They were pretty busy when we went so it was really hard to get service :( understandable but also keep that in mind if you go on a time crunch. We had to keep flagging for utensils/water and plates- even after our appetizers were delivered. We got cucumber appetizer, variety of kabobs/skewers and garlic noods. I will say I did enjoy my kabobs but no explanation of which were which- just a drop and run honestly. The garlic noodles were brought out but then taken away because they forgot the Parmesan seasoning but I think they just had the wrong order/table as they brought another one out in like 5 or more mins. All in all- it's a cute place with a lot of potential. They have karaoke rooms and a full bar.

The food is amazing. We ordered salty and pepper chicken, Egg fried rice, garlic green beans , basil chicken and grilled oysters. The oysters were good but it wasn't that much oyster inside the shell. Portion sizes are shareable if you don't want left overs.

***This review is about their lack of service.***Zero stars for that***Food is still good 4 stars*** After coming here the high school reunion and tasted some of their dishes, my wife and I came in for a early Sunday dinner around 4pm and the place was pretty empty with one table. We were seated right away and our server took the drink and food orders, after everything we ordered came we never saw the servers again. Not once did they come back and say how's everything or do you need anything or would you like another drink. Nothing!!! I would understand if they were pack and busy!!! But like I said place was pretty empty. Now for the food we order several different dishes and they were all pretty good. Butter Garlic Noodles with Mushroom, which they forgot the mushroom was good with flavor. After I raised the issue that there was no mushroom, they didn't charge for the entire dish. That was pretty nice of them. Mongolian Beef was flavorful, but more onions than beef. Garlic Stir Fried String Beans was very good and perfectly made. Salt and Pepper Wings was good. Crunchy on the outside and moist on the meat. Shrimp, Pork & Green Chives Dumplings were just okay, nothing special about it. No chives taste to it which I love.

Great location by the waterfront at Jack London Square. The interior was dark, masculine with prominently dark wood with large-scaled seating booths. The bar area was a bit of a mismatch. Large windows to look out over the San Francisco Bay. The menu was sort of a mixed bag. Some dishes aesthetically displeasing like the garlic noodles and chicken wings were actually good and tasty. The tater tots and dumplings were a miss! In the beginning, the server was friendly and chatty. But once the order was placed and the food served, the server was very difficult to flag down. Catching any of the servers attention to ask for the bill at the end of the meal was taxing.

My husband and I decide to visit Jack London Square and take the ferry to the San Francisco ferry building. We found a restaurant with Taiwanese food. Had to try it. Wow- what a pleasant surprise. We were in a rush so we got the stir fry noodle- it had a good wok flavor, noodles nice and chewy. Fried squid was very tasty. We got a table by the window- very nice view. Our server was great.

Nice establishment located on the water in Jack London Square. Very cool and warm vibes. Happy hour is only 2pm-5pm which is weird since happy hour typically starts at 5 pm Food was good. Service was ok. Seems they forgot to put our drink order in, otherwise it was a pleasant dining experience. Plenty of seating with nice water views. Nice bar with several TVs.

Updated review; actually a tip. I found this out from a friend who dined there recently. If paying for dining and you're using a credit card, there is a credit card processing fee of $6.00. Better bring cash to pay for the meal. Margarita going for $21.00 a glass. That's pricey.

Came with a group and ordered a bunch of dishes to share with the table. I really only had a taste for chicken wings and loved them. They were very crispy, full of flavor and very temperature hot. I even had enough to eat for lunch the following day. This was a backup place instead of monkey king.

The view is beautiful, peaceful, it has a prime location on the Jack London Pier, but the owner and host (I believe is the owner) doesn't have any experience with service dog laws in the U.S. so I would not recommend this place to anyone. The prices are exorbitant as well, a drink costs on average of $21 from their cocktail menu. The appetizer we got was greasy and weren't very flavorful nor reminiscent of a Chinese dish. We ended up going to a different restaurant for dinner because drinks alone ran up a bill of a $200 for 4. I'd recommend they take time to review the laws around customers and the regulations required to hold their license.

We drove in on an extremely rainy day because we couldn't miss witnessing this event and the place was packed to the brim with just enough room to still move around. We grabbed some delicious beer and watched all the teams perform for three rounds. We enjoyed the enthusiasm, the energy, the talented singing, dance moves and chemistry the teams were giving as they belted each songs. Confetti poppers and sashes were utilized and made the night all the more snazzy. The stage is a bit small and snug. Overall, a fun time and perhaps we will join in on the next season~

I always loved going to the karaoke shows here. The karaoke league competition tonight (Monday,…read moreMarch 30, 2026) was amazing! And the talent was topnotch! The bartenders were also amazing. For as busy as it was tonight, they did an outstanding job! What made this potentially 5-star review downgraded to a 3-star review was because of my interaction with the KJ here tonight, right after the karaoke league competition. When the karaoke queue was finally open to the public after the competition, I signed up for just one song, and I looked at the KaraFun queue and saw my song at 8th (#8) in the rotation. I looked at the queue again a minute later, and my song was suddenly at #10. I looked again a few seconds later, and my song was suddenly at #14. And then, a few seconds later, it was at #16. I went up to the KJ to ask him what was going on, and he said that he's just making a living, and if people tip him, they get moved up on the queue. Being a KJ myself and being part of a KJ team in the Bay Area, we do accept tips at our shows, but we don't move people up even after getting tipped. We get tipped by merit, by giving our singers their rockstar moment. Tips just come with the show and everyone's hard work. So, at this Legionnaire Saloon tonight, I felt disrespected. Before I found out I was being moved down from the queue, I was planning on tipping the KJ between $10 to $20 just for one song... just because KJs gotta support each other. I would have even waited my turn (at #8 on the queue), because it's just the right thing to do. But after this disrespect, and after the KJ even offered to move me up to #3, I just told him I was leaving, and I walk out. The damage has been done, and I wanted nothing to do with this show. I'll still come back here for drinks, but I will not come back when this KJ is working. 3 Stars. From a potential 5 stars. My two centavos.

The first thing you notice is the beautiful ambiance of decor there. It felt like I was on vacation in Costa Rica. The house speakers playing Latin and Dominican music def set the tone that this was a place rich in culture. I must say that the server Kimmy as well as Crista the bartender were both bright spots. The food was awesome as well. The steak was served to temperature (med rare) and the dealers choice rum cocktail was phenomenal. What made this dinner visit special was the fact that the chef came from behind the window to check on everyone. Being in hospitality for 30 years, I can say that I know genuine passion when I see it. Not only did this visit make me happy that it is located in my home town of oakland, but to know that top chef talent chef Nelson, took a community shot with everyone at bar made it feel like home. Cheers to Sobre, they got it right!

I don't know when this started happening but now there is a cover fee, which is no problem because I know it's busy and it's mostly known for being a bar with some snacks .... we came for the snacks so no problem paying a cover charge. The sketchy part about it was the hostess at the front door said they're not accepting cash for the cover fee and they are only accepting Zelle . We search the email to pay but it asked for first and last name and at that point she said never mind you guys can go sit down . so that was weird number one ! Especially because I would assume as a business your Zelle handle would have something about the business and not a personal persons Zelle . number two I know that their menu always changes depending on seasonal products so that's not a big deal , but I know they usually always have oysters . when I went to go place my order the waitress said that they do not have oysters and explained to me that it's a party tonight so they only have certain items .... but luckily for me one of the cooks from the back was standing behind her so I assume when I walked away, he corrected her because she came back and said oh we do have oysters ?! very interesting to me . Overall vibes are still cool inside , they were playing all the hits. The food was good . the empanadas ! the ingredients were very fresh. You could taste it in every bite. The goat cheese was probably our favorite thing that we got perfectly breaded gooey cheese . and the oysters were good. I just wish we could get more for what we pay for. I think it's $22 just for three. I'm used to paying $22 for six with all the ingredients that they claim they use , but yeah . I don't know what's going on with the staff. That's why I'm taking one star away other than that love the vibe , the ambience feels good. Just staff needs to get it together. And I hope they aren't scamming people at the door .

It was pretty frustrating at the start. Starting with the parking situation, couldn't find parking anywhere but what do you expect from San Francisco... When we got inside it was super busy and we couldn't find a place to sit, and no one really stepped in to help us. After wandering around for about 15 minutes, we finally snagged a spot at a long shared table. Luckily, a bench table right next to the piano opened up shortly after and we jumped on it. I ended up facing the opposite direction, so I didn't have much of a view, but at least my sister and girlfriend got a front-row seat to the show! The drinks were just mediocre, and it took about 5-10 minutes for them to arrive. For the price and the wait, I was hoping for something a bit better. Why it's a 3-star review: Despite the rough start, there were three things that really saved the night: The theme is awesome. There is so much detail on the walls; you can tell a lot of work went into the decorations. Our waiter was great. Even though the place was slammed, he checked on us constantly to see how we were doing and if we needed another round. The piano player was the highlight. He really knew how to hype up the crowd and his skills were top-notch. Overall, a cool spot for the history and the music, but the seating and drink wait can be a challenge. Glad the girls got to see the show, as they are more interested in piano bars than I am.
