 2 other patients in building , my appointment still ran 20 minutes late. I knew I was in trouble when the Dr. entered office & didn't bother to shake hands. After briefly explaining my problem , he told me he couldn't do anything for me & referred me to a Pain Management Facility. I got tthe impression Dr. Koseff thought I was some sort of addict trying to procure prescriptions, even though all I wanted was anti-inflammatory medications. I painfully hobbled out of the office to go to the referred place & was shocked to find out they don't accept patients paying cash. I called Green's office to inform them & they referred me to another office that is apparently no longer in business. In general I found the office staff brusque & disconnected from any genuine concern for my well being. The 2 friends that referred me to Green's office pre-warned me about the office staff demeanor but assured me Green was great, unfortunately I will never know. The only positive is that they refunded me the 125$ office visit fee. Luckily I ended up finding a really great Dr. & office team that took amazing care of me. Im back on my feet & at work again & not in danger of losing my job. I highly recommend Urgent Care Plus on Ocean Avenue , Dr. Roy is smart & efficient & her staff are genuinely kind & effusively positive people. read more

Unfortunately she hasn't always been available at the times I needed an appointment and so I started to look around for a different primary care physician. Recently, I have been able to see Dr. Stephanie Green and was reminded how much I like her. First, she remembers me, rare in today's busy practices. Dr. Green and her staff are outstanding. I usually feel like just another number when I go for a doctor's visit. My experience at Dr. Green's office was the complete opposite. The level of care and compassion I received at her office was above and beyond. Dr. Green takes time to sit and talk to you regarding any issues you may have. I didn't have to wait long in the lobby, or in the dreaded 'little room'. I felt completely at ease just moments after meeting the Doctor. Her bedside manner is impeccable. Dr. Green is really nice, best Dr. I had in a long time. But the billing department sucks. It take them 90 days for a refund. And in the Office I had to pay for the Mirena (IUD) up front. And they charged me more then the allowed amount. But still Dr. Green is really good and I would always recommend her. Just be careful what you pay ! read more

I was looking for a reliable and caring primary care physician in the Long Beach area and I came across this office. I thought my research and patience paid off but unfortunately I was wrong. I saw Dr. Koseff and he seemed so preoccupied with something else. He barely made eye contact nor let me finish my questions I had. I attempted to ask him how or why my condition was happening and he replied with "It just does". So that sucked. He wrote me a prescription and he also wanted me to go get blood taken and sent me to the receptionist. I told the woman that I didn't have my prescription and she sounded annoyed and said he sent it to the pharmacy already. Their computer was down so NO he didn't. Then he wizzed by and dropped it at the counter I was standing at. Then I asked her where I need to go get blood taken and she gave me a pamphlet and said look in here and pick one. Being new to the area she didn't attempt to point me in the right direction. Basically I felt like I was on my own and I will not be returning. read more

Just like many other reviewers before me, I think that Dr. Green is an incredible doctor - friendly, comforting, easy-going, and respectful. However, her office staff is AWFUL; possibly the rudest, slowest, most thoughtless, and most disrespectful customer service providers that I have every encountered (or rather, repeatedly subjected myself to). Every time that I speak to them on the phone they are condescending and incompetent, and I have never been seen for my appointment less than 40 minutes behind schedule (in spite of always arriving early). Several times the arrogant nurse that schedules appointments has tried to diagnose me over the phone, and her advise has never been in line with Dr. Green's sound medical directive. It should speak volumes about Dr. Green that I am still willing to submit to the staff's treatment, but I really wish that she would fire them all and rehire. read more

While I liked Dr. Green herself - she took the time on my first visit to go through all my list of questions - her office staff is less than desirable. I called this morning because I was in rear-ended yesterday, and although I thought I was fine when I woke up today I have symptoms indicating I might have whiplash, a mild concussion, or both. I called the office to find out what they recommend - should I go see them, or would they refer me to an urgent care, or what? Instead of focusing on my condition, they were only concerned with whether or not the car accident was reported to the police, and to explain to me they don't normally deal with car accident injuries. I spent several minutes explaining the situation and that I just wanted to know - should I see someone, and if so who? I finally had to ask the lady on the phone what she would tell me had it not been a car accident, if I had just fallen and hit my head or something, would they then tell me to get seen right away or wait a few days and see if it clears up on its own? I finally hung up in disgust never actually getting an answer, so now I guess i'm going to trek to an urgent care just to make sure my injuries are minor as I believe, and not serious. This is completely ridiculous behavior for a family practice, and although as I said I like Dr. Green herself I'll be changing doctors immediately. read more

Very sweet and personable, and I had no problem with the receptionists or any other staff at the office, they were all really nice. Have sent two other people to her since my first visit, one male and one female, and both of them loved her as well. Dr. Green is the best doctor. Sure there's sometimes a wait, but I always take the last appt of the day so that is to be expected. She is worth the wait though. She is very sweet, personable, caring, and is genuinely concerned about her patients. She is also very fast in doing a pap, which is REALLY appreciated. She talks to me about me being on the fence on whether or not to have kids, and I find her advice and outlook on her own family helpful. Before she leaves the room she'll ask a couple times if I have any questions, and she obviously wants to make sure I am confortable before she leaves. I appreciate her willingness to take a couple extra minutes in order to talk to her patients like a friend. read more

First time patient everyone forming the front office to admitting nurse to the physician assist were all very nice and welcoming. Tried to get appointment with dr green but she's booked up forever so opted for appt with her PA. Only complaint is I would prefer to begin a patient Doctor relationship from the beginning as I had some pressing issues that I explained to the PA but she just shrugged it off as stress and only focused on my Pap smear. Sent me off with battery of orders for blood work and ultrasound. Told me to come back in 6 weeks but was told they can't book that far out and to call back. I am willing to give a 2nd chance because they were quick and efficient and friendly just wish that getting to see the actual Doctor is not next to impossible. Dr green if you are reading this I would like to be able to see you next visit. Other than that you all are great despite those bad reviews from others read more

This is my second review. I was very disappointed with my first visit. Long waits, rude receptionist, and an inconsiderate doctor. I thought maybe everyone was just having one of those days, NOPE! I just visited a year later, and the receptionists were still rude, and the doctor didn't even show up at the appointment time. It's pathetic that these people still have customers. Referred to Dr Green via insurance Network coverage, etc, as my previous Dr had retired, and from the moment I stepped in to the lobby to the time i left the visit, I had a super time. The entire office staff was courteous, personable, and efficient. And Dr Green was even better, taking the time to thoroughly listen to my issues, and provide complete responses to each and every one of them. Any hesitation I may have had in visiting a new Dr was mute; this visit was a good as I could POSSIBLY have desired. I saw Dr. Koseff first who shares the same office. I didn't care for him. I started talking with Dr. Green while making a second appointment for Dr. Koseff I think. I ended up in tears after seeing Dr. Koseff my 2nd time afterwards. I made an appointment to see Dr. Green and have been very happy (over 2 years ago). She can get backed up but to me she's worth the wait. She's super sweet, kind, caring and very easy to talk about medical stuff if need be. She shakes your hand too. You get personal care from her vs my 5 minutes is up, time to move onto the next patient type fof thing. She referred me to a great endocrinologist as some of my issues are out of her league. I was having problems finding an endocrinologist that I liked. She solved this for me. I use her as my gp and for women stuff too. Best of both worlds is how I see it. :) Fay, her nurse, is really sweet too. See her but do expect a wait to get into a room then another short wait for her to come into see you. You won't find a better doctor than her especially for yearly women check ups. read more
