a bowl of soup with broccoli

I've been going to this Chinese restaurant for about four years. On my most recent purchase I decided to try a new dish to break the repetition. That dish was the #25 pork with preserved mustard and green soup. It sounded exotic and interesting. After I got it home from the restaurant and opened the container to transfer it to a bowl, I discovered that the pork had Chinese news paper integrated in to the meat. Shocked, I jumped into the car and returned to the restaurant to see how they'd fix the issue. I can forgive the mistake, but that only happens after acknowledging it! The cashier made the refund and alerted the manager. The manager stayed in back and told his staff to get rid of me. Then the cashier went in back again to let him know that I was still there. So another employee came out to see what the problem was. I showed him the news paper and he was shocked as well. He went in back and came back out a few minutes later with the manager behind him. He took a look and said it was pork. Then I made him take a second look and said "newspaper" again. Then he looked at the menu as if the description would indicate "might contain newspaper". But alas it did not. He turned around to go back to the kitchen and I said that's it? He went back to the newspaper pork and said "okay" perhaps acknowledging the error. Not the case... I blurted that I wasn't going to order from here ever again. All of a sudden, his English was perfect, and he ran back and grabbed two cans of soda. And gave them to me. As if two cans of Pepsi will calm me down enough to make me leave. All I wanted was an apology! I can forgive culinary error. Especially if it was a supplier of Chinese pork who left a newspaper stuck to the pork while in transit. A believable scenario where the restaurant is innocent of any fault. At Least acknowledge it to make the customer feel at ease about almost eating newspaper. I couldn't eat the rest of my food that night without checking each piece. (Yeah, I still ate the food) The reason for two stars is because the food is actually tasty and affordable and the staff were polite and friendly. The manager or owner might have had a language barrier keeping him from sympathizing or a culture clash of accepting less than perfect food being served to other humans. If that's the case, don't eat here. Because where does it stop? Today, newspaper. Tomorrow, toenail? Booger? Bandage? Rodent? Feces? Rodent feces? I give every restaurant a chance until they prove to me that they aren't worthy of my patronage. I have a high tolerance for low quality. I even forgive mistakes. I can't forgive rude management who can't see an obvious error and make it right. If you can't handle the public sending food back, perhaps you shouldn't own or manage a restaurant. If you can't keep the food free of garbage, then you definitely shouldn't own or manage a restaurant. The bar is set low for Chinese takeout. You fell short tonight.

This place is not what it used to be from the owners 10 years ago. The fried chicken wings that I had gotten after 15 mins of calling for pick up. They were cold and soggy. I am guessing they were a previous order that was cancelled but it seemed like the wings had been sitting in the bag for 40+ minutes. Also the pork in the pork fried rice was very chewy.

Fresh, hot & delicious sesamu tofu dish! I arrived to see many tables filled with happy patrons but service was efficient.

They gave me the wrong item and when I asked about this they argued and would not make it right. Unfortunate. Overall not a good experience.

Best in Schenectady the food is good and consistent and is always ready when I've gone to pick up. The owners are pleasant

Takoyaki, coconut buns, popcorn chicken, avocado eel sushi and mochi. Sadly mochi by the time I got to it was slightly melted but thats okay I still ate them it was my fault for being obsessed with the coconut buns I reaally liked those. Also really liked the fact the Bubble tea was customizable, I had been craving a good tea I hadn't had accessibility to for sometime. Pricey... eh probably not I ordered alot, surprised it came in a pretty nice bag, got here in good time. Would I order again? Oh I think there are quite a few items I'd like to get again.

I was so excited to try this place! But my experience unfortunately was so sad! Let's start with…read morethe positives. It was clean and cute inside. The duck wrapped in scallion pancakes was the best thing we ordered! Delicious! The second best thing was the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, also very tasty. The edamame were edamame. The spicy dumplings were alright, the filling didn't really have enough flavor to be discernible above the chili oil coating the outside. They were tossed with fresh cucumber which was really nice. Okay, here's the tea on the bad stuff. It was really slow for a weekend night. The service was all over the place. They seem to just all work the room but there is no assigned server to your table so they have no idea what is going on. We were all served waters with our other drinks, but unfortunately one of the water glasses was broken. We gave it back to one of the servers who apologized but never came back with a new glass of water, or the additional drink someone else from our party asked for. Another server couldn't speak English which caused many other issues. We were approached several times to order food from different servers. They tried to take our menus away after ordering appetizers. Many more shenanigans ensued, it was honestly a mess. I ordered the biang biang noodles. I had to ask both servers the same questions about my meal because nobody was talking to each other and I got two completely different answers. I decided to accept the risk and order this dish anyway. I wish I hadn't, it was legitimately awful. The small slices of beef were stone cold and were inedible. There was no meat at all, it was just grizzle. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It was like trying to chew on rubber. Awful! I pushed all the meat to the side of my dish and tried to eat around it. One of the servers asked me if I wanted a box. I told her that the meat was disgusting and just to pack the few noodles I had left on the plate. She just said "oh sorry." The ramen dish had 2 of the thinest slices of pork loin that I have ever seen! They might as well have been cold cuts. And both of those were mostly fat. They were roasted and served untrimmed. And thats all the meat that came in the Tonkotsu ramen dish, besides the 2 slices of fish cakes. What are we on rations guys?? They are very stingy with the protein here. When a place starts cutting food quality and has no self awareness of service quality you know a restaurant is struggling financially or you have an absentee owner situation. I tried to pay a portion of our meal with a gift card and the server couldn't figure out how to do that so she said that they do not accept gift cards. I paid the bill with my credit card and headed for the door. As we were walking out the door, she ran up to me and said "oh we accept gift card, my manager show me how. You can pay gift card when you come again!" I said okay and walked out the door laughing. Don't worry! We will never be back again!
