Patients BEWARE OF health insurance fraud!!! Went to the eye doctor for eye exam, waited 45 mins to see Dr Yoos along with office manager (what other eye doctor has the office mgr come into your exam???), very weird. I just inquired about better contacts when he looked at my eye and said I have an eye infection and would not see me till he gets back from vacation for eye exam and bills me $155 for medical exam. Oddly I didn't have any symptoms from any eye infection and even saw my PCP recently. Yet Dr. Yoos and his team pulls this stunt to get more money from patients from their medical insurance. Isn't this considered health care fraud??? They think they can charge me a fraudulent medical bill when all I wanted was an eye exam that is covered by my eye plan coverage. Well, Dr Yoos and your team are so wrong and I will let others know of this scam! read more

Phenomenal service. If I could award more than 5 stars I would. Just moved to Bella Vista, was in need of a new eye doctor. Receptionists were prompt to greet and help us upon walking in, great sitting area btw, got seated and swiftly met with the Optician, Jeff. Wanted a quote on a new prescription to swap the lenses on some of my fathers glasses, my father is a disabled vet and does not have health insurance, Jeff was willing to work with us on price. He was able to swap one pair of lenses immediately and then had my father try them- the VA gave my father the wrong prescription. Doctor Yoo himself was so kind as to take care of my father and get him an immediate exam and new prescription, no charge. We just paid for the new lenses and frame. I was in shock and emotional from their kindness. They have gained new customers for life, cannot recommend this business enough. Went for an eye exam. Afterwards asked for my pupil distance (PD) in addition to my prescription. I didn't specify why, but I wanted it in case I wanted to order some glasses from Warby Parker or similar site. Dr. Yoos accused me of supporting child labor if I purchase glasses from an online discount site and didn't want to provide me with my PD. He made me very uncomfortable. I will never go back there. read more

I've used Dr Yoos for my eye exams and glasses since moving to NWA. He and his staff are friendly and the front administration is incredibly efficient and helpful when it comes to insurance as well as check ins and pick ups. In mid Dec 2019 Dr Yoos saw an abnormality on a test and scheduled me in the next week so run another test. He explained what he saw, why it could be a test error, and what he'd be looking for in the new results/pictures. Thankfully it didn't appear in the second round of tests and I was on my way. I appreciate his talking me through what he saw, I actually got to ask questions instead of having the doctor just run in and out, informally. I highly recommend him to work with seniors, families, or new NWA transplants. read more

I've been going to Dr. Yoos for years and know a lot of the staff personally. Each time i go i'm treated very well, the wait isn't bad, and Dr. Yoos always remembers me. Usually folks get forgotten if it's just one of those turn them out insurance mooches, but Dr. Yoos provided me good service. I had my eye exam and got new lenses for my glasses, they took time and made sure to take care that everything fit right. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and I've been to doctors in Florida and Arkansas years ago. He treats you well and is always personable. read more

I took my prescription for glasses to the optical section of Dr. Yoos because I had a credit with them. It turned out that I had $177.00 credit. That was on September 2, 2022. I finally got the correct lenses on Monday, October 3, 2022. In their first attempt their technicians reversed the prescription I was so disappointed as the lenses were completely wrong. No apologies were forthcoming. No discount. Today, after one month I finally received the correct lenses again with no apologies for their mistake or no offer to discount my expense. I was very disappointed in the poor in their service and expertise. read more

$395 for simple lenses and $395 for frames. I also brought my old frames to have new lenses. $1200 plus. Today I went to pick up my glasses and I had to call from the parking lot because of Covid. OK no problem. I was asked to meet someone at the front door to pick up. Woman came out with what looked like a small box (turned out to be her plastic tray) with my glasses, glass cleaner and 2 glass wipes. She then asked me where my mask was and I said it's in my truck but I'm standing outside, in the rain by the way. I then said can I just take the box and go? she said what box? So I'll just carry $1200 worth of eye glasses in my hands and hope I don't scratch them. Fine. Can I have my glasses and go? she says "don't you want me to fit them"? I said "here in the rain"? Shall I hold your tray? WTH? $1200 bucks, standing in the rain and you want to fit my glasses here and know where my mask is? I see my receipt in her tray and I ask for it and she says it's not mine but she can print me one. No thanks, I've had more than enough. During my eye test where they puff air into your eye I kept blinking. The woman doing the test said don't blink, don't blink, don't blink ah good. Now the other eye don't blink, don't blink, don't blink about 8 times. Finally I said does that usually work telling people not to blink because I believe this is a natural body reflex. She says yeah, it always works. I wish I had checked here first. Obviously a history of poor service. Overall rude, unorganized and expensive. read more

I called Dr. Yoos directly to discuss charges of a 90.00 fitting fee that was not discussed prior to an exam for contact lenses. He charged the insurance company for the eye exam then said there was an additional fitting fee. Without that being paid he would not order contacts, would not give the prescription so it could be filled elsewhere. He refused to issue a bill allowing payments. I called three other area optometrists who said their fitting fee is included in the exam. There are no additional fees. I shared this information with Dr. Yoos and he told me I didn't ask the right questions and needed to call the optometrists back. Evidently I am too stupid to have a conversation with other eye doctors according to Dr. Yoos. Rude, condescending and completely unprofessional!!! read more

Very friendly staff and the doctor tries to be super personable, however the customer service is awful. The practice is chaotic and disorganized and I have lost count of how many times they have promised me something with zero follow-through. Lots of excuses are lined up, but the real truth seems to be that they overbook and then the patient suffers through excruciatingly long wait times, subpar service, yet all with a "gee, golly! so sorry for your wait, blah, blah, blah". I had to go for 6 visits for a messed up initial exam. Yeah, SIX! Each one was exactly as described above. If you like to spend most of your day at a cluttered old office, get a cheerful fist bump from the doc after a record-breaking wait, and come out with a completely whack prescription that gives you headaches, then this is the place to go. I have been in glasses/contacts for 16 years and I have never experienced any yearly exam fiasco like this. read more
