Absolutely love this place have been coming here for years. It's a takeout only or delivery place so don't expect to eat there. All of the food is made very fresh and I have never gotten something I didn't like. At most Chinese food places I don't like the eggrolls, but I like these ones and their rice noodles are really great. This little gem has been around for many moons and has become my go to for Chinese delivery. Since day one they have had a carryout chicken fried rice with an eggroll - $4.25 Their entrees are great but lately I find myself making a meal out of the eggrolls, dumplings and either wonton or chicken soup. Their eggrolls arw mini but are the way all eggrolls used to be. An eggroll is NOT a fried spring roll and Ming Wok knows this. The dumplings are garlicky goodness and the soups...wonton is 1 per order and so good. The chicken noodle comes 2 to an order and 1 is a meal for me. It's interesting with the Chinese noodle twist. I got food from here a few years ago and it was pretty good so I decided to give them another try today after recently moving down. It was the worst decision EVER. I honestly don't know how people have rated this place so high. I ordered chicken w broccoli and chicken w garlic sauce. 1. I open the container that has the chicken w broccoli and right off the bat it looks nothing like chicken w broccoli. There's no brown sauce, the chicken was colorless like it wasn't fully cooked. The vegetables were over cooked. The sauce it was in was DISGUSTING. It was really thick and flavorless. 2. The chicken w garlic sauce was a little better but that still wasn't good. Again, the sauce was really thick and wasn't spicy at all and it was strangely sweet. 3. I asked for fried rice instead of white rice and they gave me white rice w a little bit of soy sauce that didn't taste good at all. No onions, no bean sprouts, nothing else but the rice. 4. Egg rolls weren't good. I know Yelp doesn't let you put anything lower than 1 star but if I could, I would've given them 0 stars. I wish I could get my money back. read more

We order once or twice a month and food is always pretty good. We order beef and brocolli with double beef, egg rolls and chicken lo mein. The order we got today tasted very different. It was great! The egg roll was crisp and flaky and the insides were very tasty. Usually the egg rolls are so- so, but not this time. Everything had a different flavor today, so don't know what they did differently, but I hope they keep doing it. This place is fast, reasonably priced, and we always know it will taste good. Walked in to get some soup today. This place still has a folding table in between the counter and where you pay. I asked what this table was for and the lady at the front said it's to protect their employees from customers. First of all none of the employees have masks on, secondly the lady at the counter rudely tells me I shouldn't even have let you in. She says, I quote we have a sign on the door that says only one at a time allowed to come in and order. Then she says I should've never let you in. If I could give a 3.5 star review, I would do so. But, given the positives somewhat outweigh the negatives, I rounded up to 4 rather than round down to 3 stars. First, the positives: - Price - Ming Wok is very reasonably priced and can feed our family of five for a fraction of what we pay at most other Chinese restaurants. - Quantity (this is tied to price) - the portions are huge. So, between the price and the portions, this place is a great value. - Fast - I haven't ordered delivery, but I call on my way and the food is always freshly ready when I get there. By the time I get home, it is still extremely hot and ready to eat. Now, the not-so-positive: - Flavor - this is not high-flavor Chinese food. Many of the sauces are relatively bland. I feel like the ingredients are decent quality - the vegetables seem fresh, the meat seems fine - but the flavor is lacking a bit. (side note - we haven't found really good Chinese good in Fort Worth, so lack of flavor at Ming Wok is less of an issue when there aren't many flavorful alternatives). If you're curious about some of the specific dishes: - Hot and Sour soup - my family is crazy and lives for hot and sour soup. Fortunately, Ming Wok's is above average. Unlike some of their main courses, this dish has decent flavor and isn't overly peppery, so the kids like it. - Lo Mein - this dish is above average, too. Because there isn't a sauce on top of it, the lack of flavor in the sauce doesn't impact the lo mein negatively. The noodles are good, the chicken in the chicken lo main is good. All in all, not a bad dish. - BBQ ribs - these are classic Chinese-style ribs and have a decent flavor. The meat is tender and comes off the bone. This has become a staple when we order from Ming Wok. - All other dishes we've tried (Kung Pao, Xien Xien Flavor, Garlic Sauce, etc) - bland. They work as a "feed yourself" dinner, but not something I would ever crave or seek out. read more
