If anything was bad it might be that if your order for delivery the lady on the phone seems to be really quick in taking your order and it tends to make you feel like she's in a rush the first few times you order until you sorta get used to it, but other than that the service is great they never messed up on my order and the food is delicious! First of all, in a time like this you should be really appreciative of customers supporting local businesses because they're are plenty others who would be grateful to make a sale!!!!! This is my local "go to" Chinese takeout spot. I guess regardless of where you go in Astoria for Chinese takeout this place has most of them beat, I'll explain why.... AMAZINGLY they've got a huge parking lot! The location is in an almost hidden shopping center right on 37th St were they've got a pizza shop, liquor store that has lotto and a rather decent almost Whole Foods style supermarket called "Best Market" were they sell buffet food by the pound. Let me not forget to mention the SINGLECUT BREWERY smack across the street. The food is just average Chinese takeout with average Chinese takeout prices, always fresh, always hot and their delivery is super fast. If you live in the Ditmars/Steinway area and you haven't tried this place as of yet, I recommend you do. read more

They made it on the spot - and fast. They didn't give me any grief about using my amex card - which was surprising. The price was very fair. Astoria really isn't the best place for American style Chinese takeout but this is my favorite one in the area - better than Fatima's, No. 1 Flower Drum House, and Xing's Chef. Slightly less expensive than the rest and portions are huge. Food tastes just as good as the Chinese takeout I've had in other parts of Queens. I can't believe it took me so long to order from here. When I called in, at first they acknowledged the correct order, but then they tried to tell me that I was not charged for it. as i was heading back to manhattan my nephew wanted me to bring him some food and he was in the mood for chinese so i figure this joint is on my route so it's a go. it's on 37th st which is away from the nite life of the main area of astoria but not to far to avoid . ok the place looks clean and the menu looks like your average chinese food joint , some boneless spare ribs , vegetables egg rolls , chicken in garlic sauce and veggie choy mein (seems a lot for one person )but a wonderful uncle like me does not mind . before i left i checked to make sure everything was in the bag and the lady at the counter was nice enough to check it with me and it's all correct and for less then 30 bucks it's not that pricey at all . when i got home to bring my siblings slacker his food i nibbled on a few boneless ribs and a veggie egg roll and i was in agreement with my nephew that the food is really good , ribs are meaty and not dry at all and the egg rolls don't have that oily taste that much .the main stuff was all gone before i could give it a taste test . maybe next time when i doing my astoria run i will stop by and grab some takeout before i head back home . read more
