    Steak and scallops

Came here on a whim as sat at the lemongrass restaurant for over 15 minutes with no service. First service here is quick and it's fresh and steaming hot! The scallops are large and cooked to anabsolute perfect 10. Honestly a 1000 times better than I expected. The rice was not mushy which it always is in Loudon's attempt at this. So worth the drive and will come here often in future! Thank you for great service and piping hot perfectly cooked tasty food!

Nice people and interesting concept of drive thru hibachi! I got the steak and scallops combination. You have to ask for a side salad but it does come free of charge if you ask. The ginger dressing tastes like they mixed sugar with powdered ginger spice and it was very mild not spicy like fresh (or even pickled) ginger, tasted good but should not be marketed ginger dressing. Steak was meh and overcooked for my taste, they didn't ask how I liked it cooked so I should have expected well done I suppose. Scallops tasted fishy but were cooked the best they could given the low quality. Oh, and those sweet carrots that every other review I read talked about are definitely different. Not really a great concept in my opinion. Sorry y'all.... But...I will not going back

Husband and I were starving and our go-to restaurant was closed.. we pulled in the parking lot to turn around and found this gem! First impression was it was really clean and we were greeted immediately. The menu had a lot of options at reasonable prices, and after we ordered and sat down, our meals were out extremely fast! The egg rolls are some of the best we'd ever had, and the steak and mushrooms were both tender and fluffy, so so good. We would highly recommend this place for a quick, yummy, easy Japanese option.

    Teriyaki chicken and mushrooms.

From the moment I saw the sign go up during construction I was so excited to try this place as Hibachi is my absolute favorite. Sadly, the food did not love up to my expectations. For starters I ordered the teriyaki steak and broccoli but when I got home I had chicken and it was literally just chicken and broccoli, with the sweet carrots. No other veggies like mushrooms or onion one typically gets when ordering hibachi. The chicken was overcooked and bland and I couldn't taste any teriyaki flavor. The fried rice was OK but has corn in it which is weird to me and the shrimp sauce had a good flavor. I was also not happy to see inside the restaurant from my deive thru view that most of the staff weren't properly masked or even masked at all. Granted this is only their second day open and I'm sure they have kinks to work out. I'll give them another shot in a few months but for now I'll continue to drive to Farragut for good hibachi.

Delicious, fresh food in large portions. They all come with a container of yum yum sauce...yum indeed. Excellent customer service and an immaculately clean restaurant. We look forward to going back!

This was my first time eating at Ashi Express. The people were very nice and the food was good. I'm not much on ginger salad dressing, but theirs is pretty good. I had the Hibachi Chicken and Mushrooms with an egg roll and salad. Lots of food and great service.

Great food and service. Quality of the food is comparable to the typical Japanese steakhouse without the price.

Clean but food sucks. You can get better sushi at Krogers or Food City. It is just prepackaged garbage that is expensive and nasty

My daughter got me eating here, I'm a big fan of the Lo mein and egg rolls, however looking at the menu it appears to be a bit costly!

About halfway through the meal, we realized there was no shrimp on either plate. When we brought it to their attention, we were told they "saw the shrimp." There were absolutely no shrimp, and I do not appreciate being treated like a liar. I understand some people may try to get free food, but that was not the case here. We will not be returning. If you go, be aware--two staff members insisted they saw six shrimp on each of the plates when there were none, essentially calling us liars. So who was lying... 3 stars is because the waiter was kind. The owner or manager (a woman) WAS NOT KIND. Minus the waiter, I would give it a 1 star. I left him a 25% despite the way we were treated. In the response below, she (the owner) is still calling us liars. She is trying to save face for her company. She is misinformed by her employees. Just be mindful of the less than honest owner of this establishment. If they cheated us, chances are they will cheat you. Buyer beware!!! Customer lost! We WILL NOT return and I'm changing my review to 1 star... because that is the minimum...it doesn't even deserve that.

I had a "pick 2" combo with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and loaded baked potato soup. Lots of food; I took home half the sandwich. Wife had the chicken broth ramen and thought it was very good, with some negatives mentioned below. On mine, the soup was OK but I thought underseasoned. No condiments on the tables, so I just ate on (so it wasn't that bad, obviously-- but condiments on the table or nearby would be nice). My wife is Japanese, so even when she thought of ordering the ramen, I asked her to please not be too harsh if theirs wasn't like what she'd get in Kyoto! She liked the broth a lot and there was LOTS of chicken with it. Her biggest issue was that the ramen itself was a bit thick and unlike typical ramen. Still, overall a good soup dish even for her high/unreal standards! Only drinks are bottled drinks (no alcohol). We asked for tap water and got served lukewarm tap water in tiny cups (see in picture). So, four stars means we liked it and would go back. Why not 5 stars? In addition to the above small points, I would add that good/great sandwiches are for some reason I great supply In Maryville! Its hard to beat out some of the places already very well-known for very good sandwiches (start with Foothills Milling Bakery, but I can think of 2-3 other places in the area that are very good). Very solid place but needs more amenities or novel items to get five stars.

The unsweetened tea with lemon was like an old girlfriend: ice cold and bitter. The tempura shrimp and veggies were so so good. Three smaller shrimpies. Three onion rings. 147 sweet potato sticks. Is the chef drunk or the noodles? We have no answer. We got the leftovers to go and vanished quietly in the night. We got sat and looked over the menu, one thing I thought was really nice was that they offered their lunch on a weekend. Not many places do that. We decided however to order their dinner for two which comes with two entrees and a choice of app or dessert. We got their fresh basil rolls and also got a cup of their tom yum soup to split. For entrees we got their phad Thai and yellow curry. The soup and basil rolls came out super fast. Both were delicious. The soup was light and flavorful with the ginger and lime really shining through. The basil rolls were also light and the sauce was great with it. The basil didn't overpower any of the other flavors and the shrimp was very fresh tasting not fishy at all. My husband had never tried either before and was really happy with both of them. The entrees were very well portioned (meaning we had amazing leftovers). The curry a a bit of spice but not too much and you could taste all the other flavors in it. The phad Thai was good it was a bit watery with the sauce but the flavor was there. The only complaint either of us had was that the chicken was a bit dry. But that was small compared to how good everything was. It was a great lunch. When we are back in Maryville which is often because my husband works there it's definitely a place I want to go again. They have great food and the prices and really good. Plus the service is awesome. Our server offered to box up our food for us when my husband was in the bathroom and I had our daughter in my lap because she wanted to make it easier for me which I really appreciated.
