Well, it's been 3 years since my review and Dragon Village has been one of our "go to's" for great lunches and/or dinners. Each time we've been here, the food has been served promptly, hot and delicious. Our recent visit, they've now got daily specials. Today it was the chicken egg foo yung. It, again, came quick and looked completely different from the egg foo yung's I've had before. All the others had the soy sauce based, brown gravy. This one was lighter and almost creamy (but it was not cream-based). HOWEVER, it was no less excellent. The actual egg patty was thicker and loaded shredded chicken and vegetables. This, along with the big chucks of tasty chicken and crisp, fresh vegetables on top, made for an incredibly good lunch! And, as always, there was more than I could eat in one sitting - continuing their solid value as I now have lunch for the next day. Speaking of "value," prices are still quite reasonable. Service is above board; friendly and efficient. We will gladly keep coming back for more. read more

Back when I lived in Colville, all my friends really talked about this place. Better than Panda Express, tastes great... XYZ. All 3 times I have ate here I ended up with the most awful stomach bug. Our party of 4 entrees was brought to us promptly. Server helpful. I really wanted Honey Walnut Shrimp. It was the worst ever. Shrimp was overcooked, had to asked for a knife but it was tough to cut and to chew. It tasted old. I might try to come back bc it is the only Chinese cuisine here and will give them one more chance. I usually love this place when I come in and dine in.... but when I get to go it is a completely different story.... as someone who has soent many years in the restaurant industry I understand how everything can't be perfect all the time...but there customer service is always awesome and the wait time is super quick but unfortunately when I get take out this is what I have gotten multiple times....I only get sweet and sour chicken because im picky and plain but everytime its just fried to the point where its stingy hard over cooked chicken with mostly batter left way to long in the fryer where im eating basically bubbled batter...agian I mention there great service and when I eat in store its always on point...im a simple man but this is just crazy gross I tried picking out the good pieces to make a meal because the food size is always great but I struggled and was left with not much at all that was still edible....agian I get people have off days or are very busy but this has been an issue with take out ....granted I will come back for the customer service and the great meaps I had in the restaurant....but spending twenty dollars on a meal that I mostly had to throw out is not make me happy...especially considering I only eat there as a treat or a special occasion....I wish them well and will return but with reluctance....good luck read more

The best won ton soup we've ever had. The chicken sticks appetizers are delicious. Bo Bo platters are great. Teriyaki grilled chicken is a delight. Some stuff is the usual Chinese restaurant fare. They are awesome about accommodating meals for my food allergies. Seafood dishes don't skimp on the sea food. Love the staff. read more

Definitely a decent place to get Chinese food in this area, but I'd say it has room for improvement. The tofu seems pre-breaded as there is always a weird feeling layer biting into it, and their chow main is very bland imo. Not what I grew up being accustomed to in Chinese restaurants. Still I would recommend eating here as we don't have any other better options for what it is and the food is decent. Good prices for the portions as well. read more

Their wonton war soup is the best I've ever had and I grew up in San Francisco Bay Area and frequented Chinatown in Seattle as well as the San Francisco Bay. Everything else is subpar they are trying to do more authentic but it's not authentic. Everybody working there was amazing and I will go back I will just only get the soup! read more

American Chinese at its best. I wished they let the customer order Ala carte instead of individual orders like traditional Chinese restaurants prefer to do. But, this is an American-Chinese restaurant so I don't expect them to change. I'm not a sweet 'n sour guy so I don't often order that kind of stuff. I ordered the the Peppered Beef, chicken Lo Mein, and the Crispy spring rolls. Who would have thought a small town like Colville, WA could have an Decent American Chinese restaurant like Golden Dragon? People, the food came out HOT! People who know me, know I love it when the food comes out HOT. The spring rolls came out so hot that when I dipped then in the shoyu and hot mustard they just sizzled. I just love that. Actually all of my food came out HOT & FRESH! I like this place because of this as well as for the fact their American Chinese food comes to you clean and not over sauced. What I mean by "over sauces" is the stir fry don't come out drowning in brown sauce or soaked in water. I hate when my Chinese food comes out drenched in sauce. The chefs or cooks served my food just right. Dragon is affordable and well worth the trip into the town of Colville if you're driving through or live in the county. read more

This is honestly the best restaurant in the small berg of Colville. The owners know me by name, I go once a week for the really good food and friendly faces of the staff. I cannot recommend this place enough. Good service, exceptional food and great prices. :) every-time we go it feels like an event and we're treated like family. I highly recommend! read more

Pleasantly surprised! I'm very picky about Asian American foods with having worked in a Thai restaurant for almost 4 years. I got sesame chicken on the lunch special with hot and sour soup and everything was delicious! I asked for extra spice and got the perfect amount. The portion on the lunch special was generous, especially for just less than $12. The staff was very nice and helpful when I had questions and eager to show me their favorites. If you like spice, ask for the chili oil! Perfect addition for an extra kick. Everything was very clean as well, I definitely will be back. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants! When you walk in, you're treated very special and they take the time to make you feel at home. If you're not pleased with their customer service, their food is absolutely delicious! The presentation is aesthetically pleasing and the food is different in all the right ways. Unlike other American Asian restaurants, it doesn't taste overly sweet or deep fried to death. Dragon Village's food tastes fresh and has the perfect balance of spices. This place used to be called Mandarin Gardens but has new owners and i decided to try it as I used to eat at MG before the service and food went south. MG was also looking like a dump. Im so glad I went to eat there, they have made new modifications to brighten the place up and after eating the Happy Family meal I have to say the food is once again great and the service was very good. I will once again become a regular customer to add variation to my dinning experience in the Colville area. Two thumbs up! read more

Ordered the Orange Chicken. It had more of a brown sugar taste & did not detect an orange taste at all. Not spicy at all so I suggest that you ask them to spice things up. I, also, was happy when a new Chinese restaurant opened in town and was eager to try it. My friend and I went for lunch and it was truly awful. The food was almost inedible. I have never seen barbeque pork cooked like this placed cooked it, and it tasted even worse than it looked. My main course, which was pretty expensive, looked like leftovers poured into the dog's dish. And the icing on the cake was that when my friend asked for a refill on her coffee, the waitress told her they would have to make her another cup, because it was instant! There have been many Chinese restaurants in this space, some good, some not so good. But this food was the worst Chinese I have ever eaten anywhere. I left the place very disgruntled because I live on a very limited income and this was supposed to be a treat. It was the complete opposite. This was my second visit. The first was poor but i chalked it up to new ownership and staff so I gave it two months before trying again. I love Chinese food, frequently crave it in fact. Unfortunately this trip was worse! Service was super slow. The food was cold and when i managed to get a waitresses attention, the plate was taken back and simply stuck in the microwave. Anybody know what happens when you reheat fried rice and crispy chicken in a microwave? Apparently this kitchen doesn't! What was returned to me was rice that was dry and flavorless and the chicken was dry with a hard coating. As for the sauce...it was supposed to be sesame chicken, however I dont think this cook has ever tasted sesame chicken. What was served was a sickeningly sweet honey based sauce with no other flavor, simply sprinkled with white sesame seeds. AWFUL! I will not eat here again and if i could give a 0 star rating, I would. Sadly this is the only asian restaurant within 60-70 miles. read more

I've been meaning to come back here ever since the new ownership. Finally went today and had cashew chicken, fried rice, two egg rolls, and egg drop soup. What a difference! Food was great this time, service was quick and polite. My only minor hitch is I'm a large guy and if you are big around the middle, get a table, not a booth. I barely squeezed in and was afraid to move lest I crush the people sitting across from me with the table. Overall good experience though, definitely will return. :) read more

When this place changed ownership I was real excited to try it and after trying it have to say unfortunately was very underwhelmed with the quality, for what it is its not bad. but I even noticed the most basic things like fried rice had no egg and veggies mixed in it.. I think this place would be better if they didn't try and cut corners.I tried the Bobo Platter and I have to say after what I paid for it WOW that was wayy over priced its like 5 different pieces of meat on a special plate that has a fire in the center I honestly did not get the point. As far as the American dishes they didn't seem to make sense like Spaghetti and okra. who does that? I do want to point out that the place has been remodeled and looks good and the new owners are very nice. read more
