I got the buffalo chicken wrap with fries and the chicken and the seasoning in the sauce was on point. And the fries were perfectly wrapped. The service was great since my friend and I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. Seeing them make drinks and test to make sure the drinks were good did show me that they really did care for how the drinks came out. I have tried the garlic parm wings from other places and there is no contest. These MF'ers are re-donk-u-lous! I go twice a month to get these wings. I've actually had them delivered through Yelp and they were still crispy and delicious. They are magic. I have had a few other things but I don't waste my time with those other items anymore. Came here for fried pickle chips- they didn't disappoint! Very much enjoyed the ranch dipping sauce. The standout was the boneless chicken wings with garlic parm. They were SO crispy with a great crust, they seemed double fried. Sauce was fantastic. The cheese curds were just okay. We were just in tonight. My family and I, including my father in law, who is incredible and helping me build a front porch at my house this weekend. And visiting us from Pittsburgh, we remembered we had wanted to try this place and finally had the moment to seize. This is a sports pub, and you will see the game on the big screen. There are other games going on on other screens around the bar. It's a bit dark and a bit loud, but, we were there spot on at 7:04ish tonight. I had called ahead to see if we could take advantage of the Saturday special, (put your hand up to your ears parents), before 7, kids eat free with purchase of menu priced entrees. And they are fair prices. I said we wanted to get there asap and take advantage of that deal but we would barely make it on time. He said to mention his name, and I told him I have the same name. and we had a micromoment. We scramble. We go! We get there at 7:09ish? And we mention the deal and look, I had had a day... it was a murphy's law sort of day. And when we mentioned his name at our table and our waitress didn't even go check.... she brought us kids menus. It made my day. Truly. Thanks you. And I'm not kidding, my buffalo chicken sandwich was so good from the bun that held it together, the sauce, (I could use a touch less, but it was tasty so it was fine for me.) This place has become a regular spot for us. The ambience is your local neighborhood sports bar. Sometimes the game, sometimes music, always a nice vibe. Glenda had the chicken avocado wrap which was very tasty and had a good amount of chicken as well. I elected to try the wings, I chose pineapple teriyaki and Diablo sauce; the wings were crispy and juicy. The pineapple teriyaki sauce had a good sweetness to it but was lacking pineapple flavor. The diablo sauce was just that hot as hell but tasted really good. It took my mouth about an hour to cool off. My love and I wandered into City Tap & Grill on a Friday evening, lured by the "open window" of the front facade. Ironically City Tap & Grill is not actually in the city of Chicago, but just a tad west of the Harlem-Irving Plaza mall in suburban Norridge. We cozied up to one of the front tables by the open window, as the weather was not too warm and not too cool. The establishment this evening was not too loud nor crowded, so with the mix of classic rock and country hits in the background along with some sports on the TV screens it offered a pleasant vibe. They offer some nice daily food and drink specials. Though I often go for a beer, we really enjoyed the $5 Moscow Mule special on Friday (blood orange for me, pomegranate for her). I went with the Kaner Melt (presumably nicknamed after Blackhawks star Patrick Kane). This patty melt on toasted marble rye came with American cheese, pickles and grilled onions. My side of tater tots involved a slight upcharge over the standard side of fries or kettle chips (sweet potato fries are also available for a slight upcharge). My love enjoyed her Cali Burger with guacamole, pepperjack cheese and pico de gallo, along with her side of fries. Service was prompt and friendly. Our shot-in-the-dark visit to City Tap & Grill turned out to be very good, and we will recommend it to our friends. read more

I've always seen this place on Yelp and I put it in my wish list to visit in here, yet I never came until today, and quite honestly, idk why I waited until today to come. There are strong lights all over the walls and the bar is super dim and relaxing. There are many TVs around, and with one larger tv on the back wall. My friends and I all tried the mango pina colada which was delicious! Though. I thought it would have been larger than it was with a more thick texture. It was much more liquidy than I expected. I got the French onion soup and it was wonderful. The taste was perfect and the cheese on top was thick. My friend ordered the cheese curds which she loved, and my other friend ordered chicken wings. This place is a fantastic neighborhood gem. We were running errands in this area but don't know it that well and decided to give this place a try. SO glad we did! The food was amazing, and it was a quiet spot on a Saturday for lunch. We had our 3 year old with us and it's a great spot for us to be as a family (any place with a kids menu, good food for adults, AND booze is a big winner). Can't go wrong with this place. Inside it's your typical sports bar so don't go there expecting it to be a quiet place for a family dinner. Only reason it's not 5/5 stars is because their delivery drivers have really been off lately. So just opt to go pick it up yourself. But inside they're always nice and the service is always friendly and fast. My go to is always the boneless wings. They're huge, crispy and all the sauces are amazing. The pretzel sticks with beer cheese is a must. And I'd you really want the most bang for your buck, get the large nacho and bring that back home. It will feed 2-4 people and it's under 15 bucks. The burgers are all delicious and actually have a ton of flavor. So If you're in the mood for a burger, definitely try any of them they have on the menu. My wife and I used to order from here a minimum of once a week. Months went by, and I wondered why we haven't ordered from there in a while. We ordered our food via GrubHub (this is nothing against them at all) and for the first time, almost ever, the food was very late. It was the bar that took forever to cook not GrubHub's delivery. We ordered two cheeseburgers and sides. On the GrubHub app the bar asks you how you want your burgers cooked. You have five choices from rare to well. We picked MEDIUM RARE. When we finally got our food (took over 35-40 mins longer than it stated) the burgers couldn't have possibly been cooked more well done than I have ever seen in my entire life. It's like they forgot the burgers were cooking on the grill. After we thought about it, we realized we stopped ordering from there because they constantly kept messing up our order. Either totally forgetting things in our order, or not reading ANY instructions we gave them. I have no idea if it's a problem reading the orders coming in via their computer, or them just being understaffed to handle any takeout. Today we visited City Tap, and, like a trustee old friend, they once again came through triumphantly. I have to say that I have been coming to City Tap for many years, and I don't know why it's taken me this long to finally review them but, they deserve this review. City Tap is very well designed bat. it's an open and cozy environment with comfortable seating areas and open view of the entire bar and it's many TVs, Which makes it ideal place to watch your favorite sporting events. Their food is consistently good, with outstanding wings and high-quality ingredients, and a large variety of items for all tastes. Today we ordered the jalapeño cheeseburger and an order of wings to share. The waitress had the cheeseburger cut in the kitchen and brought it in two different plates, so that we could share without us having to wrestle with our food. It was cooked expertly to a medium finish and accompanied with golden, crispy yet buttery sweet potato fries. It was very well paired with pico de gallo making it a very fresh tasting burger. For the wings, we chose half buffalo half garlic Parmesan. Great choice. The garlic Parmesan were amazing! There were long strands of Parmesan cheese on top of these golden brown wings. Perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! I don't know which breed of buffalo they use, but must be a giant breed since the wings were enormous! We took half the wings to go. I did not take any pictures this time around, you know what burgers and wings look like but, if you want to see what these burgers and wings look like, you're gonna have to go there for yourself. we were more than satisfied.
