I went and explained my situation and after doing tests and full exam the doctor told me well I am not qualified to prescribe glasses for your condition. I need prisms added to my glasses. Every review says the same thing...ALWAYS a delay. Worst scheduling and delay of any doctors I have been too. Unfortunately I have a health condition and have constant medical appointments. Ive noticed these days with the added convenience of telehealth, on-line scheduling, health -portals, e mailing, texting, etc. that most doctors are rocking it in terms of waiting times. Not this office. You can wait up to one and a half hours to see the Doctor and thats the norm. Had an appointment with Dr Zaslow today for 4pm.. I will say she is a very nice doctor and thorough.. I was to have a second procedure done on my eye. Since the first appt i had with my right eye was done 2 weeks ago and i found myself in the office for over 2 hours... When i made the appointment for the second eye i asked if i will be in the office for 2 hours waiting i was told no, it was a crazy day.. Well i did get there early but that was because i was out with my husband and we went straight there. I knew my appt was for 4pm and didnt mind waiting.. Well 4 turned into 5pm so when i was called in i asked the assistant if i would be sitting in the room alone for an hour like previously.. Well she turned around and said well you got here early, i said i know i did but i was on time for my appt. so that has nothing to do with me sitting alone in a room.. Well she got very annoyed because of my answer that i was on time. She said well go sit in the waiting room then and i just left... If im early thats on me. But she refused to say if i would be sitting alone for an hour. I saw 2 people called in at 5pm who actually got there at 430. So why am i still sitting here? Well i left, the assistant was very rude and kept saying you were here early, yes i was but like i said thats on me, but im on time for 4pm.. The assistant also told me they have appt. every 15 minutes, so why book my appointment for 4pm when you know your not going to see me till 530 maybe 6pm? read more

there is always a delay at this office. I am always aggravated. the office is convenient for me so I returned today for an annual. three elderly patients left after waiting for more than two hours beyond appointment time. I did the usual tests, visual field etc and had the drops to dilate my pupils.Sat in the doctors room until 1pm and walked out. My appt was 10.30. I was the fourth patient to leave. I went there in May with an eye emergency. It turned out I was having a severe glaucoma attack. Dr. A. Draga and Dr. I . Draga kept me there all day while treating my eye. They were so kind and patient. I am sure they saved that eye. After it got a chance to heal they both did the cataract surgery in that eye. I was told it was 50 50 it would be successful. Was a patient of Dr. Irene Draga for 26 years. Made an previous appointment for 9am, her office called the day before to tell me I couldn't have my 9am appointment. Today (October 15, 2020) once again her office called to tell me I couldn't have my 9am appointment but I could come in at 10. When I told them I had this appointment for months and that they do this all of the time I was told "I don't know what to tell you, you can't been seen." If you don't have the first appointment of the day you will be there for HOURS! Apparently this business needs a whole new staff. I will never step foot into this business again. This place is always busy. I went to get my a normal check up for my eyes. Janice Lee was my doctor and she was very thorough. She asked about my history and went through the forms to make sure she covered everything. I was very happy with my exam and would go back for normal check ups. Calls weren't not returned....not even sure if conveyed to doctor, front office is terrible Dr spent 10 minutes and their staff screwed up a prescription......1 Ingredient was off by 10x instead of .01 it was sent as .1 Didnt feel doc was thorough or cared....just kept the line moving Questionable billing process.....the mistakes seem to be financial beneficial to the office. I had something stuck in my eye for a few days. I'm a VERY nervous patient, so I did everything I could before going to the eye specialist. I'm so glad I chose Draga. They made me feel so comfortable. Christina was AMAZING. She understood my nerves and fears and did everything she could to give me a successful visit. I highly recommend this place. Along with their Covid-19 precautions, the place is just awesome. I can't remember the check out nurse's name, but she was really great on the phone and in person. After working as an office manager for an ophthalmology practice for 13 years, I brought mommy with a little trepidation. I was so pleased with this practice. I kept waiting for them to do something that i wasn't happy with. I'm a bit hard to please when I take mommy to the doctor, and expect the efficiency we rarely experience. My overall experience was rather confusing. I made an appointment 4 days prior to my visit. A day later i was called and told i had been cancelled. I made a 2nd appointment at 3:15pm. Only to arrive to my appointment on time and wait 1 hr to see the doctor and another hour to go thru testing because i had to dilate my cornea for my eye exam. Great doctor, very thorough examination but waiting procedure and scheduling was messy. Parking was difficult to find since norther blvd is a very busy road. I came here and saw Dr. Aspasia Draga two years ago. I waited to post a review to verify what I now know is true. She is NOT a competent doctor. I had a large painful stye on my lower lid. After waiting to be seen for more than three hours she gave me an eye exam and told me I had sudden onset narrow angle glaucoma and needed immediate surgery or I would go blind. She did drain the stye very painfully. As she left she said this is very very expensive but it's no problem, your insurance covers this in full. I made an appointment for the following week for the surgery. She advised me not to look at the internet and she had no time for questions and left. So I went home and made an appointment with another ophthalmologist. He examined me and told me I did not have the condition. I then saw my regular optometrist who also verified I did not have this condition and did not need this procedure. That was in July 2017 and I have seen my optometrist today and didnt even need new glasses. The friend who recommended Dr. Draga also had a bad experience with her since mine and has changed doctors. Be very careful and proactive if you go to this office. She is only interested in doing unnecessary expensive procedures for people who have insurance. read more

I have been going to Draga Eye Care for years along with my family. We see Dr. Irene and she has always been great !, Even when she was not availble and my husband and daughter saw Dr. Christine, she was great too. Dr. Irene has always been very caring and thorough. With certain things with my eyes she has always stayed on top of it and made sure to monitor to make sure I am okay. She goes above and beyond. She takes here time and listens to my concerns and always answers all my questions. I never feel rushed or that my concerns are not valid. I will agree with some of the other reviews that there is usually an extended wait time, but I feel it is worth it. I will not trust mine or my families eyes to anyone else. My husband had surgery on his eye that Dr. Irene performed and his eye was perfect after. My daughter had specific issues and Dr. Irene went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes, and my experience was fabulous. The initial office exam was very efficient and completed in a professional manner. Dr. A Draga was very compassionate and professional. They made ever effort to have both of my eyes completed in 3 weeks, and they did. The followup was also great. I was not please with this practice, I will not be going back here. The wait is too long and they charge $50 for a prescription which they're not supposed to. If you get your eyes tested at any establishment, they are required to give you a copy of your prescription. Weather you pay for the exam or the insurance...they have to give you that prescription at no extra cost! Ok so I got there on time, checked in, the tech took me in after a few minutes. He did all the tests and told me the doctor will be in to see me in a few minutes. I told him I did not want my eyes dilated today because I have to drive home. He said the doctor will go over everything with me before she does anything. After waiting for 30 minutes I had to ask one of the technicians how long is the wait because I've been waiting for over 30 mins at this point. During my wait I've only observed one doctor seeing all these patients. I feel like she was seeing patients that came in after me! Which is really unfair and aggravating. Dr. Christiana finally came in and apologized for the long wait. She then started putting drops in my eye and explaining what it is while she's putting the drops in! The first one was just standard. Then came the second set of drops, AFTER she put the drops she said it was to dilate my eyes. I specifically told the tech that I did but want my eyes dilated today. Her response was that he never told her. But isn't she supposed to tell you what she is doing BEFORE putting anything into your eyes?? I've been to other establishments before and the doctor tells me what they are going to do before they put anything in the eyes. She put the drops in and disappeared for another 15 minutes, stopping and talking to one of the.. I'm assuming regular patients in the room next to the one I'm in, while I'm sitting in there waiting again. I don't like how I was treated and won't be going back there again. I honestly think she was seeing patients that came in after me while I'm waiting in there because I can see the room across from the one I was in, and there were quite a few different people that went in and came out. Never got to see Doctor. Me: I am here for my 5 p.m. appointment. Them: Are you sure you have an appointment? Yes. Here's the paperwork that I was sent when I made the appointment. Them: Are you a new patient?. Me: Yes; the paperwork I just showed you is new-patient paperwork. Your office sent it to me. Them: Well we don't have your appointment in our system. And even if you did have a 5:00 appointment we wouldn't be able to see you now... it would have been a while to wait. There are three people in the office with her right now and one still waiting to be seen tonight. We could see you tonight maybe 6:30/7. And the initial exam is about 1 and a half, 2 hours. Would you like to you seen tonight? Me: No I think I'd like to see if I can get home before the torrential downpour and thunder storm that's about to hit. Them: OK, well when you reschedule, keep it in mind that there is always a pretty long wait time.. You can reschedule down there with that lady... You see where all of those people are waiting? Me: I think I'll just see if I can get home safely and maybe find a doctor who can keep an appointment time. What a waste of an hour and a half. Why make appointment times when you know you're always hours behind schedule? And they had no record of an appointment for me at all! read more

Had emergency visit with serious eye infection, almost lost my sight in my left eye. Dr. Draga immediately put me on antibiotics and saved my sight. I had to put antibiotic drops in my eye every hour for three days Two weeks after my eye healed she performed cataract surgery on it, and within 3 days after surgery I had 20/20 vision on my left eye. Just had cataract surgery on right eye and now have 20/20 vision two days out. Absolutely no pain during or after operations. So I can't say that I was seen here because to be honest I don't think they care for new patients. I called to request pricing on a glaucoma initial consultation. I have to say the receptionist was really nice and she seemed like she truly wanted to help. The problem came when I wanted to know how much money I needed to bring for this appointment they couldn't tell me a price range. If you're paying out of pocket don't expect a credit card. I want to pay in cash and need to know how much to bring. According to the receptionist the doctors could not give me an estimate because it's based on the patient's need. Granted I understand, but I still need a price range on how much to bring. Again, receptionist was extremely helpful and professional but you could tell whoever was her higher up just couldn't care less. So if you're paying out of pocket find somewhere else. This place doesn't seem to care to tell their employees the correct information therefore the receptionist could not help me overall. read more

Very dissatisfied with this office. It's always at least a 2-3 hour wait with lots of unnecessary testing. My prescription they gave me cost $50 and it was wrong. I had an issue with my eyes while on vacation. Spoke to someone, but Dr. never called back. Called two more times to get advice for eye. Finally got some advice from office manager. Dr Lee never called me. I'm back with my old doctor. He doesn't have a fancy office but he calls me back and I'm in and out in an hour. read more

The Doctor was fine. The staff is terrible. You can not leave the office without satisfying your copay. Then they will also add fees on and send you a bill. Do not try to call the billing department because they will never call you back. Also, it is never their fault for anything. Just speak to the office manager and she will tell you so.
