We did a delivery order through Mealeo and had the worst experience with that service. We placed…read moreour order and it was accepted at 8:17pm. We waited for over an hour and saw our delivery time was updated for 9:35-9:45. At 9:34pm we get an email stating that Mealeo cancelled the order, so now we are left with no food and now no option to go anywhere else since everywhere is closed. Luckily, the owners of Lucky Peking were kind enough to call me and ask if we canceled the order. I explained that we had not and that Mealeo had. They were also very upset that happened (through no fault of their own) and then offered to deliver it themselves even though at this point they were now closed and had also been waiting around for the Mealeo driver to arrive. So they took my payment over the phone and the chef drove our order over, across town and after hours. I don't know how many other restaurants would do that. Thank you very, very much!

There were separate menus for Desserts and for Beverages. We shared the Calamari ($8.) as an appetizer. It was not fried and breaded but served with a mildly spiced sauce with tiny peanut pieces. Excellent! Beautiful presentation! The gracious attentive hostess/server helped me select Jasmine Eggplant with noodles & Chicken. She told me some customers come for that dish. Wow! Pieces of tender savory eggplant and chicken in a richly flavored sauce. Eggplant was the star! I asked for ginger, and I was heard. My grandson had Drunken Noodles with chicken. I have bought this bottled sauce before from the supermarket. I think it is "Iron Kitchen" brand, and I used to have some in my fridge (when I bought it, I discovered it didn't taste good either so it sat in my fridge for ages). Yangs didn't make their sauce from scratch, and it was gloopy and thick. he picture of this dish on the online menu doesn't match what you get. Do they always use this sauce? I dunno, but it was one of the worst versions I have ever eaten. After dropping off our food, the waitress disappeared and was clearly busy with other tables. She never checked on us to see how we were doing, and it took a while for someone else to refill our drinks. They did a tremendous amount of takeout while we were there.
