This was really a hidden gem . I attended this place to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was fun and lively, enjoyable and just refreshing to see the atmosphere. This place brings people together. The food was good and the drinks were lovely. The prices were moderate. Would definitely come back again to enjoy.

This place is always a good time. They have really good brunch grits with shrimp and grits and has crawfish in it. Also, I took my Granny and she had a good time. We had a mimosa and My Cousin. The vibe is great there. You can listen to music to have a DJ playing so if you're in town, you should go check out this place and they have à la carte also so you don't have to get the brunch

This was my first time attending brunch in Mimosa on grand. My sister and I were attending black Joy and decided to start off the day with the Great meal. We had made reservations as they are recommended. I love the vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant. The artwork is fantastic and the music was on point. We chose the brunch option for our breakfast choice. You also had the option of purchasing entrees outside of what was on the menu. I really enjoyed the variety of the brunch and they catered to dietary needs as well. I really enjoyed the chicken sausage with eggs and vegan vegetable and potatoes. The potatoes were very unique and had a great flavor because they use truffle oil. This is one of the very first brunch places I have came to where every item on the menu had a unique taste and it was excellently prepared. The Cajun shrimp topped my garlic grits and reminded me of being back in New orleans. The breakfast also included French toast and your option of a banana pudding muffin with caramel sauce. Everything was incredibly curated and The Taste were defined. Brunch couldn't be complete without a morning mimosa. My sister and I enjoyed a Paloma which was strong but still refreshing and sweet. Overall I definitely would be back to enjoy on the menu.

I know this place as M2. It has a very nice cultured atmosphere and offers a variety of social events including trap karaoke, brunch, and food events. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Above the bar, they play the most current popular sporting events such as basketball and football games. The staff are friendly, hardworking, approachable and cater to the needs of each guest for reasonable requests. The place was very clean. There is a very energetic DJ playing a mix of the best of what music has to offer which includes hip hop and r&b. He knows how to keep the crowd singing and moving. The food was crazy good and they even offer vegan options. Best brunch hands down and not only because the food was so good but because they do it "closed buffet" style. For a flat fee you can go to the buffet and be served the menu options (it's not self serve which prevents the spread of germs). The drink menu was great and we tried several of the drinks. All of them were good. I have zero complaints. This place puts other brunch places to shave and even stays open a little later than lots of typical brunch places that close or stop serving at 3pm. They stop serving at 5pm. I was more than pleased and so was the bday boy.

Hello so this weekend I went to this lounge in Oakland by lake Merritt. When walking in its a nice atmosphere. They serve food until 10pm and also have a cocktail special menu which is served until 11:30pm which I thought was very smart. We had a VIP table but I went to the bar to place my order. I did ask the bar tender what food does she recommend so that was a nice encounter. I order a Hennessy side car which was a 10 out of 10. I ordered some truffle fries along with some prawns with butter garlic sauce. Let's just say it was money well spent. I finally took at a look at the cocktail menu and saw a blackberry sidecar and thought that too was delicious so I had 2 of those. Overall it was a good night great music and a good atmosphere. I would recommend this place and I will be back.

This seems like a really happening place. Very lively ambiance. Did not order the food, so I don't know what it tastes like. There was some party or something going on while I was there. Service seemed to be pretty good but again we only ordered 1 drink. Plenty of seating all around. Worth going back to for another visit.

Let me first start by saying that I had a very good time celebrating my Birthday at M2. We came in there this evening, which is a Thursday night so we could enjoy the five dollar menu. We ordered several different items throughout the night. We drank several drinks a piece. Shots and all. The food came out very fast. Very thankful for that. I didn't like the fact that it was so busy and you had to wait on the bartenders for several minutes to place an order for drinks or food. The music was great. I didn't like that karaoke wasn't until 9 PM. I got there at 5 PM in hopes of doing karaoke, not knowing that it started so late. Unfortunately, we did not stay until 9 o'clock because one of the ladies in my party decided to go to the sushi place and bring her food into the establishment. Later she approached by the owner while she was outside smoking a cigarette regarding said situation. When she came back inside to the group, she was in full-blown tears and crying uncontrollably. Such a vibe kill! Anyway, We decided to leave immediately following the encounter. I personally apologized to the owner for the mishap, even though I did not eat a single crumb of the food (edamame). Truth be told I made sure the edamame was cleaned up and off the table. I even cleared the empty cups, champagne glasses and other trash from the table because no one came around to do so. Would I go back? For sure. Would I recommend? Yes. Advice: arrive early to get a good seat, Order the Brussel sprouts. Most importantly leave your outside food outside.

I had the pleasure of stopping in for brunch with friends on Sunday. Thankful for places that take reservations... and I Love the vibe of this place starting with the sweetest hostess. All of the staff are super friendly. Love the cocktail selections (probably loved the Miami Vice Mimosas more than I should have ). The buffet has a nice variety. I went for the beef links, chicken sausage, potatoes with brussell sprouts, biscuit, grits, and an amazing gravy. EVERYTHING was delicious and I couldn't get enough of the grits and gravy. While the music was on point during my 4 hour visit, at times it was too loud and our party of 7 found ourselves shouting during our conversations. I love this establishment and look forward to stopping in again to try the ala carte menu with the waffle and fried lobster!!

I'd been following them on instagram eagerly awaiting their opening, so when opening week finally came, I rushed in. They were still in sort of a soft opening phase trying to figure out what the hours would be, but I was thrilled to have them open a little bit earlier on a Sunday so we could enjoy some post hike bubbles. When we went in they had two different flight options of three champagnes. We opted for one of each to share, so that way we could try all of the open bottles. In addition to the flights they have champagne by the glass, bottle, and half bottle, as well as a still red, white, and rose, and a beer. They also have a few n/a options and some snacks and light bites. Mel helped us the entire time and was very fun to chat with! A lot of the time champagne can feel unapproachable, and that was not at all the case here. The whole experience was very fun and casual, but in a beautifully upscale space. Whether you're a champagne expert or have never tried it, this is a great spot to come.

This review is long overdue…read more My friends and I booked a Champagne tasting for party of six. Going into this I had absolutely no idea of what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised with the experience. We tasted three different bottles of Champagne. These bottles aren't ones typically found at your standard chain wine store. Bill provided background information on each and led us in a discussion of the differences. He clearly has a passion for this and loved sharing his extensive knowledge. We opted to have cheese to nibble on while we sipped and chatted. There were two other parties there that night but ours was the largest. There are smaller rooms available but our party was in the main seating area. The experience lasted for several hours and is a must for anyone that loves Champagne. This would be a great experience for birthday party or celebration, for a group or a couple. I think the price is rather reasonable for this experience.

I want to be transparent at the outset: we ultimately did not visit, so this review is not about…read morethe Champagne, the space, or the in-person experience. It is specifically about the reservation handling and customer service we experienced. My partner and I recently moved to the Bay Area and enjoy exploring restaurants, wine, and tasting experiences. Our plan for Thursday, August 13, was to attend the San Francisco Champagne Society Happy Hour at 6:00 PM and then go to our confirmed 8:00 PM dinner at Lazy Bear. Our Lazy Bear reservation was correctly booked for August 13. My partner genuinely believed she had also selected August 13 when booking SFCS through Tock, but the completed reservation and reminder emails showed Wednesday, August 12. We do not know whether the date reset during booking or we simply made a selection error. Either way, we acknowledge that we failed to notice the date shown in those two emails and consequently missed the reservation. The next day, as soon as we discovered the problem, we contacted the owner. We did not request a cash refund. We asked whether our prepaid $102.90 Happy Hour reservation could be moved to an available time that day, either 5:00 or 6:00 PM. The owner explained that he had held two seats, prepared the space, and created a menu for the missed reservation. I understand that resources may have been used and that the original booking was designated nonrefundable. However, the only exception initially offered was an upgrade to a $125-per-person experience. The total would be $334.06, with our original $102.90 credited, requiring us to pay an additional $231.16. The first time offered was 7:00 PM, which would not work because of our 8:00 PM dinner. The owner later offered 5:30 PM under the same upgrade condition. Trying to reach a reasonable compromise, we proposed using our original payment for the same Happy Hour experience that day and separately purchasing a $75 or $125 experience that weekend. We explained that we are Champagne enthusiasts, had just moved here, and wanted to explore the different experiences step by step and potentially become repeat customers. The owner's final offer was that we prepay a completely new $125-per-person reservation for any date that month before a 3:00 PM deadline. Only if we made that new purchase--approximately $334.06--would he allow us to attend the previously paid Happy Hour at 5:00 PM that day. He also stated that we could dispute the charge and might win, that Tock's coverage would still pay him, and that we would then be unable to make any future reservations at his establishment. I understand that a business may enforce a nonrefundable no-show policy. If the answer had simply been a polite "no," I would have been disappointed but would have understood. What created such a negative impression was making a substantial, time-limited additional purchase the condition for any accommodation, even after we offered to purchase another experience separately that weekend. It felt less like a gesture of hospitality or a good-faith attempt to resolve an honest mistake and more like using the mistake as leverage to secure an immediate additional sale. The warning that a billing dispute would result in being barred from future reservations made the interaction feel even more adversarial. This was not about the $102.90 or an unwillingness to pay $125 per person. We were already prepared to make another paid reservation. It was about the principle involved and the way the situation was handled. Based solely on this customer-service experience, we decided not to visit or make any future reservations. Again, I cannot evaluate the Champagne or the on-site experience; this review concerns only the reservation process and the owner's handling of the issue.

The brick walls and blackboards looked familiar. There's still a long table in the middle. With the new chairs and tablecloths, the place looked more classy than before. It's quite a nice place to have a quiet, intimate dinner with the causal, yet upscale vibe. There're about eight tables (1-2 persons@) while we're there, and service was attentive, despite having only one server. For the $80 dinner for 2 special, we got to pick one item from each of the first two selections to share, two entrees, and one beignet each. We also added a beet salad to share, and my husband had the wine pairing. For our first course, the two baked oysters were cheesy and rich. It would be better if they were bigger, though. Our second course, the caramelized onion soup was perfectly prepared, one of the best I had ever had. The beet salad was refreshing, and the dressing was so tasty that it made arugula tasted good. I had the sole as my entree; it was cooked well, light and delicious. I took a bite of my husband's slow braised short ribs; it was tender and flavorful. The beignets were delightful, and paired really well with the dark chocolate and salted caramel sauce. I really appreciated that all their hot dishes came out really hot.
