They have the best General Tso's chicken around- the perfect amount of sweet, sour, and spicy. It is actually somewhat spicy compared to most that I have gotten around here, so if you like the bland spiceless General Tso's that most places in this area serve, it may not be for you. We had been searching high and low for Chinese restaurants near our home. Turned to trusty Yelp ad were lead to Dragon Den for tasty goodness. This was definitely a Gen. Tso's kinda night...we each ordered a different variety and really appreciated that they even HAD options to choose from. I got a chef's special general tso's with veggies, Tai Qing Chicken, and my husband got the Dragon and Phoenix (general tso' s chicken and shrimp and veggies in a brown sauce). I really liked mine and though the meat wass pretty tender and sauce flavorful. Hubby felt the same, but thought it was strange that his mixed in veggies were in a different sauce than gen tso's. It made for a strange flavor combo. I must add that I LOVED the wonton soup that also came with crispy wonton strips. It was awesome. After seeing rave reviews about sushi, we were puzzled and bummed that they said they were not serving sushi when we called during dinner time. Staffing, perhaps? read more

They do not have a large sushi menu. But I'd put that roll up with any fancy restaurant. 2nd go to is the Singapore Mei Fun. 9 of 10 times richly spiced and served HOT! We walked in, got seated, and the waitress got us a high chair for my daughter. She got our drinks quickly and checked in regularly for refills. We ordered Crab Rangoons for our appetizer, and they were amazing! Super crunchy and flavorful! I ordered the tempura shrimp roll. The presentation was beautiful, the tempura was crunchy, and the flavor was well balanced! My party members orders Egg Rolls, Kung Pao Chicken, Mushu Chicken, and sweet and sour pork. We all enjoyed our food, and even my toddler loved it. The plain fried rice was super flavorful and cooked well. The pros: food comes out super fast, like Jimmy John's-fast. Granted I was one of maybe 2 customers on a Monday night so it probably did not take long to make my meal. However, it felt like everything came out within 5-6 minutes and it was steaming hot which is nice. I had only ordered Hot & Sour soup (quart $3.50) and a Chicken Pad Thai / Drunken Noodle dish ($9.50). The price point was decent for the portions and doesn't feel like it would break the bank. The Hot & Sour soup was a bit more on the sour side but some people might like that. I like mine a little sweeter as well but overall, I enjoyed it. It was decent, not the best I've had but good enough. The cons: depending how you look at it, the food was a bit bland. But that's maybe a good thing if you are not looking for a lot of sodium in the typical Chinese cooking. But because of this, the taste of both dishes don't seem to quite reach the bar. The Pad Thai/Drunken Noodle combo dish wasn't quite of either dishes. It has the noodles of the Pad Thai but contained mushrooms and green bell peppers which is different and I suppose can be used for the Drunken Noodle but they did not enhanced the flavors. It did not had the sweetness of a Pad Thai nor the spice kick of Drunken Noodles so for me this dish was a miss. Overall, the place was well kept and neat, and the service was nice and courteous so I give it 3 stars. It needed to hit the bar on food taste a bit more for me to get more stars. I am likely try other places before I go back here for another visit. read more

Located in a little strip mall, Dragon Den was a nice find! The small eat-in part of the restaurant had many full tables, so my daughter and I decided to eat there instead of carrying out. We ordered edamame, which came out quick and delicious. Then my daughter ordered a basic sweet & sour chicken and I ordered beef chop suey. The entrees were served hot and were flavorful. We came on a Sunday and were surprised, but happy to see, that the lunch special was offered. Awesome prices and portions. My wife and I both had the Hot and Sour soup and it was excellent and came with a big plate of crunchy noodles. The kids had egg drop and said it was great. We each ordered a sushi roll (Philly roll & Crunchy shrimp roll), and a lunch (Kung Pao chicken & shrimp fried rice) which came with an egg roll. After a few mins the waitress brought out the egg rolls, which was kind of weird because I'm used to getting with my meal, but hands down best egg roll I've had in Knoxville.
