First time eating from Burleson Dragon Express. Egg rolls were the best I have ever had. The Kung Pau chicken was very good. Chicken was cooked perfectly, very tasty. Vegetables were very good and cooked to the right texture. Fried Rice was a little bland but good. Hot and Sour soup was very good. Kids Sweet and Sour chicken was very good. Very liberal portions in all meals. Biscuits were a little chewy but very good flavor. Not the same that I remembered from Gandys Chicken that was here in Burleson back in the 80s but very good. This place is great. I asked the AI if it's a good place to sit and study or do my computer work and there was no answer, so I will answer. Yes it is. There were people in and out ordering to go, but the there were only a couple of tables occupied at a time, so they didn't mind me taking a big table by an outlet and doing my work. The food was delicious. I was not that healthy in ordering fried dumplings and egg rolls but then I got a side of green beans that were cooked to perfection. Then I ordered a dish to go, mushroom beef, and I feel sure it will also be good with steamed rice later. As for the person who gave a low rating because the food is "greasy" -- go somewhere else, not Chinese!! This is not a buffet, but it's also not the fanciest, just simple and good food like you would expect. I'm sure they can make the food healthier and more authentic if you ask them. Small but nicely decorated dining room. Take-out counter is hoppin but there is space to sit and enjoy your meal with a family of four to six people. Service was speedy and the food was flavorful and delicious. The menu has all the faves and a variety of other dishes to order if you want something different from your usual order. My kids kept repeating, "The food is just so good Ma!" Drinks are served in bottles and cans. The lunch specials run 11 am to 4 PM and include an egg roll with your meal for around $8.99. Very disappointed in our meal tonight. Combination fried rice was bland and didn't seem fried at all with hardly any meat. I had to fry it and add more chicken and seasoning. I had mushroom chicken and again very skimpy on chicken ....lots of mushrooms and a few carrots and snow peas but no cabbage. Online description includes cabbage. We ordered sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken and just about every piece of chicken was tough and chewy and tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours.
