Minimal wait time, comprehensive exam from Dr. Viviani with the latest equipment, and beautiful, well made strong frames and lenses. My children and I have also had several emergencies, through the years, and Dr. Viviani fit us into her busy schedule. True professionals from the receptionist, optician and doctor. The Dr and staff were very professional. The glasses are awful. The lenses scratch easily and never stay clean. The prescription was wrong and had to go back. I was on Medicaid and after my exam and all was said and done I was hit for $1500.00 and 3 months later another bill for $1300.. WTF. read more

What a great experience! Dr. Viviani does a wonderful job explaining the health and eye test results. Very happy to see the wide selection of lenses they offer in house as well! I knew they had a reputation for being expensive, but this was beyond my imagination. The medical staff, including Dr. Viviani, were all kind & professional. The medical portion of my visit was mostly paid by my insurance, no issue there. It was the first and only time in any optical office that I had to specifically request and sign a release for the prescription I had already paid for. Regardless, I'd give that part of the visit 4 stars. My "surprise" was upfront with Maria, as mentioned by other reviewers. It felt like the prices she quoted were made up on the spot. In my estimate she pulls the rest of the office down though she is probably their profit center and a long-time employee. I'll go back for exams but will not again deal with Maria. Pros: Dr Laraine Viviani is a caring, personal and thorough optometrist. She explains everything thoroughly. The receptionist Diane does an excellent job keeping the office running smoothly. Valentina the optician is always helpful in making sure glasses fit properly. First Time I ever visited with Dr. Viviani. I was long overdue for Eye Exam and need say. Her staff was excellent, polite,professional, and informative. Pleasant experience from start to finish. I was a 1st time patient in need of a medical appointment and Dr. Viviani agreed to see me same day. The registration process was painless, Dr. Viviani diagnosed the issue immediately and prescribed treatment. Follow up appointment went equally as smooth a week later. I was long overdue for routine eye care exams which were performed efficiently as I was on a lunch hour from work. I knew I would benefit from reading glasses and Maria's professional recommendations based upon my coloring and shape of face took the stress out of picking new frames. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Avoid! Maria the eyewear specialist single handily made our experience horrible and took no responsibility while my 8 year old son had cut up ears and was in severe pain from his glasses we purchased from this office. We got glasses that were cutting up his ear; they made a temporary solution (which was glasses falling off his face - which we though we could deal with for a few days) and they told us to come back as the rep was bringing in new glasses 2 days later. Then 2 days later, we brought our son back as we were told. Maria states we needed an appointment and there is no glasses delivered "they'd be sometime next week." Maria completely dismissed all of what occurred all while my 8 yo son is hysterical crying with cut up ears and glasses that don't fit. A very simple, professional courtesy call that there was no glasses and a check in of how our son was doing with the temporary glasses - would have avoided not only a trip but tears and pain for my 8 yo son. My ex had made the trip (he does not live close). Additionally, when speaking with Maria she stated the office was closing. I asked to speak with Dr. Viviani my information was taken for a call back, and my ex and I (both on the call) were then hung up on by Maria. I am glad I was quick enough to record the entire conversation. I await to hear back from Dr. Viviani, whom I am told is in charge of the entire facility. read more

I get peace of mind knowing my eye health is in expert hands, and I leave looking so fashionable in my new eye wear! I'm not a first-time customer. The office refused to release my RX prescription for glasses because they didn't accept my 10.00 co-payment in the form of a credit card. I was told there was a $10 minimum for credit cards. They said it was an office policy that was not visible anywhere in the office, or on the paperwork I signed. I politely said I was not aware of that and would gladly mail them a check. I was astonished when I would told they would not release my RX for glasses until they received the 10.00 co-payment. Can you believe this! My VSP vision plan paid for most of the visit except the co-payment. The office never advise me when I confirmed my appointment that co-payments under 10.00 was to be made in the form of cash or check. I would think it is unethical or against the law to withhold my RX. Especially since they billed my VSP insurance plan... Although the Dr. Vivian is an excellent doctor, caring and sweet. I will not be returning to the office. I'm was embarrassed, humiliated and modified. My opinion is the receptionist is rude, snappy and need to take an interpersonal skills class. My RX prescription is being held hostage for $10.00. read more

Came here after needing a new contact rx for Hubble contacts. This is the first eye care facility I feel I was treated personally by everyone working there. Very clean and professional place, lots of variety for glasses. Went in for an updated contact rx and was guided about properly fitting contacts. Even better, it was given with a great rebate. My family and I have been coming to the Vivianis for ever. My parents used to see Laraine's father before he retired, but now we all see her. She's sort of like family. Everyone in the office is so sweet and helpful. I always feel like I'm in good hands. They're quick and efficient when it comes to getting new frames/lenses and I've always found them to be honest when it comes to opinions on frames. I wish I had checked Yelp before subjecting myself and my son to the disgusting experience we just had. We went for a contact lens exam and fitting. From the moment we walked in for our appointment each staff member was more obnoxious than the next. The attitude was unreal. The receptionist was beyond rude and too lazy to call my insurance to get some info so I had to disturb my sons father at work. When I told her I couldn't get it she then begrudgingly called. We finally were seen at 4:00 for our 3:00 appointment. No one seemed to give a damn about making my 12 year old son comfortable and went through the motions of his exam like robots. When it came time for the "doctor" to fit my son for his contact lenses she was so incredibly rough, jamming her fingers into his eyes. As a lens wearer I have always known optometrists to allow the patient to experiment themselves. When I suggested that he try himself she spoke down to me and told my son he clearly wasn't ready for lenses. Needless to say I took my prescription and we will now go somewhere with doctors who actually care about their patients. Hopefully he can get over how awful she made his first experience. Unfortunately only Dr Viviani is the only nice person, the rest of the staff is unfriendly and unwilling to help.. Everything is a rip off your insurance wont be able to help you there...They want to charge for everything thats possible and more. I paid for my trials that didn't work and they wanted to charge me even more for a refitting .... On top of that my eye exam that is supposed to get covered by insurance ended up costing me money somehow... Almost like a scam... Don't go there... read more

Dr. Viviani is wonderful and quite helpful. My son tried contacts and I loved that she and her staff spent time with him until he felt comfortable. Once he could put them in by himself we ordered them.I didn't feel pressured or rushed and he had some trouble at first but they were very patient.
