Checked out this cool and cluttered bar. Draft Bar is located far west on Irving Park. It's for sure a neighborhood tavern. Barely able to know it's here because it's a pretty tiny place, and there's not much reason to come to this area. The prices are pretty cheap and there's always some kind of special. A pretty small bar with a lot of crap crammed into it. It's got all kinds of junk inside and it's not like there was much room to begin with on this place. The beers are the main thing. After all, the word draft is in the name. It's $2 for an Old Style. Has a few good local craft beers. There's a few things they offer like pizza when there's a game. Best thing is the prices on drinks. It's pretty cheap for most beers, and if it's not on draft they have lots more in bottles and cans to choose from. There's not much in the way of food, but there's chips, and they may have pizza for games and whenever. read more

Draft Bar is our neighborhood bar. We had my daughter's graduation party there. Teresa and Mike were beyond accommodating and flexible. They don't serve food but allow you to bring in your own caterer. We had a taco cart service and the front patio was perfect for the set up. The inside was really cute. My guests had a great time mingling, listening to music, or playing one of the many games they had (bag toss, uno, etc.) The covered back patio was also a nice little area with furniture for people to hang out. The service from the bartenders was amazing. They were very friendly and attentive! Thank you very much to you all! We're looking forward to hosting more events there. read more

Husband and I stopped in for the first time to check out BINGO night. WE HAD A BLAST!! I was dazzled by all the light hanging through out the bar! I was told the place is filled with even MORE lights during the holiday season. Will be back to check those out! Our bartender, Daniele was sweet and attentive! First of all WOW! Draft bar decorates wonderfully for the holiday season..... However, the management has absolutely no consideration for any patrons unless those patrons are Lori, the owners sister. Our party of 7 came in around 6:30 pm to play bingo and to enjoy the lovely Christmas decor. We called about a week or so ago and were told a table could be reserved. Part of our group arrived to find our name. At this point we didn't know the name was duplicated. The other reserved patron, a local, abruptly informed us we were sitting in her reserved section. We kindly got up and informed the bartender. Who by the way was working alone in a packed bar and I must say, she definitely handled her self well! She told me this patron called today and it's her table. However, if another table that has a name does not show by the start of Bingo we could all sit. Another group walked in after us, upset that the tables all had names on them. Somehow he was able to get a folding table and chairs set up for him by the games in the back of the bar. Our group ordered a round of drinks and waited by the one table that had yet to have patrons claiming the reserved name (Lori). At this point it's about 7:15Pm and we see the Bingo coordinator arrive. Remember, we were told that once Bingo started, the reservation name no longer applied. Our group then ordered a second round and at about 7:20pm we all sat. The Bingo coordinator came around to take a everyone's money. At 7:30pm She approached our table and informed us that Lori, was on her way with a group of people and we were going to have to get up when they arrived. Naturally, we were all extremely taken back and questioned how this could be. By no means was this woman rude, she followed her comment with "Don't shoot the messenger" and proceeded give us our money back. Someone in our group got up to double check with the bartender who informEd her that Lori was the owners sister and when she got there, we had to move. At this point in time, Bingo had already started. Our group was so taken back by this whole situation we left. We will never come back. But I don't think it matters to Draft bar anyway. read more

Just put $10 in the jukebox on a Saturday at 4:00. The bartender turned it down to a level where you couldn't hear it. I asked is the jukebox frowned on, her reply was two guys are watching the Boston college game. I didn't realize you need an explanation on what's happening in the game. read more

This was my first time coming into this bar. It was really nice and I ended up coming because I saw they have bingo on Tuesday. It was fun playing bingo but ai was put off by the bartender screaming at some of the customers who were trying to play bingo. She started to yell at them and tell them to get the f*ck out and never come back. The bar was full. I felt so bad for these people. I understand that there may have been an issue but to scream at someone in front of a bar full of people and embarrass them is distasteful. As much as I loved coming to bingo I don't think I will come back again if that bartender is working. I don't want to risk getting her upset and getting thrown out in front of everyone. read more

This is an awesome neighborhood bar. You can tell that the bartenders get to know the regulars and have always been super friendly. We did have an issue with our bill when closing out, which was an honest mistake- We were charged for our bill as well as another customer's. Called the bar owner and she was incredibly responsive and kept us updated the entire time. Situation was quickly resolved. It is worth noting that Draft does not have food- it really is only a bar. Bring some cash to stop at Bob-o's on your way home. read more

This is a great neighborhood bar. Its very clean and very down to earth. The wait staff and bartenders are attractive and attentive...and the prices are reasonable. Of course I'm used to downtown prices so any prices under that seem reasonable to me. The only thing I would want them to do is to serve food. They have a food truck outside many nights and they have no problem having you order food in so its not that big of a deal. read more

It seemed like a really cool spot when we were driving down Irving so we decided to stop in and watch the Hawks game. The place is really nicely done, with brick walls, and lots of TVs. They even played the sound during the game. My bf and I got to sit on their comfy couches by the windows. We got a domestic bucket for $10 which I think is a good deal. Although they don't serve food, they had a food truck come out front. The only downside was that the bartender lost my bf's credit card, but they were really nice about handling the situation. I will definitely come back for a drink if I am in the neighborhood again. read more

What I enjoyed most about this place was the decor. It was also very clean. One of the bartenders was a total sweetie (another lectured me on what a drink was supposed to be called). The clientele was very mixed. There were both older people in their early fifties and people in their early twenties. I felt their drink prices were pretty high considering how far from downtown it is. This place should not be charging Wrigleyville prices for cocktails. The DJ also told my friend, who requested a popular song, that he couldn't play it because the owners told him he is only allowed to play a couple of "urban songs" a night, which kind of bothered us. My biggest complaint? The bathrooms! There was only one woman's bathroom. After 30 seconds of being in the restroom, an older regular was banging on the door. Not wonderful! read more

I really like Draft Bar! It's been a great addition to the neighborhood. If I want to catch up for a drink with friends, I try to avoid traveling to Wrigley or Logan Sq or Downtown and keep our local by stopping here plus parking is ample. The drinks are better priced and taste great. One of the last times we visited, there was a reunion and even though we didn't go to that school the alumni were welcoming and the dj had us dancing all night long. So before you just look at the stars and assume I am going to have had some terrible experience, I am not. Not at all actually. The reason I only gave it 2 stars is because I felt as though I was just at home on my couch drinking a beer alone (had a similar experience at the brewery not too far away).....Not what I want to feel if I go to a bar looking for some ambiance. And for $5 a beer, I would expect a bit more. Now granted I went during a week day around 6pm...but still. The place was not completely empty and there were 2 bartenders. So things could've been more lively. The bartenders were cute but doesn't matter much when I'm barely acknowledged. But again to their defense it was a weekday and most ppl seemed to be wanting to be left alone. Either way I don't see myself returning unless the weekends are better. Just a bit too boring for me. read more

Came into Chicago for conference and stumbled upon this fine little establishment. The perfect bar for the delinquents that I was with. So, I make chums with Amanda (the bartender) and once I was over beer, I ask her to make a Bloody Mary. Upon my request, she makes said Bloody Mary, and thank God I requested it, because it was fantastic. I love "Mom and Pop" bars, with that being said, this place will not disappoint if you're of the same mindset. :-) read more
