When I lived in Northern Virginia, there was an Island Fin Poke nearby and I used to go every Friday in the summer. I can't explain how happy I was to find there's a location in Knoxville! I have had poke at other places and it just wasn't the same. I love the variety of topping choices! My bowl was delicious and service was very friendly. My preferred bowl is-- mostly greens with some rice, tuna, salmon, spicy tuna with extra soy marinade, edamame, pineapple, crispy garlic, onion, wontons, wasabi peas, some sesame seeds, a bit of sea salt, and both the avocado and wasabi dressings. Everything tasted so fresh. The bowls are filling and so enjoyable. If you've never tried poke, it's like a sushi salad or sushi bowl. The place has cute decor and was very clean. This place was great. I was staying in Oak Ridge for a class and decided to make the 20 minute drive to turkey creek to get dinner and shopping. I really like poke, and this place looked good in photos, plus I was drawn in by the soft serve ice cream. I'm glad we came by. My mom and I both loved our poke bowls. The service was stellar. The two ladies who made our food were so incredibly helpful and kind. Everything was very fresh. Island Fin is a great new addition to Turkey Creek / Farragut. I first discovered it on Ubereats and was impressed. Last week, I dropped in to check it out. Now, I've been to other poke bowl restaurants in the past and found that those places have the usual items (sushi-like tuna, salmon, etc. and some basic toppings). This is MUCH better. Island Fin is definitely a step above what you might have experienced elsewhere. The bowls have so many options for customization that it is mind-blowing (in a good way). For protein, they have an array of cooked and sushi-style selections. You can get everything from Korean BBQ chicken to tuna. They also have unique toppings like coconut infused with spices and toasted in-house and pickled veggies. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. Aside from the bowls, they also serve Dole whip soft serve ice cream (which is dairy free). Very tasty :) This is a franchise. So, they have an app with rewards and are consistent with what you might see at other locations. I would give this a no star if I could. I made an order online to have picked up by 5:35 on a Saturday. I had a toddler that I needed to get home for bed. I thought poke would be perfect. When I arrived at 5:40 to pick up my order there were two young girls sitting in the back by the restrooms playing on their phones. They asked how they could help I said I was here to pick up an order. They said they didn't have an order until they looked at the printer and it was hanging. The girls said they would put the order together quickly it wouldn't be an issue. When I got home everything was wrong, cold and was not fresh. We finally found our Poke Place! It's almost as good as Sweet Fin Poke, which was our favorite in LA. This is a build-your-own poke place (those are the best) with a relaxed Hawaiian vibe. Island Fin has generous helpings of fresh fish, tons of toppings to choose from, different sauces and marinades, AND fun fruity ice cream to finish off your meal. The young staff are go-getters and happy to assemble whatever conglomeration of Poke toppings you can dream up. We spotted dog bowls inside the restaurant, so we'll bring the pooch next time. The only things I'd add to the vast array of options are Forbidden Rice, tofu of some sort, and some thinly sliced spicy Thai peppers. I stand corrected! They DO have tofu. My husband and I just tried Island Fin Poke Co. and loved it! I had a spicy tuna bowl with white rice and more toppings than I can remember, I did add advacado as a topping which was a $2 up charge. My husband had less toppings in his chicken and white rice bowl, as he says he's not very adventurous, but he had a great bowl as well. We also enjoyed the corn syrup free fountain drinks, the pineapple cream was super tasty. I love pineapple Dole Whips and I'm sure I will visit often for Dole Whip happy hour, 3-6 pm daily. Had a fabulous poke bowl here today. Bowls come with 3 (!) proteins and you have over 6 choices. There are a large number of toppings and there is no limit on how many you choose. Only a few are an additional cost: avocado, kimchi, masago, and surimi. Everything else is included, even seaweed salad! Interesting sauce choices and lots of crunchy toppings like sesame, fried garlic or onion, seaweed, and more. They are generous with all of the ingredient amounts. I was shopping at Fleet Feet and noticed the Island Fin Poke sign and decided to hive it a try. I wasn't expecting much because other poke bowl in Knoxville area have proved disappointing. I was totally impressed by all the fresh ingredients and the "bowl builder" was so friendly as she walked me through the numerous selections. Wow, on first bite, I was hooked. Wow! My mouth is watering thinking about the poke bowl I enjoyed yesterday. It was that good!!! I was traveling through Tennessee for work, and this popped up when I was looking for a quick, healthy gluten free option. The food was amazing and the customer service was incredible.
